I bought three Cyclones and joined the Kickstarter for the Sidewinder. I’ve built an Arrow Dynamics Corkscrew with the Cyclone kits. I’m currently working on an Intamin Xcelerator and planning a Vekoma Boomerang. The one issue I have with the kits is the difficulty free building as there is no track spine like on most steel coasters. However, I have devised a system for building a track spine which I’m using on current and future builds. Basically it’s a core of flex-tube substitute with 1x1 hollow round bricks & plates, plus 1x2 Technic bricks with one pin hole, and Technic pins with stud connecting it all together. If CDX could come up with a solution of their own, it would take these kits to the next level.
I have two Cyclones, a little dipper, a sidewinder and a another cyclone in the way and I'm in the process of building a very large one. I can't help but wonder what it needs a spine for?
I’m always nervous cutting the track. I fortunately have a lot of spare track from other kits. But we’ve not had a problem and they give you an extra rail joiner so you could splice in a section if you cut it too short
I personally have this set, and I’ve gotta say, when you first insert the track, you need to pay real close attention to which way you go. I wasn’t paying attention, so I had to re do it a total of 4 times. Overall, this is my favorite building set roller coaster I’ve built.
The audio is fine (at least it didn't perforate my eardrums -it would have been unbearable to have the recording microphone any nearer the coaster) and your cat is tooooo funny! The set is really neat, although it looks very fiddly building the track supports. Another one for me to look for on auction sites I guess.
I really like the look of the cdx roller coaster sets but one thing that I really don't like about them is they don't have any part of the track that looks like it could be the start of the track so that you can build a platform for the riders to lineup to get on than for them to board the coaster. Anyways if they had this i would be extremely happy with them i just don't like this part because you can't really build them into a Lego theme park and have them look realistic like the Lego branded coasters have been built to look real.🙂👍✌
Just depends on where you want to have it located at me personally i redesigned the chain lift system so it looked a little more realistic to what a real coaster would have its a little more like the first white Lego coaster is setup at least this is what I did because I don't like how the crank is located at the top of peak of the roller coaster.
Did anybody notice one length is a few inches longer than the other? At that moment of realization my heart dropped with throbbing fingers. I could have cut less track.
No and LEGO does not want to work with me. Despite all that I have done. I have been rejected multiple times from working with them through affiliate, LAN, or otherwise.
Yeah, you can clearly see the cat looking at the picture on the box, maybe comparing it to what's being built. A stupid cat would sit ON the track, not inside observing.

Your cat is super cute
When I got my Cyclone set built, my cat loved it!😁
Very impressed. It worked on the first try

Nice to see dunkster in the comments again. I wish I could afford the LEGO creator roller coaster
Impressive that it worked first time. I would be nervous to cut the track at the end.

The cat really thinks it’s his new toy. Hilarious!!!
That’s pretty cool

I purchased this kit for my daughter to build. May I ask what train kit that you've got on the table is? Nice build love the cat 8-)
Thank you. It is a bunch of different things - various LEGO train sets and customs. Plus there is another CDX Blocks coaster.
Great build Charlie. :-)

Seems the janky Arrow on-site profiling happens here as well

How do you install the motor to them anyway

Yeah it's logical that the inner rail would be shorter than the outer rail. Thanks for noting that. One to remember when I get this set myself.x
I’m having a hard time with the tracks. They keep coming off.
Watching the cat climb around it gave me anxiety
Your dutch!
Last time I checked I wasn't - but who knows their family tree for real? lol
1:27 Cat; uuuuuhhh ? 0_0 :/
do u work for lego

This is not a Lego set so Lego wouldn't want anything to do with this in particular.🤷♂️👍✌
didn’t work for me
helpful but the stupied cat
The cat is not stupid
