    This week on TestDrive James is back in Québec testing the 2022 Tesla Model 3 Short Range Single Motor, a 50 kWh version of Tesla's compact electric sedan. We go over all the technical specifications about this Model 3 including the US and Canadian pricing, along with some of the options available.
    James discusses some of the pros and cons that come with the Tesla vehicles such as software-locked features that require purchase, Full Self Driving Mode, the changes with the 2022 model year, and other details about this vehicle that potential buyers might be interested in knowing.
    James then takes the 2022 Tesla Model 3 on a real world road test to talk about how this EV drives, handles, rides, and performs, and some of the reasons why you'd want to consider this over the more expensive versions, along with the benefits of going up to those pricier models.

    Great video man! But charging your phone in the car (wireless or cable) will not impact the range of the car! A typical phonebattery is around 8 watt-hours, your cars battery is 60.000 watt hours! So you could charge 74 phones from 0-100% without seeing even ONE percent drop on your car : )

    They will slow down the bandwidth with premium connectivity if you are using a lot. They don't state at what point they will do that.
    Also with the LFP battery in the standard range model being able to charge up to 100% daily, you can actually get a similar if not more daily range from it than the long range, since that is recommended to be kept between 20 to 70-80% and only going to a full charge before a road trip.

    jeez, that rear light you showed with the condensation is way out of alignment. Look at all the funky gaps. They still can't seem to align things years later. • @PRNTestDrive
      @PRNTestDrive  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If in North America then the answer should be no, not because Tesla can't do it but because US DOT laws are outdated and don't allow for the same high-tech headlight systems used throughout Europe and the rest of the developed world, although I believe recent legislation has been passed to fix this. So maybe it'll be possible in the near future.

    All the vehicles I have owned have had condensation in the tail lights. The lights in there are warm and the outside is colder so moisture accumulates inside. This doesn't happen as often with headlights as often as they usually have air flow or an area for the air to vent.

      It depends on what you mean by more money. I don’t know the specifics of how Uber operates and pays their drivers, I believe they charge a bit more for hybrid/eco vehicles, and perhaps even for EVs. Not everyone is going to select that option when booking a vehicle though. You’ll likely save money using an EV over an ICE vehicle as maintenance costs will be lower, and you aren’t paying for gas.
