Great video Peyton, very informative and useful. Also, I feel like we don't see you in pink too often but it's such a good colour on you. Have a great week xx
Question, I really want to become an MA as well. I’ve heard of places hiring, and training on site- while other places require a certification. What was your experience?
I would love to know this too. I'm looking into programs to fulfill my patient care hours and my main one I'm looking into is ma bc my mom was an MA for 20 years. but I just don't find it work it to go into a 2 year program plus the cost of it can be quite high when I'm only going to be doing this for max 2 years.
Hi there!! I am graduating from college this May with a biochem degree. I am interested in being a PA but I have NO PCE hours!!! Is there a way I can do this without a certification? Did you have to be certified to be an MA?? I am also really interested in nutrition, and I am currently considering a MS in holistic nutrition and practicing as a nutritionist for my PCE hours. Is this a terrible idea??? I need some help!!
hi!! i didn’t need certification to be an MA and it was such a great job and i was able to learn a ton. i am not familiar with nutritionist hours and would encourage you to reach out to schools you’re interested in to gain some insight. i hope that helps!💙
you can get into pa school with any major, as long as you complete the prereqs for the schools you are applying to! these vary, but most include general biology/chemistry with lab, statistics or calculus, anatomy/physiology, medical terminology, organic chemistry (at least 1), and possibly biochemistry. these vary a lot based on the individual schools, so you have to check on the specific program websites! most require a b or a c in the courses to meet the standards for a prereq
