  • Interested in a Harley Davidson Sport Glide review? In this video, I take you on a test ride of the all new 2022 Harley Davidson Sport Glide and give my honest opinion of it, coming from a non-Harley rider.
    This is pretty much my first time on a Harley. Well.. 2nd time actually, but first time it doesn't really count, as I didn't enjoy it. LOL :)

    Just purchased one, ex demonstrator on a 24 plate and got a great deal which I could not resist 😊, picking up in a couple of weeks just waiting for a couple of extras to be done.

    Had my new Sport Glide delivered 3 weeks ago and i am very impressed, and sacrificed my Ducati sports bike for the glide and i don't regret my decision to change. Great review.

      Thats great to hear. So far this is still my top choice for my next bike.

    Gotta love the bike, finding neutral is much easier if you do it in motion before you come to a standstil.

    This video has just made my mind to buy a Sports Glide. I really spent many hours on what to buy as a first bike after Vespa GTS300 and I made my decision. Thanks for the great video and review. Greetings from Izmir.

    It has a usb port. You can connect a mobile and use google maps, radio and other music apps and Bluetooth to your helmet (eg Sena). So you don’t spend money on electronics and screens that quickly go out of date and age the bike. I find that Google maps is so much better than other proprietary navigation software which isn’t updated as frequently. I wouldn’t want all the tech that comes with modern bikes….which is why I went with the Sport Glide.

    I considered getting a Sport Glide a couple of years back, but the dealership took too long to get back in touch with me so I got another Moto Guzzi instead. They are good looking bikes though.

      @@TheBikeFather Look for a good used one at the right price. The Sport Glide is one of the best value Harley Davidsons, it's got some good features that come standard (eg cruise control, remote rear suspension adjustment, 'covertible' between tourer & naked bike in seconds with the quick removable panniers and mini faring). I really wish I had bought one back in 2020 before the prices went crazy. The 107 engine can be upgraded to a stage 2 fairly affordably, which brings it up to equal or better than stock 114 performance. The Sport Glide is a model that I hope HD don't discontinue.

    • @TheBikeFather
      @TheBikeFather  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Jonathan-L Thanks. It's one of their best sellers in Europe, so I don't think they will discontinue it, as long as it sells.

    Hello,
    I know the area quite well, very busy but nice..... I just hope everybody was fine after the accident...The sport glide (I hav a 2021 in the same colour...) is a great bike, full stop. Expensive? Yes, but not as many would suspect, especially because harleys hold their value.... Finding neutral used to be harder, after the first service (1000 miles...) it gets much easier. I guess harleys still need to break in.... The guys at Sycamore have always been nice, great place to buy a bike!!!!

      @TheBikeFather  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. I really enjoyed it. Grey colour is my favourite out of all the options. I’m hoping they’ll upgrade the engine for the 2023 model. Just to be in line with the other softails.

    How’s the on off throttle at low speeds and the suspension over bumps ?

    • @TheBikeFather

      Suspension is pretty good. Plus, it’s adjustable. Throttle is very responsive. Thanks for watching

      My Sport Glide was a bit jerky at low speeds in the beginning. I adapted my throttle arm I guess :)

    You mean to tell me in UK Harley Davidson is still making the 2022 Sport Glide?

    • @TheBikeFather
      @TheBikeFather  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes. I was chatting about this with the dealer the other day, because I know it was discontinued in the US. That won’t happen in UK/EU because is one of their best sellers, so as long as it continues to sell, they will keep producing it.

    • @hywelblake3707

      @@TheBikeFather I like the smaller fairing since I enjoy visibility and air on the helmet. The air is not coming on my body, but starting at arm lenght and helmet. I enjoy it as it is. Though I hope to get a Road King Special in a year or two. Same there, no fairing. Love it. 😂😅👍

    Hello from France ! ( as always)
    I discovered this vlog,
    and the comment I wrote on the other vlog " first impressions after stage 2", will be more accurate here !! of course,
    So here is the copy :
    Thanks a lot for this simply but brilliant vids !
    I love your way to explain, the way you film,
    I have the impress to seat back on the saddle !
    I 'm looking for an Harley, and I fall in love for the " Sport glide", but...
    It'll be my first bike after 20 years stop riding, and ... I'm little afraid not handling in confidence such heavy bike ( 650 Lbs / 317 kg), and worst, to let it falling down ! And, I'm not very tall ( 5"4)
    Do you think it's doable, to ride this bike for me ?
    Congrats for your work
    Have a nice day,
    John Christopher

    • @TheBikeFather
      @TheBikeFather  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks. It is a heavy bike indeed, however 1) it’s very low so depending how tall you are, you can actually put both feet on the ground, so that’s provides more stability and confidence and 2) the Center or gravity is very low which means when you’re riding the bike feels very nimble, it doesn’t feel heavy. I love it, highly recommend.

      I traded heritage in on th SG. The panniers on the heritage aren't nearly as good as the Sport Glide but the screen is better than the micro fairi g.
