Deserves the Oscar nod. It is incredibly easy to impersonate Elvis, it is the next thing to impossible to portray and embody Elvis. Elvis was one of a kind and Austin got so close in this movie that there were times I wasnf completely sure who I was looking at. Kudos to the entire team that put this awesome piece of cinematic artwork together. Bravo.
I can't understand why anyone would say that they would be unsure who they're looking at, Elvis or Austin Butler. It's easy - Elvis was about a million times better looking! I'm not knocking Austin Butler, but he looks nothing like Elvis. He got the moves right, I'll give him that.
I initially thought this was going to flop. I thought nobody can be Elvis but Elvis. He has one of the most iconic looks that nobody can ever duplicate. When I first saw Austin as Elvis, I was like "Cmon Man! This is not Elvis!". But when I finally got to see the movie, I swear I forgot what the real Elvis looked like. Austin did become Elvis. He nails him to perfection including his mannerisms and dance moves. We also need to credit a lot the director because without him, I do not think they could pull off this illusion. Its a combination of the lead actors commitment and the excellent story telling techniques of the director that made this possible
I've seen that preview at several movies and every time I thought it was one of the best trailers I've seen in years. Of course trailers are known to often be way better than the movie. That Wonder Woman 84 trailer looked phenomenal but I've been told the movie wasn't any good.
i have seen the movie now 2 times in a row.... at first you think that is not Elvis.... in less than 15 minutes you think oh my God....... what a movie.... Next year after 3 husbands who'm refusing getting in to a plaine, now i am going... on my own going to Graceland...... CAN'T WAIT......!!!!!

I was never a fan of Elvis, but the movie left me wanting to know more about Elvis' life. Austin Butler did an outstanding job and my mind was lost in trying to figure out whether I was watching the real Elvis! Award worthy on many levels!
Hi Ann, I'm a 86 year young senior and I never had an interest in Elvis. But a friend brought the movie over and well, I was really impressed with this young man's portrayal! I've been watching any YuTubes on Elvis I can find. An incredible story, an amazing talent, and young Austin was brilliant. Should get an Oscar.
There is a book over 300+ pages called The Best of Elvis: Reflections of a Great Humanitarian by Cindy Hazen & Mike Freeman, it tells the story. He Donated the funds to have ST Jude built so every child with Cancer gets free treatment - even today, He bought LBJ's presidential yacht and auctioned to fund ST Jude, He donated the money to complete The Kennedy Art & Music Center in memory of JFK and declined to be the first to play as the founding member because he didn't want to seem political, donated the funds for the USS Arizona in Hawaii to remember all the lives lost on DDay, ended the Polio Epidemic inspiring 86% of America's youth, He funded 500,000 European Refugees food, housing & relocation via Red Cross Donations. He funded an entire trauma wing at Midsouth memorial so 4 states had a Trauma one care, donated 300+ Cadillac alone, 300+ brick homes, thousands of funerals, chemo treatments, millions of individual gifts of Jewelry, clothes, instruments, animals, make a wish were at every concert, hospital visits, spent every night outside his home in Memphis, Beverly Hills & LA signing autographs, in 1950's he even let fans that came from out of town CAMP ON HIS LAWN IN TENTS, He bought his childhood home in Tupelo and built a childs recreation center for poor kids, He signed autographs and gave fans tours at all the movie studios, concerts for Cancer fundraising, hurricane & tornado relief every year from 1956-77, donated to the same 55 MAJOR charities since the year he signed his 1956 contract even now every year 45yrs after his death. He gave away 86% of his ENTIRE lifetime GROSS earnings! Never wrote one donation off on his taxes despite being in the 95% income bracket. Giving was his tithing for Jesus. He said the more he gave, the more God blessed him.
