Love him for asking all the normal follow up questions others don’t: so did you break up with her that day? How was the burger? What were her facial expressions
Harland is the only comedian in the world that I never see a negative comment about. Not in the Highway Comments or any pod he's a guest on, nothing but good things. Says alot about the guy, GUY! That's riaaght
My dad worked in child protective services. He has passed away but the few stories I heard still stick with me. Highlight people that do unbelievable things for society that never get the recognition they deserve.
“Am I the only guy that doesn’t give a f* where Waldo is?!” LOLOLOL 9 minutes in and I already know this is going to be a goooood ep.!! Ryan, you rock for always having the best guests and Harland is always sooo GD funny!!😂😂❤️🔥👏🏼
i listened to this last night at work by myself, outside in the dark and harlands story actually gave me the biggest jeepy creepys ive ever had, i was constantly looking around.
I had a similar story to harlens. I just got sober and started reading the bible. I had a necklace with isaiah 40:31 on it tucked under my shirt. I picked up a lady crossing the highway with a limp. I asked if she needed a ride and she said she was heading south so i took her as far south as I could until I had to head home and dropped her off. She kept rubbing my bible and said how she loved reading it when she was younger. When she was getting out of the car she thanked me for the ride and told me, those who hope in the lord will soar on wings like eagles. The same verse that was on my neck that she didn't even see. Wild.
I’ve got a few like that first story. When I was 22 I was sitting in my car around 1 am staring at my empty house that I just moved into that was at the end of a dead end street. I was drinking a beer, and I had decided after I finished my beer I was going to going inside and kill myself. As soon as I finished my drink I got out of the car and this car came charging down the street and parked and it was this lady who went to my church when I was a kid and I hadn’t seen her in over a decade. She said she didn’t know why she was here or how she found where I lived but she felt God told her to find me and take me to my parents house for the night. It’s was bizarre and I broke down. These are the days before people had cellphones and were connected like they are now. That night wasn’t the end of my troubles but for sure I felt looked after by something outside of myself when I really needed to.
2 hours after my grandma died my family saw an adult Cardinal with 4 babies sitting on my grandma's favorite tree (Grandma had 3 miscarriages and 1 stillborn) every time I think about it I still get chills down my spine.
I saw a Grey person just like Harland described. Public place middle of a nearly empty department store.. They didn't talk to me but made eye contact while he walked away. Same cold terrifying vibe. Now I wish I did talk to him!
Rocket Man came out on my birthday in 1997 and I've always said "There's Rocket Man" anytime I've recognized him wherever. I can't tell you how big the smile on my face got when you called him Rocket Man. Fantastic podcast.
I had a strong feeling my bf was cheating and I would ask the universe , “if he’s cheating just please let me know” I woke up one morning , and I just knew all this info suddenly. I knew passwords I didn’t know , I found emails and facebooks I didn’t know about . There was some voice in my head that just kept having me unravel his secrets for the next couple days . So bizarre and amazing . I will say i am not Christian or follow any religion . If I “pray” it’s to everything . I say “universe , gaia, atoms, particles, aliens, God, whoever is running this show, please….”
"We get in them lasagna layers bro!" ❤️❤️❤️❤️This podcast is amazing. thank you for shining a light in the dark during a time where everyone is a victim and duality rules most people's thoughts.
I met an angel once. I broke my leg in a car accident and was trapped for a few hours against the tree(had to be cut out with the jaws of life). This man in a white, work vehicle showed up after I sent my brother down the road from to call for help (no cell phone) and somehow he got into the back seat and held c-spine while talking to me and keeping me calm. Anyway, I get better and ask my brother who the guy was so I could thank him or send him a card or something and nobody else has seen him. Nobody knew what I was talking about. I believe that man was my guardian angel 😇
It's always a pleasure to see Harland on the Dew! Also, definitely get on Ryan's Patreon if you can. I've been on it for a couple of years, and it's amazing.
Just got done with the Highway. Back to Back Harland 👍and what a treat to hear him mixing it up with my favorite laugh in all of podcasting. Thanks Y'all
Happy Tooesdee y'all! I hope everyone is well. Shout-out to Ryan Sickler for saving my life this morning with your "Never trust a Blinker" advice your dad gave you as a kid. You've drilled it into all our heads over the years and this morning it paid off. THANK YOU! Honeydew be saving lives y'all! 💚
Absolute goosebumps! I was listening to this ep while walking my dog at midnight down around Ontario Place. I don’t even believe in ghosts but the delivery. Holy shit! Amazing ep!
