Rita Marley is an angel and an icon in her own right. I remember visiting her home at Aburi in Ghana with my friends from school. A lots of memories from that visit. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

@@darkworld6191 I thought Kingsley did a good job but the amount of detail on Bob Marley’s life was really shallow and didn’t spend enough time showing the audience who Marley really was and it left out some key details about his life and too much time on Rita. Also, not enough of his music was on display in the movie. In a way the movie felt rushed.

Just saw the movie. Biblical. I love how they showed his temper and bit of loss of control, but he was truly humbled, enlightened being in the end. To say his life was for others not him, is just another level of godlike. . What a legend.
I saw it today. It was incredible. I laughed and cried. So powerful. I saw people crying and singing too. Wow. Bob is an icon. Great cast.

Saw the movie earlier and it was so captivating that I did not want it to end! Getting a sense of Bob's raw emotional state while battling through adversity was heartfelt. It was a reminder that no matter how big the world sees you, we are all just humans trying to navigate the roadblocks of life. Additionally, learning just how important Rita was in his life was emotionally stimulating as God really does provide people with living angels. Every good man needs an even better woman backing him. This is a fact! Blessings to Bob and Rita. May Bob rest in love and peace 🇺🇸 🇯🇲

Ziggy, you did it. Wonderful film. Acting is excellent. The lead actor who played Bob morphed in to him as during the movie I had to remind myself that’s not Bob that’s the actor. His accent was a little off during one scene where his Trini accent was coming through. All in all, a very good film, Ziggy, your dad would be proud. The lady who played Rita was excellent. Not enough can be said about her performance, you could feel the compassion and empathy for Rita through her performance. Rita Marley is such a strong woman. Dealing with all of that unfortunately took its toll on her with her stroke, and through the performance of the young lady, you could clearly see why. Very good film. Thank you Ziggy. The metaphorical scenes of the young Bob are excellent etc.

Well the actors mother is from Trinidad, so it could have been the Trini you were hearing.
I love that they did this because this can teach our younger generation who Bob Marley was . My son who is 10 is well aware because we love Bob in our house ! Plus my husband is African and they love him!

I needed this in Puerto Rican and Dominican born and raised in PR. We moved to the U.S. in 2007 when I was 5 years old. I came here speaking only Spanish not understanding a lick of English. So growing up in an all white school I was bullied so much about being color brown and having an accent and also just my hair being different texture from theirs. As I grew up I started getting better at hiding my accent and now I’m 22 years old I for some reason refuse to talk Spanish in public even with my own people at times. Sometimes I have to water it down to not get the attention either. This is so refreshing to hear because I’ve been thinking about this for so long but I feel like there’s people that can’t relate to me. I appreciate this♥️🙏🏽

Bob Marley One Love was a great film, my theatre was packed and people singing the songs and I learned so much about the life of Bob Marley and his life surrounding his music.
We get to see his relationship with his Wife and so much more, it's worth watching on the big screen and good enough to see twice! It is the perfect movie for Black History Month!

Great movie! I loved the acting and the story. I like how they showed how close Bob and the wailers were. They ate together, jogged together, bathed together, played soccer together, and played music together. He and his band were like a family. Bob was a good dude. He loved people and just wanted peace and love for all the jamaican people.

Saw the movie last night and I must say I was filled with so much joy watching as a Jamaican living abroad. I was in amazement, hearing Bob’s message and how he wanted to reach the people through his music, and in that very moment watching, I looked around and smiled with tears in my eyes when I saw people from varying ages, race and culture all there watching. It was quite profound actually. Bob Marley is truly Devine and was placed on this earth for a higher purpose. I also wanted to get up and dance when his music was playing in the movie. I just really loved everything of the movie, even though I already knew the story. Well done Ziggy.

Saw the movie yesterday. It was such a wonderful representation of who Bob was, and the message of his music, is about unifying humanity with the love of the Most High that when we tap into that energy of love; humanity will come together knowing we are all one, that vibrational energy that flows through us but has become lost along the way.

I am going to see this movie tomorrow and I don't know much about Bob either. I'm a new fan of his music but I don't know anything about his life so I'm going blind. I'm glad that one of my best friends wanted to go because I got hooked on his music. It's just so calming and relaxing and I love the Jamaican rhythm to it. So interested in finding out more about him. RIP Bob, and I'm living proof that new generations are still getting introduced to your music and enjoying it. 😀 (He died quite a while before I was born. Nearly a decade actually.)

This movie was soooo good! And i love that they really touched on the skin cancer. Alot of black people still think we can not get skin cancer so I love that this was addressed so well in the movie. Great film.
Not to disrespect Bob Marley because I love him and his music always but I wish he would have listened to his doctors and got his toe amputated when he found out he had cancer than he would still be here with us all. It’s a very good selfless thing to think of others before oneself however Bob was so young when he died and he left behind his kids and wife. I think the world would have been a different place had he lived.

I have a message for those who don't know the truth and reject Bob Marley for being a Rasta and smoking cannabis. A woman who was part of Bob's chorus in the concerts became Christian and turn herself to God, this woman went to visit Bob Marley at the hospital before he died and she bought a message from God Almighty to surrender he's life and accept Jesus Christ as Only Savior... Bob Marley knew about this because he was a Christian who was baptized in water and spirit before becoming a rasta and he knew the Truth (Jesus Christ) but he was confused by the rasta religion,... I saw and heard this woman's testimony in a tv show named "Turning Point" and she clearly said that he did accept Jesus Christ as Only Savior and turn he's life into God before he passed away.
So for all those who condemned him... If you make it to heaven don't be surprised to see Bob Marley there next to Jesus and Father God Almighty. I hope this testimony touches people's heart and understands what Jesus said about Him being The Truth, The Way, and The Life, and no one comes to the Father only through Him. God ir real and not a religion. God bless you all.

Reggae as an art form is under appreciated. It is spiritual music that I believe more people should listen to. We can connect to it on a deeper level. I'm starting to write songs.
