Honestly, these frames are really nice for the money. The geo isn't the best in the world, but you will be surprised how nice of a bike these are compared to competitors. Cube uses the same frames for its whole lineup so even if you get an Aim you're getting a good bike, albeit with much lower-end components.
Manitou Markhor would be a very good replacement, or a Suntour Raidon trade-in for about the same price. The Raidon's air spring is not bad for the money but the Markhor has a real compression dial, and to me that's a huge benefit for XC.
It alright for the beginner rider but the only descent thing on it is the sx 1x12 and even that is the lowest end 1x12 sram does, also dropouts are annoying, I’d recommend to a beginner a bike that has a rockshox recon on it or something. Bikes like orange clockwork, calibre line 29, whyte 629, Marin san Quentin are all good cheap hardtails. I got the calibre sentry for 2k brand new for Christmas!! Well let be realistic, bike weight is 14 kilos. It has coil spring with QR, it has MT200 brakes which are pretty bad and don’t brake well, has no tapared steerer ☹️ It will be great if the bike had air fork with 15mm hub, tapered steerer, bigger and better brakes and tubeless tires. With that it will be lighter by 2 kilos for sure
I just ordered a 2021 Cube Acid 29er and I plan on installing a PNW dropper... not sure about the Analog but the Acid has his pre-formed holes on the down pipe that are for a front derailleur option. I plan to run my dropper cable through there and drill a small hole in the seat post tube I think this will work excellent...as a 5/32” hole is not going to hurt frame strength at all.
I got mine today, the brakes are a bit loose when you brake and it takes some time to get the brakes down. The seller said it should be like that and it gets better when you cycle a bit and there was nothing to adjust. Is this right? Were your brakes like that too
It will not get better. I sold mine brakes and got M6000 brakes and put 180mm rotors. Bike brakes much more better and you feel on the lever that you have still more force id needed
They make high end xc bikes too....but i think they are some years behind of the market...My old cube has almost the same specs as my dads cube from -85. Thats baaad! They need to progress their products!!

They could, at least, make a taper head of the frame as for 2021, if the fork was replaced, there would be a greater choice

pnw components have a 120 ml internal 27.2 dropper that will fit.

you need to give it a few rides for the brakes to adjust, it's natural on all disc brakes

@@syngonsmythe38 I have a lot of problems with my Cube stereo 150. Cube does a lot of mistakes when sending parts. Waiting time is at least 3 weeks.
