Why? Do you think something might come up in conversation?? 😇 To be fair... this was the second take I did on recording the review. I made the mistake of doing the first one as I was going through the mountains to get out to the area I'm in here. I thought that being in that moment going through the mountains might have projected a less favorable take on how I felt about the bike. 😂
My favorite reviews are the ones that reflect the honest opinions of the reviewer about the bike, so this was a great one. I do think Harley tunes the Softails differently, I remember being bored on my Heritage after a while and I never felt that on my current bike. I am am glad you were able to ride around in South Africa in style, welcome back!
They definitely tune those bikes differently. I remember riding your Heritage and my Fat Bob. Both 114's but each with it's own personality when it came to power and zip. The 114 would not have fixed the bag issue (lol) but I do think that a 114, properly tuned, in the Sport Glide would have made a huge difference in my experience.
When I bought my first Soft tail the sport glide was on my list. Ended up going Fatbob (how I found your channel in fact). Now I'm on an Lowrider ST. Been following your stuff since you were putting upgrades on your Fatty. Keep it up and keep having fun!
Thanks for hanging around!! I can only imagine the fun I would have had with your bike, ripping through those mountain passes and curvy coastal roads. Still miss the hell out of my Fat Bob. Do you feel that the LRST was a massive improvement over your Fat Bob from a performance standpoint? I mean, normalizing the 117 against the 114 obviously.
@withPercy Actually my Fatty was only with the 107. But I LOVED it. It was missing things that the ST came with however. I would say power wise the 117 has more but not worth much more $$. The Fatty felt more like a brute, the ST is more sophisticated.
This review is sure making me glad I have the fat bob. Even though the adv cases are kind of ugly on it, I'm turning it into quite a fun bike for light touring.
Hoollyy crap! 😂😂 Has anyone checked on Brittney and Dustin since this dropped?? Solid review, ill try not to let it give me an inferiority complex because of my stock 107 😅
I'll be looking forward to the Podcast that follows this video review. I'm glad your had a great trip and are back home again

@@withPercy that’s mighty kind of you 😂 I like your honesty. It is a fair review imo

You had to lift it because there is a problem with the hinges. Never had to lift my bags.
