They Should Admit This Was a Mistake.

Yea that’s not going to last forever..
A German sponsor.
I don't use hello fresh but when I did their meals were actually really good surprisingly. You can always keep the recipes to make on ur own
@@mentalpasient6823why
I'm interested in HelloFresh, but I keep hearing that it is very salty. Is there options for people who wants tasty meals that are not salty?
Whoever made a precision, dark, clear condition troll level is a psychopath. It felt personal and mean 😂
You missing low gravity and upside down
That was a genius level. Evil genius!
Fire flower check was diabolical
Things to fix in MM3: No dark levels (or make it so you can still faintly see), upside-down levels, hidden blocks (or again option of making them faintly visible). Want: quick restarts, 100 mario challenge and Wonder stuff. Shut up and take my money!
I like a glasses power up to see invisible blocks.
Mario Maker 3 will allow dark car levels, a thing of beauty.
And a mode where all your controls are random and button inputs are randomized!
Don't give them ideas
I like how they build the level around a cool gadget that provides intermittent light, but then just make everything super blind regardless 😶
"What is the opposite of Hello, Fresh?"
Answer: "Goodbye, Garbage"
No, it would be
Goodbye, spoiled
@@__The_Real_V__i thought:
goodbye, rotten
Wafflehouse
You need to swap the words as well for a true opposite:
Garbage Goodbye
Spoiled Goodbye
Rotten Goodbye
Just came down here to make that exact comment lol
10:37 how did you know there was a key there? Did I miss something?
There’s an unofficial level viewer now. Thats what I’m assuming he used
Probably an online viewer OR he asked the guy that sent him the level (I don't think Ryu would just happen to pick a random garbage level with only 55 tries and 0 clears)
I do like that you're doing your part in helping with Team 0's inevitable future endeavor of clearing all of SM2's uncleared levels.
That level is just somebody going “I’m gonna make the most annoying unbeatable level in the game. Nobody will ever clear it!”
Everyone who makes levels you can only beat with the hidden dev exit has the exact same thought
That "Thunder! Lightning!" level's actually pretty dope. I really like how the shimmering effect gimmick is used - until now, I don’t think Ibe ever seen it used in a way that wasn’t totally obnoxious
That sheild block at 35:15 was straight up masterful. I thought he was just going to let the bowser fire smack him.
1:48 “And we’re in the door, gezhe..weganawaba…”
Lol
The first level actually could've been cool if they didn't go out of their way to make it not
13:42 That was good Snake death scream impression attempt.
After all of these years I appreciate that he calls the fireballs by their proper name but he still calls Boos "ghosts"
That dark level so deceivingly hard lol
Worst part is zero check point.
The only good dark level I have ever seen was actually a troll level that was lit up so much you didn't know it was a dark level until it paid off a very specific troll where the wrong pipe appeared out of nowhere.
That was one of the two good ones I was thinking of, the other was a level based on FNAF I think which Carl played once years ago which looked pretty cool.
That first level reminds me of those freaking light switches we have in Poland that only turn the light on for 30 seconds and don't even allow you to get to the 3rd floor, and it always goes dark in the worst possible moment.
7:31 Most dark levels are bad, but there are some good ones that wouldn't work well without the darkness
Like i always say on this kind of bullcrap levels. Every invisible block the maker hit during the upload run should be outlined for everyone else who plays it.
What's up with the sudden finding of the hidden key? A bit of build up would be nice, or a comment that you are gonna check the level editor.
You say, "Tears of pain and anguish" SMM2 creators hear, "Tiers of pain and anguish" and try to top the next level
how on earth did ryu find that hidden key?? 😮
Level viewer most likely
@@PMikeWarrior💯!!!
level editor
Id hate to accuse Ryu of cheating but that jump cut to just randomly finding the key did him no favors. At the same time I also don't blame him
@@roysparkizay i thought this is mm2? it doesn't have a level editor afaik
I think a bigger issue is the lack of being able to add checkpoints to levels with clear conditions
It is my opinion that, should Nintendo make a Mario Maker 3, then the following rules need to be added to levels that have keys in hidden blocks:
1) The number of locked doors in the level will automatically be displayed when you pause the game.
