- In this video I will show you step by step how I constructed and assembled my gingerbread house. This year I chose to make a gingerbread greenhouse because I have been dreaming of having a garden one day. I will show you from start to finish how I construct, cut, bake, assemble and decorate my gingerbread house. I used royal icing to make lace details, fondant for the plants and waffle cones for the trees. I give lots of tips and hacks on how to nail it every time, as well as an exciting new hack for the gingerbread house windows. Thanks for watching!

Everything I use to film:
While I am on the go, I film with my iPhone 11 Pro Max on the Dji Mobile Osmo 3. This allows me to get super smooth shots. I combine that with the either the Saramonic lavalier mic or Rhode mic and use a mount to attach it to the gimbal.

When I film at my apartment, I use my iPhone Pro Max as the main camera and my Canon 6D with the 24-105 f/4 lens for B-roll and photos. For the overhead shots, I use an overhead camera rig to mount my Canon 6D and connect a camera monitor so I can view the shot. And when my camera is set up on the ground, I use a quick release tripod. For lighting, I use the Neewer ring light and for audio, the Saramonic lavalier mic or Rhode mic (Linked Above).

To edit, I use DaVinci Resolve on my MSI GS 66 Stealth Gaming Computer. To store all of my footage, I use the SanDisk 1TB SSD Card.

My husband, who had never made a gingerbread house before, followed your directions, made this incredible greenhouse, created poinsettia plants for the inside together with the tree and added small twinkle lights for a charity event, He received the highest number of bids and it sold for almost $600.00 You did a superb job of breaking the tasks down and giving detailed directions. I have a video of how I made the gingerbread recipe for this house as well as my past creations is linked in the description of this video 😊 It has never failed me! Even with the walls being very thin and most of it cut out, I was never worried about it.
@@MadeByMily deal I will have a look into that! Was the dough firm? And was is spreading a lot?
It was firm and did not spread for me! I also give some helpful tips in the video to prevent these things. Like put the cut dough in the freezer for a few minutes before baking to insure that the edges stay crisp 🥰

Tip.. I use straight pins to hold up sides and roofing until the icing dries. Looks stunning….

Absolutely stunning. I just baked the gingerbread, will do the windows with my 10year old tonight. I thought I'd start early because if it took you 4 days it will take me a month 🤣 your dough recipe worked very well for me and the templates seemed daunting at first but I figured it out.
One thing I did do, though, because I'm not going to eat it was to laminate the templates with sticky tape (so I can use them again in case I mess up) and used a Stanley knife to cut the windows, it worked wonders!

The delicate fretwork on the top of the greenhouse is just the "icing" on the top to your creation. A wonderful decorative touch.

I promised to make a gingerbread house for my sister's church Xmas fundraiser. While scrolling for a design, I came across your video and I absolutely LOVE the idea of the greenhouse. At first glance, I figured that you used Isomalt for the windows but the gelatin sheets are an amazing idea and so much easier, not to mention I happend to have a lot of it. I am definitely going to give this a go. I can't wait to get at it.
