This guide is amazing and the format is so much better than others', showing the real time fight after explaining is incredibly useful. PLEASE MAKE MORE THANK YOU
It’s very quick, there’s a lot of visual clutter, and *any* mistakes from *anyone* will usually result in missing the damage check. *BUT* it’s just 2:47 seconds at the front of the fight and with focus, good rotation, and maybe some good callouts, almost anyone should be able to do it. Good luck and happy raiding!
@ Oh please, like we aren’t griefing ourselves just fine. Plus you don’t know. Maybe they got a late start. Maybe they’re just with a chill static and not trying to rush things. Do what you want. More people should try Ultimates, IMO.
@qwerty-dm8gr I'm not going to stay out of FRU, at least not forever. I know m4s like the back of my hand at this point but Primal raiding in PF is abhorrent
This is so welcome, thank you! :) This will be my first Ultimate and man people are already getting _quite_ impatient in PF to speed along as quickly as possible. Personally I'd like to aim more for consistency myself, but having this will certainly let me maneuver through the PF scene easier!
i actually love that you show the mechanic in real time after you explain it with the graphs, like I wish more people's guides did that because it's easy to read about it in practice but i feel like you need to see it to know what's happening.
Excited to slowly but surely make progress with FRU. First up, gearing up, practicing rotations and M4S xD Thank you for this P1 guide! This will be incredibly helpful!! :D
I love the vid and thanks for making it, it got me to p2 easily and I always appreciate your guides. I note that for Fall of Faith at 8:19 D1 takes the "north" spot after the 2nd tether goes off, which is different to what H2 does on the west side (a simple swap with the other tethered player). This might just be an adjustment for positionals, however someone's pasted a snip of this image on the Materia Raiding FRU page and at first glance it doesn't match the raidplan or your text about the westmost/eastmost players in the conga, so just something to keep in mind for anyone coming from that page.
A lot of work has been going into the Fru pastebin so I hope Materia will work towards keeping strats aligned with the broader player base. Not sure who organizes the Marteria Raiding strats site but there were some really odd minor variations in arcadion strats from NA and EU that felt a bit 'just cause' that make cross DC raiding a little headachy. That said, the Kobe guides are well put together. Would be nice if Kobe and Hector and the discord folks collabed more than competed. PF likes to just get stuck in some bad habits anyway though.
Hey everybody, there is a very small error in animation at 8:19. D1 and D4 should just be swapped. Thanks.

Seeing a breakdown like this makes it seem like something i can actually do! First things first tho. Gotta clear m4s

Honestly if you're still struggling in m4s just stay out of fru. You're just going to grief everyone there.

This is one of the best guides I've ever seen. I'll do my best to make sure people see this.

Oh no, you're exactly right, a slight error in animation by me, sorry. Thanks for letting me know, will pin a comment.
spectacular video. thanks a bunch kobe
Great video!
Love the video! Thanks!
No problem, glad you enjoyed it!
looking forward to your guide for the rest of the fight. :)
Appreciate the guide!
question, how come it looks like your character is constantly sliding?
Cheers
Oh no Thancred… what have you become… (I may not have beaten shadowbringers yet)
vid good

where do you find the fru pastebin?
I think stuff from P3 onwards will be faiiiirly standard since there's not too too much variation in how things can be resolved (outside of lineups)
commenting for visibility! kobe is the best!
what's the reasoning for modified clock spots? is it an uptime thing? i've been confused about it since day 1 😭
Full uptime & making melee+ranged pairs for pairs/spread.
@@bigkobelivei figured as such!! thank you for the great guide!!
Great vid with great POVs and diagrams! Can I suggest you get a pop filter? You have a lot of mouth smacking sounds and it's quite distracting...
Thanks for the suggestion, I bought one yesterday, but I think it's a bit of an involuntary thing for me to work on. Sorry.

It at least mostly is, though, at this point. EDIT: But I take your point and joke about entitled people complaining about things like that xD