2) The number of locked doors the level creator went through in the start-to-finish run will be displayed in the pause menu as well (no need for the checkpoint runs).
3) Any blocks that contain hidden keys will have an outline that is visible to the player.
4) While not entirely necessary, I think being able to see how many keys a level has would be nice too. Some creators add & hide extras to bypass challenges.
Keep in mind, this is for levels that have keys in hidden blocks. Otherwise, I'd keep things as they are.
Also, the opposite of Hello Fresh is Goodbye Poo.
What I want to know is, where's all the dark level kaizo speedruns? Where's all the upside down kaizo speedruns?
I think it's safe to say that in his Mario Maker career, Ryu has come across more psychopaths that Sherlock Holmes.
Ryu hasn’t heard of the legendary and famous Thunder Lightning tech? Where you attach the flash effect to a large buzzy shell on top of Thwomps? And this guy calls himself an expert!
“How bad could it be?”
Every time I hear that, I get flashbacks to a movie called The Lorax.
I think the laughing ghosts really make you want to tell the ghosts to go fuck off. Lol.
That was an evil genius level designer. Dark, hidden key you aren't aware of (not sure how you even found out it was there? Level editor? and a bs real key and technical skill based. Sheesh, that's a gauntlet and a half.
there’s actually a website which provides exactly what is in any level if you enter the id. good for finding hidden dev pathes and such
Great idea for the first level! Ryu hates darkness, but i have so much fun with his pain, so all's good xD
How did he find the hidden key?
Online level viewer
12:37 - This level creator is diabolical 😈👹
I wish there was a compilation of hardest levels Ryu has played but just the winning runs. It could be a series
Hello fresh?
Goodbye spoiled!
Mario Maker 1 evil levels were just random and chaotic. In Mario Maker 2 evil levels have be raised to an art form.
that key in the "?" blocks... it's incredible you found it in the last column
Omg that was so clutch on bowser! Was so sad to see those ice blocks
17:00 okay something is WRONG is this maker. It's either a psycho OR some fool who fancy themselves masterclass, but their only skill is hard.
The next level THAT was masterclass.
I legit thought the answer to "You know what I really like about this level?" was going to be "Yeah, I don't know either."
That Thunder Lightning level was kind of cool though, you have to admit.
That Thunderstruck level was pretty cool!
The level of darkness...he took the devil's pitchfork from it when he made it.
Nintendo was like ‘what if Mario was like a Saw movie?’
Ryu, I think the opposite of Hello Fresh is "Hello, stress".
"How bad could it be? Seems pretty easy if you ask me." 3 seconds later "Oh god." 😆
17:00 that was devastating
That first level was goodbye rotten for sure
This is where my brain went.
I enjoy dark level because it's entertaining to watch creator suffer playing them 😂😂
First, daaaaamn those dodges at 16:05 were cluuutch!
Second... DID HE FINISH THE CAR LEVEL?! DID HE GO BACK TO IT?! I've only seen the first part
I would like the dark part of the level to be an option though. Like you can turn it on or off.
He didn't even notice that someone else beat that flying squirrel level with the dev block while he was playing it lol
Something tells me that level was only uncleared because it was new.
Also in terms of dark levels nah I say keep them, it's fun to watch content of the bad levels, and it does allow for some good levels too. For example without that mechanic you can't really remake Chapter 7-2 of Super Paper Mario. Though a good compromise would be showing all ground just at much lower opacity, so the darkness still has an effect but it doesn't make things totally blind, turning even some well-intentioned levels into hot garbage.
This video was amazing. I think the insane, hot garbage levels are where you shine the most. Ryu vs Dashie, that stupid counting coins puzzle level from back in the day...incredible.
Also, If you wanna make someone play your stupid dark level, Nintendo should make you design the level entirely in darkness too.
the opposite of Hello Fresh is GG = Goodbye Garbage!
Why did he forget to say "let's get back to it" after the ad?! It's so iconic xD
5:28 GoodbyeSpoiled
Every order is a spoiled fruit or vegetable.