Maybe you should read " Destined to die young". Elvis had MAJOR health problems from birth. There is WAY more to that story. His mom, Grandma Doll & 6 of his 8 uncles all died in their 40's. He took perscriptions to deal with his Genetic health problems, his enlarged paralyzed colon, Glaucoma, Antitrypsin Deficiency, a condition which can result in lung and/or liver disease both of which he had severely at the time of his death. Elvis was never a smoker or drinker. He had Together with the immune system disorder, hypogammaglobulinemia, which plagued Elvis all his life and caused him to constantly fight various infections. His “inherited” weak heart, reactive arthritis, and the impact of his nocturnal lifestyle, resulting in a lack of vitamin D, the effects of which contributed to respiratory infections, reduced immune function, and inflammation. Of the 11 bodily systems that operate to keep us alive and hopefully healthy. Critically, Elvis suffered disease or disorder in nine of them! And five were present from birth and pre his fame. His heart (circulatory system), his lungs (respiratory system), and his bowels (digestive/excretory systems) required medication. Insomnia affected his nervous system……His immune system was compromised. His urinary system was not functioning properly. At one point there was even talk of dialysis. Often he is dismissed as just another rock ‘n’ roll drug addict. He wasn't taking street drugs. He was taking perscriptions not to "ESCAPE" h was taking them to try to maintain some sense of normalcy as himself in a time where the medical field was limited. No DNA, Genetics, No MRI's, little known about the addiction, his dystrophy & No understanding of Vitamin D even. Looking at the illnesses and disorders, that mounted upon each other over the decades, it’s no coincidence that Elvis’ prescription drug use increased as his health declined. From ear infections to chronic tonsilitis to recurrent flus to eye infections and glaucoma…..these arguably insignificant ailments independently, grew into something more. As his body broke down, alongside multiple immune system disorders and genetic complications, prescription medication and his handy PDR tried to fill the gaps. When that no longer worked, hospital stays became the norm and his list of ailments grew. The sicker he got, the more prescriptions he was prescribed. He was seeing a cardiologist before he bought Graceland. He was 20yrs old. They have gone through Elvis's entire life of medical records & now have an entire different story now. This is all the facts Geraldo & 20/20 never stated.
FYI Elvis didn't die like that, or throw in the towel on life. He went on to find the love of his life Linda Thompson. She eventually left because she wanted kids and Elvis wasn't ready.
Austin Butler did an excellent job portraying Elvis Presley the only Elvis movie that I could feel the real presence of Elvis himself. Great job! Well done Austin I have watched this movie 4 times already and I am not stopping there. Bravo.
Phenomenal portrayal of Elvis! To play someone in a movie is one thing, but to "become" that person in body, mind and emotion is incredible! Austin embodied everything about Elvis that made us love him and why we continue to love him. When people ask me why I love Elvis so much, I'll just tell them to watch this movie...it explains it perfectly. 🥰
YesI loved the movie!!!I never had a movie have the affect on me like that one did!! I cried at 5he end !!! Austin should get great recognition or an award he was that good !!!!❤
That wasn't a portrayal, I've seen a lot of portrayals of characters, and this right here wasn't just that. Austin Butler was Elvis, and will be the role that he will be remembered for for a long time.
@@ckmont1996 I agree. You know what is strange to me, is that we Elvis fans will complain or disagree about anything that's done on him. And I've not seen that with this movie and that is just wild to me.
Austin Butler was so great at playing Elvis Elvis' own family members said it was so close that they said he portrayed Elvis the best of anyone in any of the other Elvis movies I enjoyed this movie so much He had the voice the facial expressions and the dance moves DOWN COLD!!! HE DESERVED AN OSCAR
Austin absolutely did the role of Elvis justice. It felt a privilege to watch him fulfil his potential as an actor. He brought so much truth to the role, an absolute joy to watch.
I've seen the movie three times. First I was just amazed and wanted to see it again, the second time I felt very emotional and sad, and the third time just makes me want to keep watching (the real) Elvis on old footage. Austin did the best job, he's really honoured Elvis' memory :) 10 out of 10 from me!
I am glad I am not the only one having seen it more than once! I am a native Memphian and THIS IS AWESOME AND WILL GO SEE IT FOR THE 5th TIME THIS WEEK!!!
You bet he did Justice to Elvis ... he put 100 % in it ! I love this young man Austin Butler and hope he will continue carrying himself with Dignity and Integrity ... 💓
Harry Styles would have been the worst choice ever to play Elvis (and I'm a HUUUGE Harry Styles fan). Austin IS Elvis. At least the closest to him I've ever seen. I've already seen the movie twice, planning to see it the third time. I's a movie made especially for theatres. You need it to see on the big screen.
