i dont mean to be so offtopic but does anyone know of a tool to log back into an instagram account? I stupidly lost my password. I appreciate any help you can offer me!
You can cut the video at the exact frame that the click starts by zooming in all the way and using left/right arrow to scrub. The frame that hits highest on your meter is where you cut.
This breakdown was extremely helpful Andrew. I’ve been trying to figure each part of the process and this one nailed the post prod section. Thanks again!
My first thought when i saw your video pop up in the search results was: "Man, Andrew would know how to explain this mess to me..." And you totally did. Thank you man. That was really easy. Now I just need to figure out what kind of equipment you use for prerecording the tracks and we will be good to go.
How long does it take you to do your backing track? Guess you program the drums and record the bass, and then layer your guitars over that, and then 'play' along to that with your video?
I tried doing this with Windows Movie Maker... Needless to say it didn't work out - I had to manually drag every tiny clip to be in time, so it took a shitload of time and rearranging was impossible. Thanks for showing this feature in Adobe Premiere, looks easy enough. Pretty motivated to try it out now! :D
A summary of all the steps for learning Premiere Pro playthrough editing: Phase I: Collecting Step 1: Collect all video files and put them in the explorer/folder in the bottom left of the project. Step 2: Layer videos on top of each other. Audio will come with them in, but will be put as a separate asset. Phase II: Syncing Step 3: Use razor tool (c) to chop off beginning and end parts to make it clean. Step 4: Sync all videos together, preferably using their audio to line up the wave files. The videos will go with them. Just line up audio, and video will line up with them. (If needed, click the magnet button below the timer to disable “snap to” and line up audio more precisely. Step 5: Insert master .wav file at top or bottom. Step 6: Solo all audio files except the master. Line the waveforms of the master audio with the waveforms of the other muted audio files, which should already be at sync with themselves (step 4). Step 7: Play videos to makes sure each line up with master. Phase III: Ordering and editing Step 8: Select ALL VIDEO layers (audio will be selected with them, but won’t nest with them. Nest the videos, NOT the audio. Step 9: NEST videos together. Right click > Nest > Name and Ok. This will creat ONE layer that contains all VIDEO layers in it. Kind of like a Master Video. Step 10: NOTE: The nested sequence is NO LONGER attached to the separate audio tracks. Select all audio except the master wav file and delete them. Get them outta here. Step 11: To make cuts between the multiple videos, right click on the nested video sequence (which should still be in sync with the master audio if done right). Click: Multi-Camera > Enable. Step 12: Click the button “Toggle Multi-Camera View (Shift-0)” under the master video window. This will open a window that displays all camera angles that you can switch from by clicking or by using the numbers on your keyboard. Step 13: Click the red record button (“Multi-Camera Record”) under the master video window. This will record any key presses or clicks that switch the videos. Step 13a (optional): Drop rendering (found at bottom right under master video; it has a wrench symbol to its left) from “Full” to “1/4” to save your computer some work. Step 14: Press the play button. Click or press keys to switch between videos/camera angles as desired. Phase IV: Render and Export Step 15: File > Export > Render as media. Options and details for rendering are up to you and depend on what platform you upload on (eg. IG, TH-cam, Reddit, Facebook, etc.) Look up videos for customizing presets optimized for different upload locations
This is great! Thanks!!🤘👍 Just one question…I noticed your pre-recorded audio was actually 2 files. Are those Left and Right tracks or just duplicated tracks to create a fuller “stereo” sound? New subscriber here btw✌️
how are you adding the drums into the song? especially if I recorded a cover of say like metallica or something.... how would i go about about getting the drums from a certain song into what i record me playing?
Hey Andrew. How would one throw in a third, mini camera in the corner? I'm using this video to learn how to make a drum playthrough and I want to insert a double pedal camera.
Can someone help me out? I can’t find ANY help on getting the backing track audio sans guitar. How are you guys doing this? I’ve looked up several videos and they all show the camera Stuff. It’s creating the audio that I’m lost on
Render down the audio track from your DAW and throw it on the grid in your video editing program and sync it up to the video. The best thing to do is to play to a click track so you know when to sync it up to the video. And see it(the click before the song starts)on the wav file to better match it. OR just look at the wav files on the audio tracks from the song you rendered from your DAW and from the video file that was imported into the video editing program and match them up.
I thought you said your lighting was $6200 dollars instead of $60 to $100. 👀 I was like, “Holy sh*t! What is this dude’s idea of expensive if $6200 is cheap?!?” 😂
Not at all! You do you. Some people like doing it live, and others prefer being able to move around a bit and get more comfortable during the video section :)
To get it to sound really good. Most cameras don't record very good audio. Your computer and audio interface is better for recording audio. A secondary reason (although I don't know how much he does this) is that you can record 100 takes of audio and use the best parts, then relax when filming, because it's difficult for most viewers to spot to a minor mistake that is only occurring visually.
@@johnkk7863 Yes, miming to the audio some people may call cheating, but most music videos are done that way. If the music is improvised, then there's likely no miming. You have to record the audio and video at the same time for improvised sections of music.
That multi camera switching is SO smart and will help me so much in my future videos
Clicking the magnet button near the timeline turns off snapping to grid I think... that should let you sync up the audio from both video sources EZPZ.
This 4 year old video has more simple details then most new videos straight into thnx bro imma record some guitars later ❤
Love your shirt and this is super super helpful. Thanks fam.
Literally just needed this like a day ago, so thanks Andrew !
First step for beginners... learn how to play the guitar .. I need to do this step
How did it go? Did you learn?!
And buy a camera and lens
You got this
i dont mean to be so offtopic but does anyone know of a tool to log back into an instagram account?
I stupidly lost my password. I appreciate any help you can offer me!
@Arian Genesis Instablaster ;)
I know this video is 4 years old but you helped me out a ton man! Thank you.

