- HELLO EVERYONE! In this video I’ll be giving you a tour of my living room in my one bedroom apartment. I’ll be discussing where I got some items and how I DIY them to create this Afrocentric Bohemian styled look on a BUDGET! Love your style! It would be sooo helpful to sound balance because your voice is low and the music quite loud.
The beaded purse you are using for decor is very old, i believe older than you think, so please keep it! I have one very similar to it that belonged to my mother that she bought when I was a little girl. I'm now 62...so you have a really vintage piece there. Very nice tour.

The Egyptian picture is made of papyrus which is a wetland grass type plant that Egyptians used as paper and still use for artwork...
You've done a lovely job. You have great taste. Only thing I would do is edit a bit. It's a little cluttered. Too many wonderful things.

It's exciting when interior decor projects feel a life of their own due to the high originality and the large number of "handmade" elements that make it look so interesting, artistic and organic. They are the type of environments that I find most welcoming and warm. I'd like to have more "boho" details in my living room. Right now, I'm looking for a coffee table like that to use with my Togo sofa from Manhattan Home Design. Thanks for the tour! Very nice and interesting.

Hi loving your mix of mid century modern dining room to your boho lounge, think you ought to get new legs for your single sweaters also and your 'Crystal ' candle holder is actually a Himalayan salt candle holder that help purify the air by change negative ions in the air, but the plug in ones work so much better. Oh love the palette shelving unit, and wow your dog picture is amazing and your waves, you ought to do some bigger picture to hang up yourself.
Oh and so sorry to point this out but your music drowns and crackles over you beautiful work, perhaps chose a different sound track.

I love love love your room!!! Where did you find that Buddha head planter? I love it and the African statue and mask are amazing. Your style is that perfect blend. My Goodwill never has cool things like that there. $45 for a peacock chair? We used to buy back in the 80’s for about $120 and now they run from $600-$800!!! You got a find for sure. Love your room

The fireplace was already built when i bought it. I just painted it white and drew a design along the top!

I have to agree with @ least 1 other person, but I say it with all the good kindness in the world... My crib has a jungle theme and A LOT of tropical houseplants, the style is African/Asian bohemian maximalism. It's full of items I inherited, was gifted or thrifted. I'd like to film everything and put it online, but I live in the hood and I'm afraid I might get robbed. lol

I enjoy seeing the African elements however would not call your style Bohemian which typically involves a lot of color. Perhaps you think the Bohemian factor is that you thrift many of your items, still the effect is formal rather than Bohemian. And I think the candle is Himalayan salt. Anyway I think you've created a very pleasing effect.
