@@GrimDarkNarrator no dramas. There’s a little passage in the o&g army book that says “ some savage ork tribes have attempted to make chariots as well, although their square-wheeled attempts have yet to replicate any of the bloody success that more “civilised” orks have achieved.
Was this little sentence that inspired me to Collect savage orks!

All and all, i think i prefer Thor's war goats. There is a limit to the absurdity and ignorance i am willing to put up with.
We had wolves long before we had horses. In some places dogs ,little different than wolves, still pull carts and sleigh's
Dogs have been known to be used in war , though not as mounts.
Boars! Pigs you mean! If this is a joke of Gw i fail to be amused. Pigs are so near sighted, they are virtually blind. They spot movement well enough, but that's about it.
Being forest animals sight would be of little use in the underbrush ,they habitually root for food in.
Now Tolkien and his Wolf and boar riders.
Tolkien knew what he was talking about ,as there are Norse traditions of Wolves with riders on them.
But even he made it clear, these were not natural animals. They were changed . Bred from feral stock for war alone.
Copying without true understanding, ought to be avoided. We are not all of us Uninformed Americans . Some of us do know a thing or two about wild animals and how and why Tolkien used them as symbols.
Make up your mind Gw, you are creating High Fantasy, or a Parody of it? If its parody, share the joke. If its high fantasy.. that's a whole other kettle of fish.