Harland is one of the best improv story tellers EVER… even when Theo does it he is more obviously joking but it’s similar to Will Sasso. Sometimes he will reuse stuff but really it’s all made up and he doesn’t break character at all. No laughing or anything lol
He still has one of the funniest lines in a movie. In Something About Mary he’s telling Ben Stillers character some rambling story & suddenly goes “You’re fucking fired!” Lol
Harland at it again! good to see him making the rounds-- one of those types of personalities that I will absolutely listen / watch him being entertaingly hilarious in any comedic medium. Killin it Mr Sicklerr; grats again on getting those Crabfeast rights back, brotherrr!
What's up night pants family! I love you all and hope you have a Mary Christmas happy holiday happy Hanukkah or what ever you celebrate observe or not. Just know your loved and never need to suffer alone especially this time of year. Even if your not working the 12 steps a lot of groups run 24 hour meetings. They have food and snacks coffee of course. Reach out to someone. Remember to tell someone you live them today.
Harland has been killing it with his podcast it's hilarious. Love the guy *this episode was just as good as his first appearance, the life stories are so wild yet he's incredibly insightful. Thanks Ryan this was so good
Good podcast. My dad was 1st officer On the scene. Haunted him forever seeing them . The accident occured the night of the Oak Hills High School homecoming dance, October 21, 1972. The location of the accident was the intersection of Taylor and Rybolt roads in Green Township, Cincinnati, OH. A car carrying six Oak Hills students was westbound on Taylor Rd. when a vehicle heading southbound on Rybolt Rd. at a high rate of speed became airborne cresting a hill on Rybolt and landed virtually on top of the student's car. Five of the six occupants were killed. Their names: Deborah Lyn Eckert, Cindy Jane Kreuzman, Kim Marie Wullenweber, Alan Surnbrock and Linda Diane May. It should be noted that the driver and passenger of the "airborne" vehicle both survived the accident. Both were determined to be legally intoxicated, having purchased Alcoholic Beverages using illicit identification. The outcome of this incident led indirectly to the initiation of the use of Photo Identification on all Ohio driver's licenses. A memorial fountain was erected the following year in a courtyard at Oak Hills High School dedicated to the memory of the five accident victims.
Brought the original Scapula Guy shirt. Don't know if I need to wear it or frame it. I live 2 blocks from the Nightpants studio so maybe I need to wear it everyday incase I run into Ryan again. Ran into him while coaching my girls soccer team and he could not have been more gracious and nice. Keep up the great work Ryan. -Ryan
I like how Ryan says to Harland ok man, tell me a story. And that’s his way to say like ok man be funny. I bet I’m Harland’s head he’s like wtf man I just wanted to have a conversation and it will come out organically lol
Ryan’s delivery on that “How was the burger” line was perfect lolll
Love him for asking all the normal follow up questions others don’t: so did you break up with her that day? How was the burger? What were her facial expressions
Best line in podcast history..
That was great. These two together are magical magnets. Great funny dudes/story tellers.
"other than that Mrs Lincoln how was the play?" LOL
Sickler for the win with that line.
Thanks for having the best guest in the game back on your show
Yes!! Now I get to catch Sickler on Harland Highway.

20 minutes in and I’m still not sure if this story is a bit or not. Harland is a master!
He clearly just ate a burger with a heroin addict 😂
lol😂😂
It’s always a bit. Cinnamon swollen ankles. Fly, fly away. ..but everything comes from a truth., even if it isn’t.
i listened to this last night at work by myself, outside in the dark and harlands story actually gave me the biggest jeepy creepys ive ever had, i was constantly looking around.
So the Loch Ness “Monster” is a scaredy cat?
Maybe that's a sign you should be looking around more.
@@kathleenchapman3890 Situational awareness isn’t a bad thing.
That was so fun. I love hearing the real side of Harland.
Harland back on the Dew is the best Christmas gift you can ask for! Been watching his podcast since he was on here last!
If Josh Potter walked in and stood next to Harland after his Dead Woman Story, that'd have been hilarious.
Underrated comment
ahaha
he's only got the one though, but I appreciate the hustle on a Toos-dee
