    WELL DONE VIDEO! i got mine about Year ago after having one for 22 years that felt apart. I was afraid to use water on this one, so I just used dry brush here and there without taking it apart. I didn't realize it is not difficult to take it apart so I did for the first time. After dry brush and compressed air cleaning, this thing shaves better than it did when new. THANKS AGAIN for down to the point Instructions!

    My 2 cents worth is shaking the rotary blade in a glass jar like that could damage the points of the tiny blades, another then that great tutorial. Thanks

    Doesn't shaking vigorously in the glass jar damage the blades of the heads? I would imagine it would be a very easy way to dull them prematurely. Also, does it not need any further treatment after the vinegar application?

    Back before we had water rinse able shavers we took them apart weekly and brushed them out and then soaked the heads and cutters in rubbing alcohol. After they air dryed, reassembled and gave the heads a quick spray of shaver lube and they were good to go. Back then we took care of things, I still do.

    Disassemble once a week and rinse out the combs and cutters. Reassemble and let dry completely then lightly spray the heads with a cleaner/lube like Andis Cool Care. Simple maintenance that keeps your shaver working like new.

    Before I watched this video, I couldn't get the blue circles on/off. You managed to sort it out for me, so many thanks. I couldn't believe how much crap there was in the 3 blade assemblies! Got it mostly out ok and your vinegar trick finished it off for me. If you don't have a jar then make sure you have a heat-proof glass (like one of those Irish coffee glasses with a metal handle) and use a drinks coaster to keep the water/vinegar in when shaking it :-)

    Thank you for the video. Pls do give some info as to how one should lubricate the blades of time permits. How often and with what brands of oil? I have a Braun 9290 shaver and they say to add a few drops of the Braun shaver oil before putting it in the clean and charge station if the shaver is often used with water instead of dry shaving. I use Wahl Clipper oil and do this once a week before I put it in the clean and charge station which also lubricates while cleaning.

    • @dodeedo
      @dodeedo  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not sure a tooth brush would work well. The main issue you have is oil from your skin which then sticks things to the blade. The hot vinegar works well as it is a very effective degreaser. Using the toothbrush afterwards would work well if there is still dirt on the blades

    Can we drop multiple heads at the same time (inside one bottle)?
    Also do we need to oil the shaver/head? I read the manual and remember of it mentioned that we need to oil it.

    • @dodeedo
      @dodeedo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is important to keep the blades and heads matched hence I would suggest doing them one at a time.
      Foil shavers need to be oiled, there is nothing in the manuals for these that says to oil them. oil can trap the hairs and clog up the blades so i think best to keep them clean.

      It depends on peoples beards .people beards grow differently some can be curly or flat or grows in all sorts of directions .so some people will benefit better with a rotary shaver while others will benefit better with a foil shaver .the bruan series 9 pro cuts great for me very close .the arch 6 is like a proglide blade when used wet but still cuts very good dry .so it depends on your beard I don’t think rotary blades would be great for me since bruan works wonders I haven’t tried a rotary shaver but normally if a foil shaver ain’t good for someone a rotary shaver works wonders for them I seen people saying rotatory savers don’t work for them it useless and I have seen people saying foil shavers is useless on them so as I said it all depends on the way your beard grows but technically if people have the beard for a foil shaver foil will defeat rotary blades

    I watched this video and said to my self that’s not good shaking your blades in a jar because they will hit the glass and it probably would hit the sharp part of the blade. Like the other review use a soft tooth brush and when cleaning brush the same way the blade go and not the other way because the brush will get cut and it will blunt the blade. If any one wants to sharpen there blades grab a piece of glass or small mirror put silicone metal polish on the mirror the turn the blades against the sharp edge just turn it round and round don’t press to hard your see the polish change colour do it for about two minutes then do the other two you’re know when they are sharp. This doesn’t need to be done a lot may be once a year or so.

  • @RudydeGroot

    😯Cleaning the individual heads like that ruins the sharpening of the heads because you're shaking it against the glass.. Also, grease is a good thing.. You don't want to get rid of it with vinegar. Another thing not mentioned in the video is that if you clean the shaving heads, you always have to unlock them (and clean them) one at a time because they only fit in one slot.

    You really ruined the cutting heads by shaking the cutting heads in the glass jar.

      Agree with you shaking that will cause the small and sharp blade dull better you use like andis cool care or Remington shaver2 to lubricate and clean your blades

      The head should still be able to be run under water. Best advise is to look for the model and search for instructions then you know for sure

    Do you actually need to clean after every single shave?

    • @dodeedo
      @dodeedo  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually just rinse under the tap, this is a deep clean suggest every 2-3 months

      @@dodeedo Thank you! I think I will take it back to the shop, because after first shave I had a such big skin irritation... especially on my neck area. Before.. and still I am using Braun series 3 shaver and never had that problem. But anyway, thanks for your help!

    Just use an old toothbrush and clean one head at a time......do not mix the heads as they wear in their groves..........once a week should keep your blades in great shape.....have my original heads for 5 years and shaves like new.....I think the original blades are made of a harder material than the replacement ones.....they always last the longest....

    You DEFINITELY should NOT shake the razor heads in the jar because that damages them when you hit them. The vinegar is great but the shaking is ridiculous.

    Vinegar is too acidic. It will corrode the blades. Use wash up liquid like Dawn (in USA) or Fairy Liquid in UK. These will clean the blades with the help of a toothbrush. Oil the heads after cleaning with a drop of shaver oil.

    Really! DO NOT TRY TO DEEP CLEAN THE RAZOR HEADS. I am now the owner of a totally useless razor because it is impossible, even with instructions, to re-assemble the heads. The blue locking device is a piece of crap.
