Nobody loves Great Adventure more than Colin.
That 1st turnaround is 100% smoother. It felt really good, even on the wheel seats
I expect all vlogs this season to have phenomenal editing🫡

We were on El Toro’s 3rd run, that you recorded! We rode a few times. It was running great, smooth turnaround. Thanks for a great vlog :)
@Goofball5225 11th row. 4th car, non-wheeled seat. I think on our second ride we rode 6th row (wheeled seat, last row second car) and even then I felt like the turnaround was smooth. We weren’t waiting for a first or last car ride that day 😂

I was there for my Birthday, and it was an amazing visit even with not everything going according to plan for the park. It was awesome getting first train of the season for El Toro and Medusa too!

The car shots seem mighty familiar to mine.. 😏 Good coverage. They need to straighten out that wristband process though.

They opened the Speedy Parking lanes around 10:40ish, but it was still a mess. The attendant was having to run between the four lanes to push the button to open the gate for those who weren't registered.
Awesome vlog! We went on Sunday and despite the crowds had a pretty good time! Got some great rides on Toro, Medusa, Nitro, and Zumanjaro (with double ride wristbands) The park looks fantastic, and Dream Street is beautiful! The operations were also really good when we went. Excited for the rest of the season!

Hey Colin great video! I actually think I passed by you when you were leaving Medusa! It was when you were saying it wasn't your favorite ride.
Great Adventure really seems to be doing well as a park and management really seems to care for this park and wants to make it the best it can be! I just wish my homepark, Magic Mountain, would get some love because it's still struggling in multiple areas just like it was when you finally got to visit it last year! Great vlog otherwise Colin!

Main Street market got a good refresh.
The carousel looks so amazing. Especially the poles around it.
The brick pathway is just perfect. Over time they will add peoples quotes on the bricks and more stuff around the area I’m sure.
The pathway from toro to Ka is very appreciated. I just hope they make it look more appealing over time.
Looney tunes live is something I wasn’t expecting but it’s very welcome. They haven’t had a board that shows when each character meets in a long time so I’m glad it’s back.
I saw a few repaints done around the park and new 50th merchandise.

@@ThrillsofColdplayIt was my first opening day. Aside from getting in, it was a nice day. Got on all the rides I wanted to, nice weather, and ending up getting White Castle because of the food lines spilling out of the buildings.
The opening day weather was pretty nice. About 62 degrees that day

Medusa ran smooth yesterday and I sat in the back row left seat no head banging but the stupid mid course slowing down too much
It's weird seeing your self in a vlog if I had known that was you filming I definitely would have stopped and said hi if you weren't to busy.

Great video, never been to this park, since I'm in Ohio, but would like to visit someday. Can't believe the park is open so early with it being so far up north.
The editing on this was next level! Really well assembled. Cant wait for some cinematic shots of the rides 😉😉. The park looks good, but they need to work on their operations, opening day was sloppy and disorganized. When you got more flags, we expect more fun Six Flags 🤨🧐.

I was at Six Flags today and can I say it was awesome I wrote El Toro and it’s good so good amazing I like writing it is the first ride when I rode for the season of 2024 and the rest of the day was good and then we got our 2024 bottles and they look good in my opinion and the rest of the day was fun and then the park closed and I had a good time
I saw you walking to get the shot of the new ka path while on line for a toro locker
I was at the park today and this is what I noticed
Everything was on 1 train again, especially JD and the GP did not like that.
Nitro operations squad were COOKING with one train all day (shoutout to them)
Skull and barnstormer were not open at all
When riding Medusa, the stage is gone and the seating area still remains, would be worth checking out as the season progresses
Still no flash supports yet, but a lot of flash track under Nitro. They have to be close to having all the track on site by now.
Houdini is harshly slept on and everyone should check it out…seriously.
Dream street is AMAZING!! No custom bricks yet, but hopefully soon.
Only major food locations were open and there were major lines because of it. Probably a staffing thing though.
Otherwise a successful trip, curious to see what else they add and change as the season progresses! Things are looking positive for sure!
2 months later and I figured I would respond.
As someone who works at SFGA, they told us that they were hoping to finish the ride by early summer! I’m not sure how true it is but it does look like they are close to finishing it!
I also noticed that the Houdini ride has a sign now that says they are closed and to visit the ride during fright fest, sooo 😬
I can’t wait for them to add a RMC hybrid or Intamin multi launch.

