the finding nice space method is very genius

Not everyone's source material sounds like this from the jump. Your process is awesome. Thanks for the gems.

That MB bass sidechain was clean.

Sometimes the simplest is harder to handle correctly and you did a wonderful job. This track is pure fire, I hope to be able to listen to it soon. Thanks

Wondering if you’ve ever experimented with balancing kick and bass with a VU? Kick/s only metering at -3dB VU, kick & bass metering at 0dB VU. Mix all other elements around kick & bass.

Best part of all. Be intentional. Yes sir, full agreement. Cheers!

I can defiantly say the more processing the more you overthink things and when you have less, the sound you can achieve the same way engineers like you and industry ones.

This is such a good tutorial😎😎😎. Everyone can do something with this, at least I, for what my big thanks 🙏.

Thx for this! In Logic x I've been putting my "reverbs and delays' on their own VCA's (as agroup), letting me solo/mute/ride/automate freely.....quick and convenient. Cheers

Hi Nick, I tried several times to subscribe to the newsletter without success, the confirmation e-mail simply doesn't arrive into my inbox (or the spam box). Is there any other way I can subscribe? As always, thanks for such great content.

As for phase aligning live drums I did a test about 3 months ago of manual alignment using stereo correlation meter (I did 0.5ms steps up to +/-5 ms for each drum track until the phase was looking and sounding the best) vs Auto-Align 2 and I must say that Auto-align really sucks compared to manual alignment. The drums sound really fat the and the transients are sounding great in the manual alignment while in Auto-Align 2 version the transients are blurry (you can hear sort of doubler, flam effect even when choosing more proper values inside AA2 by hand) and drums sound brighter with more unncessary sub bass (which is also fluctuating weirdly, it's not stable and natural sounding). Auto-Align 2 can really mess up the drum sound. A lot of times it's even better to use just an old polarity switch method than Auto-Align 2 if you don't have time for a careful manual alignment to keep the drums sound more normal.