He also was one of the actors who the director of the little mermaid wanted to play as Prince Eric but he said that his tour was a problem because of touring different places. I could see him more as playing Prince Eric more than Elvis

Harry would've been such a cash-grabbing and corny choice. Baz Luhrmann is surely camp and exaggerated, but he's not one to make corny choices
Austin Butler did an incredible job as Elvis. Nobody has the precise physical resemblance to The King. Instead, Butler channeled Elvis' inner thoughts, feelings and fears, along with his indelible charisma. An altogether amazing performance.
Austin was the perfect choice to portray Elvis, we already knew he could sing, but he looked very much like him, thanks to the hair and makeup department!
He looks like Elvis???? He looks more like "Justin Bieber" Both of them can pass for brothers but No resemblance of Elvis Presley! I'd advise you to go to the eye doctor and get your eyes examined and go get a psychiatric evaluation asap.
@@paulvalentine1483 These people must be delusional or hallucinating because i definitely don't see what they're seeing it's me trying to claim that Johnny Depp resembles Bruce Willis.
Remi Malek did a fantastic outstanding performance as Freddy Mercury and he won an Oscar for it... I think Austin Butler's performance of Elvis is even better. Never seen anything that comes close to this. Simply perfect! He became Elvis. Mind-blowing unforgettable performance.
Yes he definitely did justice to Elvis❤He deserves an Oscar, he worked so hard and gave his all. He’s an outstanding actor and person. He’s got an outstanding future ahead of him❤❤❤❤
As a die-hard Elvis fan since 1956 at 6 years old, let me say this; There were times he came so close that it was hard to tell Austin from the real Elvis when the clips were intermingled. I especially liked that Austin brought out the rebelliousness in Elvis. That was never explored like that before. I thought he captured it spot on. I was very young when I first laid eyes on Elvis on a black and white television and I don't remember what show it was on or what Elvis was singing. However, I do remember the feeling I got just watching him not really knowing what or who I was looking at. All I knew was that he awakened something inside of me that I still can't explain to this day. Austin singing "Trouble" brought those feelings back after all these years. So, thank you Austin. I appreciate all the hard work and dedication Austin put into this performance channeling Elvis. I think Elvis would approve. Yes, Austin deserves an Oscar. Other stars have received one on far less.
Wow, what a great performance by Austin Butler. I've watched other actors portray him in movies none of them came to bring back Elvis even just fir a few hours for me. My friends and I felt so sad after the movie ended. We were like watching Elvis still love and then he's gone for good....so sad... .😔 ....why did he have to die so young ....butvthen thank God that we had him and left us so many special memories. Forever Elvis fan since 1956,....66 yrs ago. ❤️ Thank you, Austin, I pray that you get an award or recognition for an excellent, unbelievable performance. I hope they make another Elvis movie or remake of one of his movies like Blue Hawaii or any. Hope to hearing/watching more of your performances. More success to you. How do I get a signed autograph of your photo ?
@@pelicanus11 It doesn’t matter if he looks like Elvis. He embodied Elvis and essentially became Elvis with this performance. It’s as if the real Elvis came back and blessed Austin with this performance. I think the real Elvis will bless Austin with an Oscar for this performance.
All the hard work Austin Butler put into playing Elvis paid off in this movie. If he doesn't get an Oscar the world will be very disappointed. He did a fabulous job and should be awarded for it.
I have been a lifelong Elvis fan since 1956, at the age of 3. When Elvis died, I sent flowers and received a thank you card from the family (one of my cherished possessions). I've seen numerous impersonators, all of his movies repeatedly. I knew I had to see this movie, but to be honest, I wasn't expecting much. To say I was blown away is such an understatement. There were times when I believed I was watching the real Elvis again on the big screen during the movie. Austin's hard work definitely paid off. He is truly amazing in this role. Personally, I'm grateful to him for bringing back Elvis for a little while. Thank you, Austin, doesn't seem quite adequate, but a deep heartfelt thank you to Austin for his performance is all I can offer. I agree, he deserves an Oscar.
I have to agree with you for all that you said. I really did not expect much but this young man worked so hard to get it right. I hope that he wins all the awards possible he deserves it.
I agree with everything. I became a fan of Elvis through my mother. I cannot wait to show it to her. She as been a fan since 1960. I believe she will love it.
How humble is Austin Butler, and to throw him self in to the roll of Elvis Presley, like he did . Fantastic achievement. His actting was out standing .
