Hey creatives! Wow, apparently time went by pretty fast - already December 2023?! 🤔 I did not realize that, even though I edited it like 20 times 😅 obviously we're setting up my December spreads for 2022 😅🤦🏻♀️ Anyway, how do you feel about Christmas? Do you have any special and favourite traditions? Let me know 🤗 Anyway -
This is lovely! My Christmas traditions have changed a lot in the last few years as my kids are older now, but we always make some time to have a nice dinner with my parents who live nearby ❤️
I really love how the Setup turned ou. I really don't think that it looks chaotic at all. My Partner and i are still searching for our own tradition. But what is always happening is that my partner is cooking a really nice dinner for us. When i was a child we had something cold schäufele and potato Salat on Christmas Eve and we made music together and then we opened the presents and after that everyone would just relax and spent time with the presents. Our Christmas was always very relaxed.
Thank you so much, happy to hear that! 😊 I think relaxing christmas sounds the best! And also I believe it probably has to take some time, until traditions build, otherwise they won't be traditions, right? 🤔 but looking for one together sounds like a lovely thing to do ✨
We don’t have a ton of Christmas traditions aside from watching some favorite movies and my husband’s family usually come to visit. I really like your setup.
Hi there!🖐 I like your spread and your humor, very amusing! My traditons are a lot changed from when I was little, the tradition than was to go to church with the family, and play the role of a snowflake or shepherd in the Christmas musical. My grandparents came on first or second Christmas day and we eating a specific menu like a huzaren-salad and beef with stroganof- sauce. As a desert we always eat grutjes-pap , I dont know how I translate that to English 🤔. We also watching 8 mm movie's and dia's. ... now I'm in my 40's and having kid's in puberty age, we are going to " gourmetten" ( put your own meat and vegetables on a hot grill on the table) and we watch Christmas movie's ( polar Express, a Christmas Carol) and the second Christmas day we always eat at McDonalds 🤪 and stay in our comfy clothes all day! Greetings from the Netherlands 🖐🎄 and have a merry Christmas
Thanks so much! Happy to hear that 🤗 Some of that sounds familiar! My mom and I used to go to church on the 24th when I was little and on the 25th or 26th most of my family would come together. But that has changed as well - I guess time just changes things up... Gourmetten sounds pretty much like Raclette to me, but maybe I got it wrong 😅 And I also think, that just spending the days in comfy clothes and not do anything but eating and watching TV is the best part of Christmas time! 😅 I loved reading about your traditions - thanks for sharing! All the best to you and I wish you a lovely Christmas time 🤗✨
Hey Nele! Really loved the video and the spreads you made 😊 I am always impressed by scrap booking (themes) and how the creator makes it not too overcrowded! Also loved the talk about Christmas! I am not a fan of Christmas or other festives 🤷🏼♀️ but still I am going to do a Christmas theme in December 😂 but it‘s my first year bullet journaling, so I‘ve been doing the typical themes you see online mostly. We always eat ‘Chilly Rippchen’ which I don’t know why or where the recipe for it came to my family. It was just there when I grew up 😅 on the 26th we always make homemade pizza! And if I celebrate the New Year with my parents, then we normally eat Raclette. Nevertheless I love all the sweets and biscuits you find around Christmas! And I would go to the Christmas market one/two times, but not to drink ‘Glühwein’ but to eat/buy crêpe or roasted almonds 😋 May I ask how you liked your Scribble & Dot notebook? I‘ve been thinking to buy one for 2023 and could use a review to decide 😉
Hey Daniela, thanks so much! Sounds like a pretty good christmas to me 😉 Hope you enjoy the time (and your theme) anyway ☺️ I've been really enjoying the scribble & dot notebook. I try to put the most important things here: - pages are pretty white, the dots are extremely light, can be good or not. - the paper quality is alright, it is pretty smooth I would say, however, it does not work too well with watercolors or other paints, a little bit is alright though. For all kinds of markers (exept alcohol based) and fineliners it is thick enough. - a minus point is, that sometimes the dots don't line up on a double spread, not too often, but it was like that in my notebook a few times. - What I enjoyed probably most, is the cover, it's just beautiful and the material is amazing! The feeling of the notebook is just ... very nice :D So I really enjoyed using it, would probably buy it again and I would say, for that this price it is a very nice notebook with some small flaws. Hope that helps, if you have any other questions, let me know 😉
Lovely December setup. We don't really have special traditions in our family. We eat sausages and potato salad (for me in a vegetarian version) and then exchange gifts - that's basically it. I love the Adventszeit, though. I decorate my apartment at the end of November and love everything about it. P.S. I love your nail polish. What brand/colour is it?

Haha. You’re adorable - “messy” and all.
Just saw your January setup and had to check your other stuff out.
We watch Elf : )
I'm very happy to hear that! 🤗 Glad, you like my videos ☺️ I think I haven't watched elf 🤔 maybe next year 🤔🤔

@@nelesnotes it’s usually pretty fun. Thanks!
Our Christmas tradition is just the 4 of us, my husband, our son, our beautiful daughter in law and me.
Sounds beautiful! I hope you had a lovely Christmas! ✨

I'd rather have stationary than have money
Haha absolutely! Sounds like my life motto 😂

Oh yeah, we used to eat potato salad and sausages too 😅
The nail polish is from essence, the colour is "nude to know" I believe 😉
@@nelesnotes Thank you!
Same about the Christmas themes. So tired of he same old things. This year I went with ravens and dreary winter landscape.
Oh that sounds amazing, like a little bit more mysterious - I'd like that! ✨
Hey! nice colors! I did a pine needles and cones theme for my monthly theme. Check it out and let me know what you think 😁
Thanks 😉 it looks beautiful for sure 🤗
