71 is part of the Sundial restaurant. You have to take the glass elevators to 72 and there are stairs to go down to get to 71. don't know why they don't serve 71. However 72 is locked off on these elevators, but you can call them from 72. I think its because they want you to use the glass elevators.

I always request 4 PM checkout and always get it approved. If you’re an SPG member you get awesome perks such as mobile check in and at some hotels you can use your phone to open your room door.

You can request check-in as early as 7 AM and check-out as late as 4 PM at any SPG property such as Westin, Sheraton, W, Aloft, etc, based on availability. However, 9 times out of 10 this will work out for you.