I felt he did a great job doing the impossible, playing the “King of Rock n’ Roll.” He had the moves, the look, and the attitude, moreover he conveyed the pain of a man who was literally “caught in a trap.” As an Elvis fan since 1972, no film clocking in at around two and a half hours could ever communicate the story of Elvis, but given this great script which is the story of Elvis and Colonel Parker, he excels. I feel he deserves award recognition at the very least!
Me and my wife seen the Movie today and it was so awesome and Austin did so good and he deserves a reward for it for sure and I don’t think anyone else could’ve done any better it was amazing and we walked out crying
Austin deserves an Oscar for his performance. U completely forget that ur watching a performance coz he made Elvis come alive. And to think that this was his first major starring role and he outshone Tom Hanks. Bravo!!
While I loved this Elvis movie, and hopes that Austin Butler gets an Oscar for his great performance, if you think that his portrayal of Elvis was the best portrayal of an individual portraying another then you clearly haven’t seen Jaimie Fox Oscar winning performance as Ray Charles.
He knew that acting as Elvis would bring a lot of people ready to criticize him for one wrong thing. I haven’t seen the movie yet. My mom has and she praised the actor. Said he was perfect. Knowing he did so much just to get it right and truly be Elvis, it’s impressive.
Austin Butler does an outstanding job portraying Elvis. I hope he'll receive an Oscar. I respect all the work he put in to be as authentic as possible. He was the perfect choice for this part. Great job, Austin!!
I was there from the beginning when Elvis took over the country. I loved his music. I thought the kid playing Elvis had an impossible task. I was stunned when he pulled it off. I loved everything about the movie. Hanks was perfect for playing the Colonel. What a great movie!!
Austin Butler Amazing amazing actor I have never seen such a real emotional delivery that I managed to live that time for more than 2:30 minutes dancing singing acting with faces and mouths and visceral expressions a spectacle of acting Elvis Presley deserves this star that appeared in the cinema.
Watched this just last night and Austin Butler was FREAKIN' AMAZING!! My Mom would've LOVED to watch this, God rest her soul! She was freakin' CRAZY for Elvis and I think she would've thought Austin did him proud!! I was familiar with Elvis BECAUSE of my Mom (and frankly watched this movie FOR her), and I have to say, as far as I'm concerned, I think he blew it out of the water!!
I love that he give everything to play this role and he fucking nail it and I'm so happy and love his performance I can't think of anyone who would play him thank you Austin for taking this seriously
He better win an Oscar. If you think you can walk up and then imitate Elvis Presley. As good as this man. The floor is all yours. Austin Butler did an outstanding job.
Fabulous video about Austin and the Elvis Movie. I loved it all. He put in so much effort and dedication into playing Elvis the best way possible. I stopped watching TV 6 years ago and I just first heard about Austin and the Elvis movie the day before Lisa Presley died. I want to see this movie. I know I will love it. I loved Elvis every time the many times I saw him on TV in the 1960s until he died in the 1970s. I remember his Elvis Live in Las Vegas big Special in 1972. He was at his best. I don't care about Oscars I care about how Austin gave his heart and soul for years to play Elvis just right.
I've seen this movie twice already. Such a phenomenal performance. Austin Butler is definitely Oscar worthy for playing this role. He was born to play Elvis. ❤️
Austin Butler was outstanding. I have seen Elvis 3x and will be going again. I can't get enough of watching Austin Butler perform and of course the life story of Elvis. Amazing performance!!! He deserves the Oscar!!!
I don't think it could have been better. First, Butler played it super sexy and no one else has even come close. He's very very pretty, chasmatic, can move, can sing, can act, he is perfect.
As someone who was born after Elvis had left earth , I feel Austin’s performance made it possible to experience the overwhelming power and magic of what Elvis was back then, and understand why he’s legendary to this day. Like, I get it. I see it, I felt it, I’m still not over it. Just amazing work
Unbelievably Awesome Austin was incredible!! He put his heart and soul in it. I know if ELVIS was here watching he too would be on disbelief of how this young ELVIS portrayed him (ELVIS) I've seen it 7 times and more to come! My dream was to see ELVIS growing up and to see this is like taking off again cause he seem to have been ELVIS inside and out! I'm in Love again with the AKA ELVIS!! Whom I've NEVER STOP ❤️ LOVING
I think he did an amazing performance, great work and the fact that he did his own singing/dancing is incredible. I would love to see him win an Oscar, definitely a deserving performance.