Maaan this saved me sooo much time! Epic tip with recording keys presses. Wow. Thank you man;)
This breakdown was extremely helpful Andrew. I’ve been trying to figure each part of the process and this one nailed the post prod section. Thanks again!
I'm going to start doing my own guitar playthroughs and this was super helpful. Thanks Andrew!

Awesome vid. Are you playing Diamond eyes in the playthrough? Maybe you mentioned it but I skipped around to the parts I needed help with
Grat tip for multicamera - I have alwas did it manually - cutting different views it took me a lot of time :) this is great :D
Fabulous! Very informative and concise, thank you for taking the time to put this together!

Holy shit I'm so thankful for this! Thanks man! Also, subbed.
I’d like to see what you do for recording the audio for the video. That video should be next!
This is incredibly helpful and I agree with others, a video on mixing would really help, this is a great intro to premiere I appreciate it
Thank you 4 making this vid Baena. Love that guitar also! Pretty much all of the guitars I see on your channel are badass. 🤘
Next tutorial will be a video on how to fully mix a song lol
Awesome video. Thanks man
You got my subscription 👍......Very informative man !!!!! keep up the good work
Im about to do some videos like this and this was VERY helpful. Especially the multi camera record thing WOW thanks
How long does it take you to do your backing track? Guess you program the drums and record the bass, and then layer your guitars over that, and then 'play' along to that with your video?
Very insightful! Thank you!
Super helpful. Thank you.
That is a sick guitar Andrew. Awesome tutorial I found it extremely useful and will try some of your tip for my next video.
Dude. This is amazing. Thank you!
I just learned a cool thing... to delete the from of video just put the playhead in where you want then just hit Q and it ripple deletes front part
also on the end to cut it just put the playhead and hit W
I tried doing this with Windows Movie Maker... Needless to say it didn't work out - I had to manually drag every tiny clip to be in time, so it took a shitload of time and rearranging was impossible.

Great video ! Just what I needed . New sub here
Helpful af
Thanks dude!

Thank you so much for this vedieo ❤❤️.

Multicamera record great tip
thanks man
yeah but how do u mix / master the guitars and the backing track ?
Hey Andrew. How would one throw in a third, mini camera in the corner? I'm using this video to learn how to make a drum playthrough and I want to insert a double pedal camera.
from this video i learnd that less is more 😁
What render output are you using. I have been using H264 and choosing TH-cam and appropriate size?
Thanks for you video especially the camera nesting.
Best recommendations for camcorders?
What are you using to get the metornome for the beginning to match your audio?
Can someone help me out? I can’t find ANY help on getting the backing track audio sans guitar. How are you guys doing this? I’ve looked up several videos and they all show the camera Stuff. It’s creating the audio that I’m lost on
Nice instruction
did i miss something; how'd you get the audio combined with the videos?
You don't combine the audio with the video. Once you render it, it renders your whole project into a single video :)
how do u get the song to become a wav file?
So all the guitar parts are mimed ?
Great vid
How did you incorporate the backing track?
Render down the audio track from your DAW and throw it on the grid in your video editing program and sync it up to the video. The best thing to do is to play to a click track so you know when to sync it up to the video. And see it(the click before the song starts)on the wav file to better match it. Dude!! Serena is 🔥🔥🔥😎!!
Very helpful
Does this still hold true in 2024?
Can you please attach the link of the software
“I have a tripod obviously” .... okay Andy
Subbed off this video! Thank you. I will make plenty vids now
Can you share your PC configuration?
this is a very fucking helpful video!!!
I thought you said your lighting was $6200 dollars instead of $60 to $100. 👀 I was like, “Holy sh*t! What is this dude’s idea of expensive if $6200 is cheap?!?” 😂
Ha thats what i heard
Solid! Also, what camera do you use?
I thought playthrough videos were real performances 😅 Am I stupid for always making "live" videos?
Not at all! You do you. Some people like doing it live, and others prefer being able to move around a bit and get more comfortable during the video section :)
Deftones - Diamond Eyes😉
What camera do you use? Awesome vid mate, helped heaps
I use a Panasonic G7, but I wouldn't recommend it to be honest. The auto focus is awful
Whats the benefit of recording the audio separately, a day before?
To get it to sound really good. Most cameras don't record very good audio. Your computer and audio interface is better for recording audio. A secondary reason (although I don't know how much he does this) is that you can record 100 takes of audio and use the best parts, then relax when filming, because it's difficult for most viewers to spot to a minor mistake that is only occurring visually.

Noted
Deftones!
Does she play an instrument?
Nope haha, she wants to try to learn to play my ukelele though
Noice
so wait....you're not actually playing in your videos?....
Do you have instagram
So insightful! Thank you
