I 1st saw them in the early '90s. They've been around a long time.Their live shows are legendary. They especially rock when they play on their home turf in Chapel Hill/Carrboro, NC
@@chrisvandenmeiracker2205 Oh as in a standard.... they don't clear that bar... 🐴 😂... up there, some where, breathing close to the same air...yes...but I should have compared them to Mac and Juice or Snake Oil Medicine Show....those two, they surpass. Mac and Juice was damn good tho, possibly more skilled. But I'd have to desire to go to a Southern Culture on the Skids bill, to fairly judge that. Never have. Which is why I didn't even compare them within like format. Which pits them against the likes of Tedeschi-Trucks or Wood Brothers, on and on, etc... Expounding on the old time/blue grass formula for a modern audience is where they excel. Which so happens to be where Old Crow excelled... which is why I gave the compliment of "skill and composition" in comparison to a band, which, brought in-their-20s crowds back to bluegrass, at a time, where, there was little to no option in the genre. It was an antique genre. Oh yeah, Birdcloud lol there we go.."they're right up there w Birdcloud, in terms of skill and composition."
Damn that was snarky...and a waste of time... Actually you caught me! I was just supporting a post for a band I'm just happy to see ppl still comment on... and set the most ambiguous comparison to the genre I could. Could call out! @chrisvandenmeiracker2205 cheers! 🥟
How have I missed this band until 2023! Damn the radio people , what great pickers

I've seen them live several times, and they always put on a GREAT show !!
They are very nice people and are usually approachable after the show.
I agree, after 2019 Brooklyn show both Rick and Mary came right out to merch table to talk to people, sign stuff and talk pic's
These are some of the most awesome, sweet and talented folks I know! Just regular people who love sharing their unique talents with us common folk.
Banana putting always puts a smile on my face
I saw they in 1996 and they were awesome
They threw pudding at us great times
Specifically banana puddin'👍😆
all that's missing is a bar and a dance floor... get out of your seats people!
Fun tune for my mind for a Friday morning😎
Such a fun show they put on!
SCOTS are so great live. good people too!
Love this song
They are nice folk and they're right up there w Old Crow in terms of skill and composition
That's a low bar to clear

Is that dwight shrute on drums? Whata jam!
A classic from S.C.O.T.S.! check out 8 piece box also.
Love me some SCOTS! Get your butts back to Skipper's!
I used to go to Tampa and catch them play there all the time! Unfortunately, Skippers has closed down
Naturally great.
awesome!
They really do have a thing about food, don't they?
Prob more Roy Orbison inspired than blue grass tho..still one of the few originalist on the guitar -rhythm section format
Who said they were bluegrass?? Not.