I am not a big Elvis fan, but I lived right outside of Memphis for years, so you couldn't escape it. I watched the movie this weekend, and it was really good. Austin did an amazing job.
Words cannot describe the quality of Austin Butler playing Elvis. The quote from Entertainment Weekly best nails it, "Austin Butler stares down the lens and melts it!" Austin keep being an inspiration to the World!
As an Elvis fan, Austin really hit the nail on the head on this role. He really got personal and put the effort in to learn every detail. He deserves all the accolades he gets.
Been a fan for 62 yrs. I have an Elvis room with cds vinyls and books. A blanket I made of Elvis hangs in my window. Austin did a great job. Some see Elvis at a carnival with Parker and say it didn't happen like that. I see Elvis renting a carnival during closing time and have his friends with him which Elvis used to do. And the bandage on his hand, Elvis had one said it was a scratch from a fan but it wasn't. Austin did a fantastic job in my opinion. Saw it twice
I just watched this movie, it was amazing, Austin is the very best Elvis impersonator I have ever seen. Absolutely loved watching this movie. I felt like I was watching Elvis. Awesome movie. Spot on. Thank you for making this movie, it is amazing.
Omgoodness Austin Butler is so incredibly amazing he was phenomenal in the movie!! He makes you fall in love with Elvis all over, pierced my soul. I’m obsessed. Lol 💕💕💕
Austin is so Amazing he has me in tears and I bet all the girls in tears just like Elvis did.🤣 He is going to be one of best actors of all time! And as Lisa Marie said I'll eat my foot if he doesn't. He reminds me of Johnny Depp the way they put all their heart and soul in to the character and they literally become them. Not many can do it on their level. The King must be smiling from ear to ear watching him.🤗🕺🏻🔥 Congratulations Austin! 🍾🥂🎉♥️
Of course nobody could ever be Elvis, to this day he is still the Most Handsome Man to Ever Live! I watched the movie four times!!! I loved it, and learned more about Elvis than I ever knew before...I loved this film and I would not hesitate to see it again on the big screen...I can't wait to add this to my movie collection, I loved and cried at this story of Elvis...Too bad he didn't live longer...It was a sad wonderful movie...Austin Butler deserves an OSCAR for this movie!!!
Went to see it with my friend. We both thought it was SO WONDERFUL. Austin Butler...such a good choice. Was like watching the MAN himself!! Best film I've seen in a long..long...Time! Its nice to come out of the DREADED Covid, and then 👀 a film like this. WOW !!
@Doris Wood. Austin Butler only sang the songs where he appeared as the '50s Elvis. Everything else is Austin Butler lip-synching to Elvis's actual singing voice.
I have seen the movie 5 times. I have seen it 3 times by myself, once with my 18 year old daughter, just took my mom and my younger brother. Austin brought Elvis to life. He captures the essence, humanity, and the tragedy of the life of Elvis. I was so disappointed that I was not able to meet Austin when he had a screening here in Phoenix. This guy better sweep the award shows!
Butler was excellent! In the last scene when he sings "Unchained Melody" tears just sprang from my eyes, he turned and smiled and I thought perhaps the film transitioned footage into Elvis singing that song, the smile looked so much like him, I am still not sure. Was it Elvis in that footage? I saw Elvis in concert twice, in 1957 when I was 5 years old and then again in 1970 when I was 18. No one else had such a beautiful singing voice. I loved seeing him perform and hearing him sing.
For me, a serious Elvis fan for 35 years, Austin transformed into Elvis. Nearly all the moves of his body, expressions by his face, or utterances from his voice, were identical to Elvis.' Those very few that were not quite perfect duplicates had such soulful and heartfelt intention as to appear inspired by Elvis' spirit. Austin seemed to literally reincarnate Elvis, not merely imitate him. I was very impressed. Yes, I think Austin Butler deserves an Academy Award for this performance.
Omg! Austin. You were amazing. I am a true Elvis fan. You pulled this off to a T. I had goose bumps Your acting your looks the way you moved. Looked at the camera. People your singing too etc. A+ to you. At times i truly felt that Elvis was being reborn. You had me and many others in the cinema crying at the end. A great performance and memory to The King of rock n roll. I wish you every success in your acting career. You truly deserve an Oscar. Thank you for bring Elvis back to us on big screen. May The King R.I.P. May you go on bringing us great performances. I give you a standing ovation. I felt i was watching Elvis. God bless you. 👏 👏

I was very dubious about seeing this movie but once it started I was amazed, if Austin Butler doesn't get an Oscar for this performance there is something wrong...Austin bloody good job and thank you for giving me a fantastic Elvis movie and last but least Baz Luhrmann you are a genius thank you sir.