I showed up around 1230-1 or so and the Speedy parking was open but they had attendants there. I got confused and wasn't sure what was going on and then when I pulled up and was just going to hand the attendant my pass, she started to ask if I had speedy parking and while she was asking the gate rose up and she said "oh, I guess you do" so I don't know what was going on with speedy parking other than a mess
Yeah we have a lot of food staffing they schedule made a mistake with not putting a lot of people on the schedule and she realize that and it will be fixed for next week and a lot of the food people were not used to the new registers even the supervisor had no clue what they were doing. Messed up a lot of the day.
Would’ve been nice to ride El Toro yesterday but it was taking a long time and a little kid got a bloody nose as my dad and I as well as others were going to move up to get on the trains. That took an unnecessarily long time

Im confused. How did dream street look before this year? Ive never been but on Maps it looks like they still have the same path access
There was an ugly metal building just past the carousel blocking guests from walking straight through. You would either have to walk around through the boardwalk, blue tent, or the lakefront path. Now, that’s been completely opened up so you can walk straight through, just like how it was when the park first opened!
El Toro's smoothness is questionable to me, because the ride felt slower even later in the day. I need to hit it on a warm day at full speed to really appreciate any difference. My primary complaints are what double rides did to the non-pass holders (I'm a pass holder mind you), and the removal of the free-style coke machines. My primary appreciations are the new paths and EV charging stations.

Also new for this season in Justice League, the Joker animatronic got a brand new skin applied as well as its hair combed back to how it was when the ride opened in 2017. The park is really going all out for the 50th anniversary!
The speedy pass worked but it was confusing people, everyone was in wrong lanes but it worked and we got through. Not sure I love that they are now having preferred go straight and then left and riding the edges of the parking lot but I guess they want to pull alot of those cars out of the middle of the parking lot which creates a log jam at the gate.
Few negative things, having half coasters closed, running one train on things and then doing double ride promotion wasnt smart, all the lines were over an hour.
and then we come to the biggest issue, they had a whole new register system and nobody knew what they were doing. The guy said they werent trained, they were learning today. It took 2 1/2 hours just to eat two meals and a snack. The issue we had took 30 min to get our new drink bottle, the old guy didnt know what he was doing. he kept tell us we owed 40 dollars for two cups, then it was 20, 17 and then we had to pay tax. We told him no, we're legacy members with dining plan, they are getting rid of the old red member cup and its right here on the phone that we get to swap that out for a new orange 2024 cup. He kept telling us no, we have to pay, things change every year and we're like no we dont. Finally someone came along and got it fixed and then nobody could figure out to to do the meal plan for wings. They eventually just gave us them. Then we went to get pizza and had to wait 15 min at the window for the register to reboot. The guy said all new system, nothings working, it was bad but by end of the night seemed like things were going smooth.
I'm a bigger guy and on nitro I need one extra little push to get the last click to be good, I've riden it 1,000 times but the kid running it wouldnt do it, he just wouldnt give me one extra push to get it in and then wouldnt let my brother out of his seat to do it. I've never had to take walk of shame on Nitro. Good thing used skip the line cause if I waited an hour and had to leave that would have sucked.
On to the positives though the dream stream looks amazing, cant believe they didnt do that sooner, the pathway from toro to ka is great, overall had a good time.
also never see anyone who films at the parks but I did see your dad and your crew near mama floras bathrooms.

The skyway sign is gone and the whole thing is blocked off. I know it’s supposed to open according to the map but I’m starting to have second thoughts. Unless they’re refurbishing it then great but I’m not sure.
They’re working as hard as they can to keep Skyway operational, though it is proving to be a challenge
Collin what is the best row/seat on el toro because when I went on it the first time it really hurt my neck

Glad I didn’t come for opening weekend because Kingda Ka was suddenly not ready to open even after several weeks of advertising it on social media.
I believe there was a cable snap at least if the reports from a few people on Zumanjaro are true.

Does anyone know how priority parking works with the speedy parking?
I presume you mean preferred, when you go to speedy and stop, signal an employee and let them know that you have preferred. They’ll see your pass, then give you the slip

The park is working on the necessary maintenance required to get the Skyway operational again. They are hoping to have it open at some point this season
KA GL Superman and Runaway mine train arent state certfiled yet idk why the park didnt have half the park ready on opening day is beyond me this park is a mess
Staff members need to be trained for those attractions, in addition to the park planning on making more improvements

Things being slow to start off the year is nothing new. That happens every year. The parking issue was unique though. Also the double rides is something that I don’t think should return.

please make it clear that the new parking is such a mess, i know its the first weekend but the whole setup makes no sense
From what I was told, Speedy was fixed very soon after we went through. Supposedly more parking attendants and security guards have been put in place to assist with directions, and the park is working on more signage to make the routes more clear
The problem with my park is they do lack flat rides... Yes coasters few flats... Mediocre food overpriced I'm kinda disappointed
They have a decent amount of flats actually. They really got a lot of them in the 2010s
