That's what happens when you're too ahead of your time. He's kinda like Teddy Riley. Doing revolutionary shit as teenagers, bridging hip-hop and R&B SEAMLESSLY! Nobody was ready.
karateflix he’s HORRIBLE at interviewing! He kept interrupting his story ... he wouldn’t let him speak .... maybe I was just way more into hearing what JD had to say .... than TIP
I see why T.I. is who he is. This man does a damn good job at translating points being made in a conversation that don’t really have much clarity at first and then turn them into tangible complete thoughts.. Like what he was saying at the end of the video. Make sacrifices for whatever it is you want and if you’re serious and consistent with those sacrifices you kinda force the universe to give you what you’re asking for. Weather or not you seize the opportunity depends on if you’re someone who can see what’s not there! I love us creatives! We’re not crazy... just misunderstood!
Jd needs to do a docu series and put it on Netflix to really remind everybody all the songs and moments he’s been associated with...Or he won’t get the credit he deserves until he passes unfortunately
one of tips best interviews....he let JD just go. Think as a rapper, with some of the other artist, he competes conversation wise. In this case, JD paved the way directly for a Tip to blow....so his is humble and listening
😅 look I haaaate the"pause" thing but I must say even as a female reading "paved the way directly for a tip to blow" sounded craaazy when I read it 😭 I'm sorry
Wow I never knew Left Eye and Jermaine Dupri was that tight way before they got put on in the music industry and she help with the concept with Kriss Kross image and lyrics before everybody blew up that's an amazing story the original So So Def
I'm looking at the timer and im like FUCK I know this not the hold interview.. this shit had me happy😄 at one point, in tears😢 when they talked about left👀..an pissed off because I don't have JD minded set😠...I liked JD on Drink Champs but T.I is better at this job then Nore I have to say!
@LA Ryan He was too focus on the music. Makes me wonder if i stop thinking about pussy and put that focus somewhere more productive then where would i be. Be ups to jd
One of the biggest gems in this interview was hearing about JD's mindset. He was locked in when it came to investing his time, energy and money into his vision. PS: Eazy E made 80 thousand off of Kris Kross album sales. "8 million pennies= 80,000"
I respect this legend..many ppl need to watch this interview & get the message that's in it!!! Enjoy your passion, work hard & invest in yourself.."SUCCESS"
This is TI’s podcast!! He’s doing an excellent job of communicating with others. Obviously he relates!! I really enjoyed this podcast and others. Some people on here complaining need to respect him!!! #expediTIously
HE STILL HAD A HUSTLE!!! IT WAS HIS VISION!!! SAME THING DIFFERENT PRODUCT!!! THIS IS WHAT BELIEVING IN YOURSELF TURN INTO ,LEGENDS!!! HE'S A TRUE LEGEND!!!
To think that they spend a hr talking bout Silk x leather lefteye Kris Kross and didnt get to the rise of SoSo Def after he signed Xscape part 2 coming watch /JD is up there wit James Prince,Tony Draper and Master true legend indeed
Didn't even mention Bow Wow or Usher either. Between this interview & the other interview he had with Vlad I learned a lot about JD I had not the slightest clue about.
An active father is what a lot of people need to succeed and go far in life! JD is an example of that. TIP is also that for his children. I’m being the dame way with my children. 🙏🏾
I wish I could play this for my students. This is the type of drive you need to succeed today. However you have to find what your truly passionate about or else it’s not gonna work.
This is Gold. Another Bad Creation and Kris Kross were the first kid celebrities I was amazed by too. Silk, LaFace, OutKast, Goodie Mob, Monica, Jagged Edge, Usher, T.I., Jermaine Dupri, Ludacris, Jeezy, Lil Jon, Gucci Mane, Xscape, 112. Shoutout to Atlanta for so much of my favorite music coming outta there!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥💪🏽💪🏽

Mann this interview was one of the greatest powerful teaching and Nuggets that is soooo life changing... Thank you JD and TI!!!! I've been so impacted by this entire conversation "The Process of DEVELOPMENT for Success. WOW!!!!! AWESOME!!!!
I loved that group SxL! I remember I use to write that all over my school book cover. You know the brown paper bag that you cut, wrap and fold around your school issued book to protect it. Wow JD, I never knew he had anything to do with them.🤯
Amazing stories from JD. Kriss kross are legends and started that so so def train. Thanks to JD taking a chance on these boys. You all are legends. RIP Chris Kelly
TI another great interview!!! JD’s story was very interesting, i loved hearing about it straight from his mouth!!! You are on to something truly! You truly are a jack of all trades!
Wow kris kross was 3 Chrises lol never knew that! This was my era of fun party music. Every time I hear pump it up kris!, jump...I was dancing and bopping around. #legendary
This has to be the BEST podcast I’ve ever heard. Not only informational, but very entertaining. JD is an excellent interviewee with the right interviewer. I’ve seen JD do interviews before, but not like this... which is a credit to TI’s interviewing style... down to earth and engaging. Well done. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. We need the MOVIE ... “The JD Project”
JD’s a king of pop hip-hop, I’m not the most educated about him, but he’s got a good personality on track. One of my favorite times of my life was meeting Tip, if I may say, I was outside the club and no one really talked to me ever and I felt like an outsider, made me feel welcome. Kriss Kross should be on every kid’s iPod.
I'm a country ass cornbread fed white boy from Arkansas, I didnt know anything about this guy, and never heard his name but This interview in how he was so drivin is astounding and T.I. is amazing at getting the good details and not missing pivotal information of his road to success.. And btw I barely knew of T.I. as a artist until the Show he did on Netflix Rhythm and Flow and became fascinated in his life story...great podcast
This should have been happened there are alot of great people behind the scenes making people great in music and people love the sounds and wanna know we're they come from 💯

Can't be.
2 things..
1) T.I is really good at interviewing.
2) J.D has so much history.
Yes he is
He is in his element I love TI as an interviewer in commentator he is really good at this so
He doesn't listen to well, because the man has had to repeat things he already said previously to him! But surprisingly I like this!
karateflix he’s HORRIBLE at interviewing! He kept interrupting his story ... he wouldn’t let him speak .... maybe I was just way more into hearing what JD had to say .... than TIP
He has improved greatly since he 1st started.
JD is super underrated. He’s contributed a lot to hip hop and I feel like he doesn’t get his just due.
How is he underrated?
I see why T.I. is who he is. This man does a damn good job at translating points being made in a conversation that don’t really have much clarity at first and then turn them into tangible complete thoughts.. Like what he was saying at the end of the video. Weather or not you seize the opportunity depends on if you’re someone who can see what’s not there! I love us creatives! We’re not crazy... just misunderstood!

That last 2 minutes of the conversation were so profound and I agree with everything TI said!

Facts
Yup. good idea. Maybe he can pick the top 25 songs of his and go through the production process.
He had a SoSoDef documentary on WeTV
J.D is in the song writer Hall Of Fame they need to study him like T.I. is doing it's an interview but he's study him expeditiously.✌✊
one of tips best interviews....he let JD just go. Think as a rapper, with some of the other artist, he competes conversation wise. In this case, JD paved the way directly for a Tip to blow....so his is humble and listening
The interview that T.i. did with Tyler Perry was good too.
😅 look I haaaate the"pause" thing but I must say even as a female reading "paved the way directly for a tip to blow" sounded craaazy when I read it 😭 I'm sorry
