    With D class being chosen for commiting heinous crimes and most people in the Foundation being desensitized to the heinous crimes their job requires, its unsurprising the Saint Peter analogue judged most of them to descend. Their sample group has a clear bias.

    • @frankfurterberus
      @frankfurterberus 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +75

      To be fair, the number of D-class used by the foundation seems like it *far* outpaces the number of people who actually commit heinous crimes.

      funny that more foundation members descended than d-class personnel.

    • @KaiserAfini
      @KaiserAfini 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@thega.merdude The way they produce amnestics is by consigning people to spiritual and mental oblivion by Anantashesha. They continuously sacrifice infants to The Deer. They callously burn people alive to get answers from The Liar's Cradle. There are tons of examples that would condemn the actions the Foundation's staff take to preserve normalcy.

      Many D-class are just prisoners from very bad law systems, in most cannons. The Foundation doesn't do politics, just takes the prisoners, which includes oppresive regimes incarcerating on masse. So, it makes sense that most of D-class personnel would be political prisoners, members of oppressed minorities, and so on. Those are not bad people, some could in fact be way better people than the regular Foundation agents and researchers, without much effort. Just think of a political prisoner of North Korea being sent to a Foundation site, they could very well be a good person with high ethical standards. It's just that it is more attractive to read about violent criminals getting mauled by monsters, rather than those people.
      It is my personal headcannon that most of non-violent D-class probably do the less dangerous tasks (eating those infinte cakes, cleaning up, non-dangerous testing) while they throw the "bad ones" at the dangerous stuff. And monthly D-class termination is a myth, as it is impossible to sustain even if they would be willing to do it in the first place. Otherwise, the Foundation would be cruel and evil to a very stupid level.

    "Is it Sunday? Is Sunday a good idea?"

    Interesting concept, but definitely flawed in design. The machine seems to select people at random to be ‘judged’ according to unknown criteria based on brain scans. The unworthy gets yeeted downwards. I’d assume into the core to be instantly cremated but that’s never specified. The worthy are sent to a space station. This is supposed to be something akin to heaven but it sounds like they didn’t think things out completely. So basically either way you’re being teleported to your death. Fun!

      You've got quite the Journey ahead of you! It was so great when I had all the Videos of TheVolgun (and finding over time the few others out there who do this properly) to watch; such a wonderful rabbit hole to jump into!
      If you haven't already, I suggest you listen his Max Lombardi Videos (there's a Playlist with all of them). It's very early work, yet still to this day amongst the very best of the best Voice Acting he's ever done, and that's quite a high bar to reach!
      As always, the Lombardi Tales might not be your thing, and it's perfectly okay, as the SCP Foundation has such a broad range of styles and genres, cold and sterile to dumb, warm and fuzzy, with pure skin crawling body horror, weird & disturbing eldritch abominations, (noir) detective stories, amazing science-fiction, golden comedy, mind bending meta narratives with traveling in time, space, dimensions, parallel universes, dreams, global human consciousness network to high fantasy destinations full of Magic, with Mystery in almost every Article or Tale's DNA... That it's pretty difficult to find someone who can't find at least a few Stories to their taste!

    SCP Contra Intelligence Memo 777001. It was discovered that " mankind " and " humankind " are memetically, numerologically, gematrically, and genetically different lines and should not be referred to collectively as such in any future comm's. The need to overcome a global terminology misusage that is deeply engrained is being considered in depth. We are not all
    " humans " here.

    "rother" I've noticed this for a while now and hope to say this purely constructively. The American accent pronounces 'rather' as if the words Rat and Her were mashed together with the TH soft consonant. Your accent is freaking incredible. As and American, it's so cool to hear a non-American hit the metropolitan accent so closely without southernisms. Seriously, I mean this only constructively as it takes me out a little. Your work is incredible, keep it up!

      Yep! Exactly. Still, the amount of Research done well by this Article's Author is fantastic! Can't be perfect all the time! Luckily, a Reader who's registered to the SCP Wiki will inform the Author of this oversight in the Discussion Section of this Article and it will either be fixed by abandoning the 36h/day idea or making additional changes to the story as a result, like most Articles! It's really neat that we can go and dig back earlier Versions of the Articles, save for when they get removed (and Archived I believe? And also when SCP's, especially the earlier ones, are deemed offending to "modern" sensitivities, for good but usually for worse, leading to the disappearance of many great, even if very flawed, early SCP's that were integral to the Universe and its Signature Mythos).

    Looking at each component description this does sound like a attempted artificial accension for the worthy. Putting their current technology around something anomalous to force the accension to occur. But during one experiment to see if it can give the ones who die throughout the whole world a chance to ascend. It was to much and detonated. And then there was a revolt against them due to the blunt trauma found which there be plenty of reason for revenge against the radicals category of logic. But the survivors didn't realize their security systems sealed them in which later on the survivors wasted away trapped inside but as a last act of defiance may of destroyed the data on what it is to prevent a second attempt.
