Peace be to you! I'm a new subscriber. I have been a Physician Assistant for twenty years. I still can't get over how competitive PA school has become!😰 You give great advice for the personal statement!😊✍🏻👍🏾👨🏾⚕️
The problem of retaking classes is that you have to pay for that out of pocket and its not cheap. I just finished my BS and didn't get great scores but still passed. I can't afford to take them over again so I'm stuck with the grades that I have. I work in the medical field as a paramedic in the ER and been doing this for over 15yrs. I hope that my experience and age can really set me apart from those who don't have the experience that I have. I just have to work on my personal statement and see if I can get an interview for PA school.
Hey Johnny . Have you considered working for a company that offers tuition assistant or reimbursement. Hopefully that can help you get on the path. No matter how long it takes the time will still pass. It’s worth a try
@@Poraharae I work for a big name hospital that has it's own university and I still can't get in there. I don't know what to do because my GPA will never let me be accepted. I have to find another way. Thank you.
Mary Kate Caputo we have two videos now about our experience as MAs!! we talk about our journey to PA school in a few of our videos on the pre-PA playlist 💗 we def have more videos upcoming about this!
Hey Macy! Just came across your channel today and this video couldn't have been better timed since I'm starting to brainstorm how I want to write my personal statement in order to apply this cycle!! You and Nicole give such great advice for both personal life and healthcare related things and I just wanted to say keep it up! xo
Natalie K thanks so much Natalie! I hope this is super helpful for your writing!! Good luck this cycle!! I’m here to answer any questions you might have, as best I can! 💗
Shared this with my prePA friends about to apply this cycle! I agree with all of these tips so much. A lot of it overlaps with writing the personal statement for dental school
This is such an insightful video! I am finding it difficult to incorporate my theme throughout. How were you able to weave in the theme of dance when talking about your volunteer, clinical experiences, and overall throughout your personal statement?
I love your videos. Can you please make a video about book, or just let me know, which books do you suggest reading? I don't know, if anyone said that to you before, but your English is beautiful and so broad. Can you give me any ideas of what to maybe read and become more knowleadgable and increase my vocabulary?
Wow thats such a sweet comment! Thank you so much! My favorite novelist is Khaled Hosseini -- particularly Kite Runner & A Thousand Splendid Suns (really really sad though). I've made it a goal of mine to read as many literary classics as I can! Some of my favorites are A Catcher in the Rye, The Bell Jar, Great Expectations, A Farewell to Arms, & The Sun also Rises. A newer book that I read recently and loved is Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens !! Happy reading :)
@@TheTwentySomething Thank you very much for answering so quickly! You inspired me to read even more and I am hoping to improve my vocabulary. Thank you again! Can't wait for new videos from you, stay safe:)
Hi!! I wondering how you guys got your jobs working as medical assistants? Did you find the position online on websites like Indeed? Thanks for the helpful videos!