He was perfect, I saw the movie its was a genius and one time I thought I was watching Elvis. And in reality I didn't know who was Elvis because I was 4 yo when he died I learned about him in the 80's because of my parents, specially my dad he is and stil a fan of him. So Austin did an austanding job. Pure perfection.
What an amazing fantastic job Austen did of playing Elvis. He is so humble about it but I got lost in the movie and it seemed like it was Elvis on that screen. Austen' voice, singing, talking and dancing were superb. He does deserve an Oscar for hos performance.

Oscar worthy performance. To devout that much time and effort to play Elvis, is just awesome.
Devote*
Oscar nomination worthy, a win we will have to see
Austin Butler did an excellent job portraying Elvis Presley the only Elvis movie that I could feel the real presence of Elvis himself. Great job! Well done Austin I have watched this movie 4 times already and I am not stopping there. Bravo.
Couldn't agree more!
Austin should get great recognition or an award he was that good !!!!❤
🙄
That wasn't a portrayal, I've seen a lot of portrayals of characters, and this right here wasn't just that. Austin Butler was Elvis, and will be the role that he will be remembered for for a long time.
@@ckmont1996 I agree. You know what is strange to me, is that we Elvis fans will complain or disagree about anything that's done on him. And I've not seen that with this movie and that is just wild to me.
Yes he was. Good
Austin Butler was so great at playing Elvis
Elvis' own family members said it was so close that they said he portrayed Elvis the best of anyone in any of the other Elvis movies
I enjoyed this movie so much
He had the voice the facial expressions and the dance moves DOWN COLD!!!
@@hotelnapoleon1868 hi ! So far I have seen it 7 times! OSCORS GALLORE FOR ELVIS THE MOVIE IS SENSATIONAL!
As 20+ year fan of Elvis, I do believe Elvis was amazingly portrayed by Austin!
None of the other contenders even looked like Elvis but Austin was just able to channel him. Uncanny resemblance and amazing acting ability
He was absolutely amazing and deserves an Oscar!
no
You bet he did Justice to Elvis ... he put 100 % in it !
Take Me With You!!!!!!!!
Harry Styles could maybe pull off playing Mick Jagger, but definitely not Elvis.
He wouldn’t be good at playing elvis Austin Buttler is perfect for it
Austin Butler did an incredible job as Elvis.
He looks more like
"Justin Bieber"
Both of them can pass for brothers but No resemblance of Elvis Presley!
I'd advise you to go to the eye doctor and get your eyes examined and go get a psychiatric evaluation asap.
Wrong.

These people must be delusional or hallucinating because i definitely don't see what they're seeing it's me trying to claim that Johnny Depp resembles Bruce Willis.
He does not look like Elvis, even after the makeup.

Thank you very much i fully agree your statement 👍
He did elvis justice . He needs an oscar..Oscar... I thank him for working hard and inviting us reliving elvis through him
Remi Malek did a fantastic outstanding performance as Freddy Mercury and he won an Oscar for it... I think Austin Butler's performance of Elvis is even better. Never seen anything that comes close to this. Simply perfect! He became Elvis. Mind-blowing unforgettable performance.
Fantastic movie. He deserves to win all the awards. Very talented.

Austin NEEDS to win Best Actor
He did an incredible job!
Seriously needs to
didnt even look like him !
@@pelicanus11 so?? his acting was still amazing
He worked so hard to get Elvis just right. I hope he wins an Oscar. He was so good.
I just saw the film. I agree with Lisa Marie, Austin was phenomenal.
Me and my wife seen the Movie today and it was so awesome and Austin did so good and he deserves a reward for it for sure and I don’t think anyone else could’ve done any better it was amazing and we walked out crying
Young man is an incredible actor. Saw Elvis today. He did more than justice. Now he should play James Dean!
interesting idea. I would definitely watch a movie about James Dean. His short life was a turmoil.
Great idea!!!
True however they did a movie about James Dean already. James Franco played James Dean in the movie and he also did a great job.
