Dude 4 years later and youre still helpful!
Thanks for posting! This was a huge help when I was struggling to get my 64 working with a Zelda game
I guess Im randomly asking but does anyone know a way to get back into an Instagram account?
I was dumb lost my account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me
@Fisher Zavier instablaster =)
Removing the jumper pak sticker is a lot easier than cutting it with a knife
Yeah maybe. But I liked keeping sticker on it. Keeps it more retro.
@@HowToWithGEO Maybe you could Lift the sticker with a hair drier
Just buy a jumper pak removal tool
I had my butter knife ready and was about to attempt to remove the jumper pak and then said to myself that I better check online just to make sure it is okay to try getting it out with a butter knife.. You answered my question.
Thank you! I finally found an expansion pak in the local retro game store, came home with it and realized I had no idea how to actually use it.
Thank you so much! So helpful! We JUST got a Nintendo 64 via eBay & it traveled from Japan to Las Vegas, NV. Unit came with a jumper pack & ordered the expansion pack thing after seeing your video 🎉 we will be playing donkey king 64 soon 👍🏻
Now I know how to take out the jumper pack thanks for that
Thanks for uploading this, super helpful, more knives then i would have thought but super helpful
Love that old Commodore monitor. I have a 1942 Quadrasync for my A1200.
Thanks!, i was unsure about the "removing label of the original jumper pack"part.
Will the Nintendo 64 expansion pack work on my authentic Nintendo 64 usa console and for my dinosaur planet n64 game prototype?
The dinosaur planet n64 game prototype will only play if I get the Nintendo 64 expansion pack.
So I'm gonna get it on Thursday...
Thank you this video helped out a lot I just did not want to break anything.
Never stick a knife in your n64. Or any console.
You never said anything about sticking a knife in your throat
@@IcyLapis what the fuck
Just got one.The casing on mine seemed kinda loose. Like the security screws not tight. Anyone else seen that?
Can someone please let me know how do I fix the game quake when it says looking for a controller pack and it says try again every time I try to get it to save
4 years later just bought an everdrive hoping to play some romhacks and that Dino Planet prototype that leaked, found out pretty quick an expansion pak was required, now they’re anywhere from $50 to $80 on ebay, $99-150 on amazon
Very helpful. Thanks!
I have the dk64 set but that little piece doesn’t help removing it at all
Was this console a Japan version?
That thumbnail I had my Snes and then my N64 hooked up to my C64 monitor, back in the day
So I just bought a Nintendo 64 about 2 months ago it was working fine I finally got my game Mario Kart went to go try it out and nothing's happening is it because the expansion pack or did my system take a crap
Mario kart doesn’t require the Expansion pak, you sure it’s not just a defective cartridge?
The n64 I have has a booster pak. Is that the same as a jumper pak?
No it does nothing, well specifically it terminates the jumpers to allow the N64 to function normally, it's simply a space filler if you don't have an expansion pak. You can play all titles normally (minus DK64 that requires one) but you won't have any options of enhancements that some games require.
You can hear a high pitched whining sound in this video. I almost didn’t notice it at all.
habilis i had to watch it on low volume so it wouldnt hurt my ears but i still heard it
The CRT TVs always do that sound that's what we hear in the video
I had to stop watching it’s too much, high pass filter takes 15 seconds to add
Satisfying Video
I just got ahold of the same cartridge and I'm about to play Majora's Mask for the first time!!
So, how is the game?
@@gospodin338 amazing would seriously reccomend!
@@aminoshift1158 I'm thinking of getting the japanese version with the expansion pak for about 15 dollars. So I'm gonna start learning japanese to enjoy the game.
@@gospodin338 how is your Japanese going 9 months later man?
@@shininggodmsbeyblader8284 not that bad really, had given up at one point but honestly find it fun learning over school break.
Also started to learn ir more from Vtubers
Longest explanation for this I’ve ever seen. What took you so long?
Thanks!
Thank you so much!!!!!
I'm trying to play Majora's mask and it keeps telling me to install expansion pack but I already did
Even after you put on the pak the game will inform you that you need a pak. But it should play......?
@@HowToWithGEO I bought a new expansion pack and it works now I don't no why the old one stopped working
@@oatmealz6796 you got ripped off dude
That pack is just additional ram
it would feel weird removing the jumper pak
If with they’d do this with the portable market that would really do us some good I couldn’t imagine watching sponge bob on the gba with 240p with 7fps
For some reason, the thumbnail looks like it takes place in James old department from the classic AVGN episodes
when taking out the jumper pak it jumped out, hope it is still working when i get everything done..
My emulator has no expansion pack
What are those tvs ?
Commodore 64 TVs.
commodore 64 gaming system monitors its a really old system
@@kangaroorat100 bute the 64 isn't?
Price trippled since this😂😂
Better with upgradable up to 8MB RAM than the PS1.

wow mint sticker
Thank you!!
Thank you, now I can finally play Dk64.
ooh ooh ah ah
I just got majora’s mask today I put it in my Nintendo 64 turned it on then install pak
Oh, this reminds me! So easy! Thanks for the video! I'm also not concerned about it! Thanks!
The high pitched noise is kinda painful...
They’re called Cartridges.. not disks..
A ten minute video for a 20 second replacement. Way to much talking
John Allen fast forward goofball
Always wondered why they just didn't build it with 8 gigs of ram from the get go. Such a Sega thing to do. Ha
I've never seen this before even tho I have done this in the past 🤫srrr.
These are now going for $60
hello
Hey man, next time you make a video with this stuff maybe consider throwing a high-pass filter over the audio. I had to click off your video because the high-pitched noise of the devices was overpowering and really irritating
Way to much talking
