Holy sh*t! My 97 had CC all along and didn’t know it! Hey do y’all’s CC buttons light up at night? All I see is the solid green at night. Makes it hard to use the cruise.. at least until I get used to using it blindly
I have a 97 12v 2500 and I never thought Of that Of course I need a new transmission right now or a rebuild on the current one I also run 38’s on my truck so Hopefully what you showed me works if it does that’ll be weight off my chest because long haul driving is a pain
Ok. I have owned my 1997 ram since 2000 when it had 42k. Since day 1 I thought the cruise control didn’t work. It is now late 2020 and I am seeing this video. I have not tried it. I am going to try, and I might cry if this works.
Awesome tip! I recently inherited my uncle's '96 and was convinced the CC was shot. After this vid I put 'er up on the expressway and to my thrill and surprise, CC works jusst fine! Thanks!

Thank you so much, I've been dying to figure out how to get my CC working. Thought it was just broken. Edit: so this method actually didn't work for me. I found a different way; What I have to do in my truck is press the Cruise Control On/Off button(it turns right on, don't have to hold it down for 3 seconds or anything extra like that. Should see the little green light in the second notch.) and all that does is toggle to cc function. To actually USE the cc, I have to press the "Set Coast" button (furthest to the right), and that's what actually triggers the cc to work. You can use the "Resume Acceleration" (Press and hold it down) button while you're in cruise control, and all that does is slowly increase the speed you want to cruise at. To slowly decrease the speed you're cruising at, you can press and hold "Set Coast"- doing that will not turn off the cruise control. You only turn it off by pressing gas or brake pedals, or by toggling it with the Cruise Control On/Off button. Just a bit of helpful info for anyone who is still having problems with it, try this instead ^
FYI, you can press and hold the "Set Coast" and "Resume Acceleration" buttons to decrease or increase the held cruising speed, but you can also tap them (press and release), and each press will lower or raise the maintained cruising speed by 1mph at a time.
You mentioned in this video you also had a video about the vaccum hoses? I subscribed and checked your videos but couldn't locate it. Do you have the name of the video or link? Please and thank you!

why would you think that? oh ... my bad. I should have included how I had to snip the ends off a tad bit. I did it so quick that I forgot to mention that. thanks brother.
Hello i had a question on the cruise control i also have 1997 cruise light flashes once when i push the activate button but does not stay on is their a fuse do you have any ideas :)? thanks
I have never checked that truck runs great just cruise not working was reading information on dodge forums they suggested taking the steering column cover off to see if their might be a pitched wire when you tilt steering wheel i guess that happen to someone else with same year truck ?

Do you know if the three pin one will work on the four pin cruise control switch my 95 is a four pin and I was wondering if the three pin will work
Good question. Just don’t have the answer. Anybody?
Didn’t work for me the light comes on right away but don’t work
I didn't have a problem until yesterday. Still won't work. I tried finding a fuse in two locations but don't see one. 🤔
Thanks for the info
I have tried all of this, with a new clock spring. Light comes, nothing works. Air bag light does go off. And horn doesn't work also.
I’m having the same issue as you.. did you ever find a solution?

But what does this work-around suggest is causing the problem?
Faulty designed switch. Not to mention old age

Please and thank you!
I've got a 95dodge ram 2500 turbo and it's running high in idle and when driving it will go up and down what's it the problem,?
I would first check all of your battery connections. And check all of your grounds.
Check for vacuum leaks
Thankxxxx !!! I thought it was broken 😭😂
I just drove 700 miles and if this is the reason it was not working I’m so annoyed lol.
Thanks, simple and to the point!
