I just love this game, I think it's my favorite RPG... It has an awesome feeling, as you know you are heavily underpowered against the unknown, and still, the fight goes on. Really prefer the feeling of the first scenarios without any organization at all, just having a team of people and fighting the forces of darkness, not for the good of any of us, but for humanity's sake.
Thanks for the post. I have many of the older Hunter books and have yet to put them to use. It's good to hear of the parallels or lack there of between the two.
Hunter the Vigil is my favorite WoD game and my favorite RPG. All of my Hunter games I have run have been very successful and fun. I have the Witch Finders, Night Stalkers, and Spirit Slayers expansion books for my games and I use all of them for different ideas and concepts. I love the customization of this game.
Hunter the Vigil is one of my new favorites for nWoD too. I think extraterrestrials would probably go really well with this too. Especially with groups like Cheiron or Task Force Valkyrie.
to the 1 year ago bronzebullballs, its not that the hunters want to keep up the masquerade its just that the vamps are so high up and got so much power that they kill anyone that tries to break the masquerade and descredites any real proof, and covers up any major incident.
I always had a hard time running vampire games in this modern setting...it just seems completely unfathomable to me that vampires and other creatures could even escape our knowing with cell phones, the internet... someone, somewhere would discover them. I prefer running games in earlier setting because it just makes more sense..and you can be more liberal with the powers and disciplines. I think the Dark Ages setting is the best.

This is what I'd use to run a horror movie series of games. Bring in Slasher and you can take on Freddy and Jigsaw and even Chucky.
Can someone explain how the professional training merit works? I am having trouble understanding it.
I suppose that's a fair point. My take on it is that hunters want to avoid a mass-panic
i love this game, thanks for the review kurt, finally we had some non savage world stuff!
Figured you'll like this line. Very Cult of Cathulu.
Freddy; Alright gang, let’s see who this Ghost realy is!!
Gang: Kurt Wiegel!?!?
Of all the games Kurt mentioned here, he forgot Promethean. Of course everybody does... (Oh and Geist!)
@Nolinquisitor No- I love TORCHWOOD. Have from the start. Jack is on of the most interesting SciFi heroes I've ever seen.
Please do a review of mage the awakening i want to hear your opinions.

That's what Network Zero is doing.
And what about of the inquisición? The Society of leopold?
Seems like a rather cool game. I'd give it a try - if my group would be able to read english only...
could you please reveiw the world of war craft tabletop rpg?
@Orklord90 Teir-3 conspiracy; "The Reckoning".
Every game was better, especially Changeling: The Lost.
