But why his voice got accolades, instead of other artist's,believe me I've heard better voices than that,it's possibly because it was at the beginning of the reggae craze,it was unusual for people to hear that type of music for the first time,it was because he was around at that time ,he was seen as an originator, not because his voice was that special🇯🇲🌴

He tries at least. But he is too foolish and naïve and fell for the trap many times so his tries came too late. He was already part of the crippling and blinding society and got rich that way. He fell in love with a hore who would suck D and get married and do anything to be in the public eye and find a way to make money. She fell for the money hungry Kanye but when he started getting frustrated because he was being put in his place, she quickly left him and didn't want to risk her fame and popularity since that is more important to her than her own family. Kanye was too loud too fast against powerful people who would lose 100's of millions if their public image is ruined. Like pres Bush, Nike, Jay Z and other companies. You don't get to do that and remain free without consequence. He was too popular to be killed so they decided to avoid that drama and took all of his credibility and burned his brain with electro brain treatment from which he had to recover memory and that is how you reset a persons thinking and brain but it is used One treatment at a time in rare cases after years of no success with very strong meds. They fd him up right away. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram gone and not even his people know why and don't answer any interviews out of fear of what they saw happen to him. Those sites alone are worth over 10mil per year but they don't want to give him any chance of VOICING HIMSELF TO MASS OUDIENCE...it is the clearest case of corrupt greedy murderous wealthy lost souls who make huge decisions and are bound by their role for life. You cant just decide to switch once you have the power of that voice. Bob Marley was a true threat and was never limited by money or internet or anything similar. His voice was 100x more powerful given that in his time we didn't even have TV's in homes. If he was to exist today he would be murdered a lot quicker...too dangerous for the crocked government. Too much power. Same reason Malcolm X and Martin Luther King were killed...To dangerous.

This 65 yr old white man from San Diego California have read Mr. James book and it was great, real, gritty with characters right out of the time period portrayed. I saw Bob Marley in concert in 1979 and Peter Tosh numerous times in concert at the old California Theatre in downtown San Diego. These two ICONS showed many of us a music genre which transcended race, color or creed where we came together to support the have notes and fight the OPPRESSOR MAN. I highly recommend the book and of course Reggae, THE BIG MUSIC WITH A MESSAGE FROM A LITTLE ROCK. REST IN PEACE BOB AND PETER, GOD BLESS ALL, RESPECT.

In his young age, Bob Marley slept on a concrete floor; he saw kids walking with their bare feet. Many would go hungry all day...maybe 'till the morning light. He saw violence.... So he who had a human and sensitive heart had to speak for the weak, therefore fight for him: that was him! Nevertheless, this endeavor required a strong mind or courage in order to spread a message for a change, while not being worried about himself suffering. He saw others first; he put himself last. He paid the heavy price for being the good, the bad and the ugly teamed up and eliminated him. RIP Robert Nesta Marley. "It's Natural Mystic..."!

Bob Marley. One of a kind. Unique talent, artist, song writer, political activist, freedom fighter, visionary. Not perfect, human, in a world that perfect is not enough.
To me, Bob Marley, rebelled against the main stream politics and governments that profit from controlling society and keeping them hooked in their system of capitalist mass exploitative consumerism.
Bob Marley wrote about that and how to escape. Many if not most people love Bob Marley and the Wailers music.
Shame, most people do not listen to the message he preaches and do something to change the world that we all share.

Here is a personal observation from 1976 to 1978. I was 13 to 15 years old, upper middle class in the USA. Adults were visibly afraid of 3 things; the desperate attempt to convert to the metric system, punch card computers and Bob Marley and the Wailers. No lie! I went to every type of rock concert possible without an ounce of protest from my mother but when I wanted to go to the Jai Alai Fronton and see if these guys really smoked huge blunts on stage, she tied me to my bed. (parents could do things like then and honestly it was the only way and the only time she won). She just knew rape and murder was the only outcome for anyone who went to this concert, period. The woman was seriously fearful for the future of the world! It was then I really noticed all adults were absolutely fearful of this music and the musicians who played it. So fearful that they tried to make it seem like this massive gang led by a singer...did anyone else see it that way?

Rubbish that Marley was dangerous. Many of the things marley sang about was dangerous but not unique to Marley alone. Marley could only inspire Jamaicans to think for themselves which he was not able to do. End of story. Ideas are more potent than any individual. Individuals die but ideas lives forever

Why do you feel the need to diminish who Bob Marley was? Nobody ever claimed that his ideas or message was unique to him. The fact that his message was so pure and necessary then and now and that it has transcended so many nations and culture is what is uniquely powerful. While you're right that ideas live on, their potency is encapsulated by the vehicle (Bob) ....Furthermore in your bitterness you fail to understand that mental liberation is always a work in progress so no one individual will accomplish same. Hopefully you're on your own path to enlightenment where you can exude positive energy Mr Robert Linton.

I recommend checking out the history of Polish people who, as the only non-Black people in the world, shed blood for the freedom of African slaves. It happened in Haiti. That was the realest proof of brotherhood.

This man is talking against Bob Marley, he is not recognised like Bob, it is envy. He went to all boys school, therefore, maybe he is keeping it MALE, has nothing to do with the FEMALES. Bob wasn't like that. Bob was not a terrible nor a wicked or dreadful, he just expressed himself through music, but this guy apparently did not like it.

Marley was very very dangerous. When a man spreads love, peace and unity while spreading the message that alcohol is poison and Canabis is the cure to many social issues will get you many enemies. Look at MLK...you they all rest in peace.
