I prefer Lay's style, and personally I'd give him a bit of an edge over kai because of how much control he has over his body. But overall I think of them as being tied. Both are incredible dancers and it really does come down to what kind of style you like best.

I think he just prefers to concentrate his energy on singing. I remember reading that their choreographer said Kyungsoo is naturally good at dancing and that Chanyeol bless his heart trys so hard but it's not natural to him

For me the height of Xiumin works better than Sehun, Xiumin is about the same height than Lay, Kai is tall but average, meanwhile Sehun and Chanyeol are another level and to me that makes them looks weird when they dance, if you follow dancers you can see that most of them are not that tall...
I think if Xiumin had the opportunity to show his talent seriously ... in dance it would be as amazing as Lay and singing would be one of the best vocals

This is the first video I watched where Lay is ranked 1 in dancing which is accurate. The order for me would be: 1). Lay (his dance is more fluid and sharp than Kai) 2.) Kai (he has immense stage presence ya'll) 3.) Xiumin (he's consistently our Kim "no-half-assed-performances" Min-seok) 4.) Sehun (his moves are sharp but not that fluid) 5.) D.O (although towards 2018-2019, there are some stage performances wherein he doesn't put that much effort) 6-7) Baekhyun and Chen (they dance so well considering they have to hit those notes. bless them.) 8) Suho (I really don't understand him he flings his arms like his life depended on it. he gets the choreo but it's just not in-sync with everyone) 9) Chanyeol (my poor boy tries so hard, he's still cool)
totally agree with your ranking Lay xing is the best of the best. from hard core to slow smooth dancing to ballet and to the sexy dance. so versatile of all in the world. so precise sharp strong and always in the beat of the song very synchronized with the beat of the music and the song.

I really love your opinion. I know this was a harder ranking to do since alot of them have improved greatly. My ranking would be: Lay/Kai/ Xiumin Sehun Baekhyun Chen D.O Suho Chanyeol I will tell you my honest opinion as to why I ordered them this way(the top four only because this gonna get really long^^). They all specialize in different things and you can not easily compare them(Ranking=Comparing=sad truth). I put Lay/Kai/xiumin as top 3 because they all possess some of the same things but they all still stand out from the rest with individual style of their own.(IMO) Lay: Swift powerful movements. Can be smooth and sharp. (Versatile but you can tell in every movement he makes that specializes in *Hiphop/urban dance* type dances and movements.) Kai: Smooth intense and Charismatic movements. (Versatile) Specializes in Ballet/Charismatic Theatre performances. Xiumin: Powerful Detailed/precise and charismatic movements. (Versatile) Specializes in Asian inspired/Martial arts dance. Can be very Charismatic which is why his cute dances work. Sehun: A great dancer with sharp to the point movements. I believe he dances better with dances that involve footwork/and free-er styles so If I could pick a specific style for him it'd be maybe mainly *Urban dancing/hiphop* (basically the same thing)... I would continue with Baekhyun and the other members who have improved so much recently but is gonna get way longer. This is just my opinion but it will be interesting to see what other ppls opinions are^^
sehun doesn't dance with so much strength and energy but with a lot of technique. That's why it's better than xiumin. Actually, sehun in debut danced with much more energy.. in dance practice of mama and history you can see the high level of dancing. my theory is that he preserves himself in the stages to have a stable vocal

I think Lay and D.O. have similar dancing styles, although Lay puts more effort and conviction in his. They both have the natural groove. Kai absolutely has the technique, precision and execution down to a T. I think Xiumin should be ranked higher than Sehun. He has better technique and execution. SM really sleeps on Xiumin's talent. He could be a main/lead vocalist and main/lead dancer.

But I ALWAYS end up watching xiumin in most song and sometimes Kai (Xiumin - my bias wrecker for Kai) He has always been quiet but once he breaks the ice , xiumin is perfect in all. I think that Lay and Kai are both good, it's just they have different feelings when they dance. Lay has a different feeling on stage and for Kai I personally think he is GREAT at freestyle because he gets into the music.

I agree with this. Not just because yixing is my ult but he truly is the best dancer. The way his body moves is just incredible. Although, I would place minseok at number 2. I will tell you my honest opinion as to why I ordered them this way(the top four only because this gonna get really long^^). They all specialize in different things and you can not easily compare them(Ranking=Comparing=sad truth). I put Lay/Kai/xiumin as top 3 because they all possess some of the same things but they all still stand out from the rest with individual style of their own.(IMO)
Lay: Swift powerful movements. Can be smooth and sharp. (Versatile but you can tell in every movement he makes that specializes in *Hiphop/urban dance* type dances and movements.)
Kai: Smooth intense and Charismatic movements. (Versatile) Specializes in Ballet/Charismatic Theatre performances.
Xiumin: Powerful Detailed/precise and charismatic movements. (Versatile) Specializes in Asian inspired/Martial arts dance. Can be very Charismatic which is why his cute dances work.
Sehun: A great dancer with sharp to the point movements. I believe he dances better with dances that involve footwork/and free-er styles so If I could pick a specific style for him it'd be maybe mainly *Urban dancing/hiphop* (basically the same thing)... I would continue with Baekhyun and the other members who have improved so much recently but is gonna get way longer. This is just my opinion but it will be interesting to see what other ppls opinions are^^

sehun doesn't dance with so much strength and energy but with a lot of technique. That's why it's better than xiumin. Actually, sehun in debut danced with much more energy.. in dance practice of mama and history you can see the high level of dancing. my theory is that he preserves himself in the stages to have a stable vocal

I think Lay and D.O. have similar dancing styles, although Lay puts more effort and conviction in his. They both have the natural groove. Kai absolutely has the technique, precision and execution down to a T. I think Xiumin should be ranked higher than Sehun. He has better technique and execution. SM really sleeps on Xiumin's talent. He could be a main/lead vocalist and main/lead dancer.

I know Lay is a very good dancer. But I ALWAYS end up watching xiumin in most song and sometimes Kai (Xiumin - my bias wrecker for Kai) He has always been quiet but once he breaks the ice , xiumin is perfect in all. Singin-, rap/ballad/sexy voice.... and perfect dancing. The one whos always all over the stage.

I agree with this. Not just because yixing is my ult but he truly is the best dancer. The way his body moves is just incredible. Although, I would place minseok at number 2. His dancing is fucking incredible and the amount of feeling he puts into it... Oh god ... But he's always getting over looked. Whether it be for his vocals or dancing. Sehun at one point might've been considered the best dancer but lately he's just been slacking. Like he doesn't have to try hard with dancing BC people already think of him as the main dancer