I actually like dark levels as they promote skilled gameplay, memorization, and discovery and advancement through iterative learning.
As someone who has never played Mario and only watches you play it, I do not agree. Dark levels are entertaining as hell. It's just really amusing when there's a game element that can make even an expert speedrunner play like a newb.
I agree but it has to be done right. Bad level design is just bad level design, regardless of darkness or not
How did he know the hidden key was there?
6:27 - Bye Rotten?
As for whether dark levels were a mistake or not, well, I can see the challenge factor in them. I think instead of pure black, it should just be really dark colors so the player can have half a chance. But I wouldn't miss them if they were taken out anyway.
5:29
Goodbye rancid?
You should make a custom ryu-made 100 man run with either super expert levels or uncleared expert!
If you spliced in the footage from MM1, you could make a template to keep the 100 man runs in MM2!
That dark level did not need a clear condition, it had way too many spikes, way too little like (though i liked the gimmick it had), And did not need a "powerup check" at the end.
16:45 I said the same thing at the same time. This level is wild.
The fact that he even found that key was ridiculous. Imagine searching through that level for a hidden block? I salute u sir!
I think we still have PTSD from the car level , haha
Dark levels can be done right, but you can't mix them with precision levels.
That 5 nights of freddy's level is great And it's a dark level. I saw carl play a shooter underwater balloon, dark level and it was amazing
The first level would frustrate me into a rage quit your patience is truly commendable at times man I dunno what else to say
The trauma from the first level is real
This brings me back memories from the uncleared expert level series
This level creator is an absolute *DIABOLICAL* monster!
This level feels designed to catch you with the most unexpected and painful losses at every. Single. Step
They Just have to include an easy Mode that does Not count towards clearing a Level. Disabling dark, outline hidden blocks and Shows in Realtime the solution from the creator. And it should be possible to enter with a restart of the Level.
The opposite of Hellofresh would be Smellyalaterrotten
Dark levels are so rare to be fun to play. It takes very certain level creators 💯
The 9 people who played that third level really didn't bother looking very hard for that hidden power-up at the end, minus the one guy who sniped the first clear before Ryu could finish it.
opposite of "hello fresh" would be "rotten goodbye"
That first level was some GoodbyeRotten...
I feel like upside down levels are worse than dark
That dark level looked so aggravating I don't know how you do it but I appreciate it.
Opposite of Hello Fresh: Goodbye Stale
Dang, a certain advertiser got a BOAT LOAD of extra, free promo with the constant references throughout the video!
Only a true monster could make a level like that first one.
The pain you go through for our enjoyment is truly astounding lol
I think dark levels would be better if they traced the level, keeping the enemies hidden in the dark but you be able to at least know the path
Dude I love dark levels. Specially in my favorite genre that is puzzle and trolls considering is very tough to make 🤩
Haha, I was nearly certain that wasn’t a dev key. I was waiting for the realisation.
"this part sucks" he meant the entire level lol
Thunderstruck was pretty cool
The contrast from a level that was painful for the sake of pain and the thunder lighning levellmao
Ryu teasing us by mentioning the car level
New personal record in catching a Ryu drop 🎉
Worlds ending and we never got to see the car level beaten....
Every dark level deserves a Boo. Change my mind.
I love when Ryu says, "You know what i really like about this level?" I know the answer is gonna be some bull$hit. 😂😂😂
The “Boo” button is the best thing about SMM2
this level was a freaking rollercoaster lol
Happy Holidays
Mario maker 1 just hit different then mario maker 2 did.
7:24 - Frankly Ryu; this “DARK LEVEL” is better then “MOST” the creator at lest gives you “MORE LIGHT” than just
“THE CIRCLE” around “MARIO”….. with the “POW’S…. Be thankful….
9:30 - 10:09 - The level of “TO ME” was fine until this “PITCH BLACK” spike pit…..
🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
17:00 - This guy is “STRAIGHT” up a “TENGU”…..
Jesus Christ…..
25:21 - SMB 1 is best Mario game….