Yes..James Dean too.
Yews,please players James
Dean!!!!!!!!
Austin most definitely did Elvis justice!!!! He deserved the Golden Globe and deserves an academy award.
Austin just nailed Elvis in a very humble and honest way! His voice and songs were amazing too!
Stunning, outstanding, amazing....what else? Oh yes, He portrayed Elvis perfectly and above all RESPECTFULLY!
Magnetic, Austin Butler is as magnetic as Elvis, why he succeeded so successfully, he added deep and profound humanity to his role.
Austin deserves an Oscar for his performance. U completely forget that ur watching a performance coz he made Elvis come alive. And to think that this was his first major starring role and he outshone Tom Hanks. Bravo!!
Austin Butler did the most amazing job of portraying another individual that I have ever observed. He was spectacular!
Congrats Austin! You nailed it!
Clear a spot on your shelf, Austin. Elvis lived on that screen through Butler. He was AHH-MAZING
AUSTIN PUT HIS HEART AND SOUL INTO becoming ELVIS! He nailed Elvis!
GIVE THIS YOUNG MAN AN OSCAR 💙
Austin told Baz that he was "READY TO FLY"....and boy did he. Austin Butler was AMAZING in ELVIS!
just saw this movie today - and boy did Austin Butler do Elvis proud.
NO ONE COULD HAVE DONE A BETTER PERFORMANCE THEN AUSTIN
Austin was fabulous!!!!! I've never been an Elvis fan until now. He certainly deserves an Oscar after working so hard to actually become Elvis.
Austin Butler was outstanding. I have seen Elvis 3x and will be going again. I can't get enough of watching Austin Butler perform and of course the life story of Elvis. Amazing performance!!! He deserves the Oscar!!!
I'm in love with his performance♥️He was born for this role!😍
Austin Butler nailed it in "Elvis". Wonderful movie, wonderful actor, wonderful movie experience! He should get an Academy Award for his performance!
Cried my eyes out after watching the film 📽🎬❤👍👍👍
I think he did an amazing performance, great work and the fact that he did his own singing/dancing is incredible. I would love to see him win an Oscar, definitely a deserving performance.
Whenever I saw Austin Butler as Elvis Presley I didn’t see Austin Butler or even an actor playing Elvis I SAW Elvis
I really appreciate all the work and relentless preparation for the role. He did an amazing job portraying the human Elvis.
To me... raised on Elvis by my Mom... Austin Butler personified Elvis.... he was amazing in this movie... loved it
I just watched this movie, it was amazing, Austin is the very best Elvis impersonator I have ever seen. Absolutely loved watching this movie. I felt like I was watching Elvis. Awesome movie. Spot on. Thank you for making this movie, it is amazing.
Austin Butler was amazing!! He IS Elvis ....my god it gives me chills......
INCREDIBLE FILM!!! What a face, voice and body!! Austin is truly unbelievable in this movie!! I feel he definitely channeled ELVIS |!!
Austin Butler did such a phenomenal job in this role and HE BETTER WIN THE OSCAR GOSH DARNIT.
273: When I first saw this movie, I was blown away by Austin Butlers performance as Elvis Presley
Austin was phenomenal.
A star is born ⭐️
WOW !!
Totally agree!
Austin nailed it. The moves, the singing, & so many nuances of Elvis', that others just didn't do. Oscar worthy.
@Doris Wood. Austin Butler only sang the songs where he appeared as the '50s Elvis. Everything else is Austin Butler lip-synching to Elvis's actual singing voice.
Austin sang the early stuff himself. Later stuff it was his vocals WITH Elvis's vocals.. ..Joe Black. RESEARCH.
100% Amazing job of portraying Elvis!
So young, so talented, so incredibly handsome! Bravo bravo bravo. I hope Hollywood doesn't ruin him.
Looked like the real Elvis Yes!
It is Austin at first, but then it transitions to Elvis and real footage from his last performance before his death and the real funeral.
Marvelous, deep, lovely man. Astounding artist. Inspiring. Beautiful.
He deserves an Oscar! He did an amazing job!!
Agreed 👍
Yes Austin nailed it..great tribute to Elvis
He did amazing as elvis!!
Omg! Austin. You were amazing. I am a true Elvis fan. You pulled this off to a T. I had goose bumps Your acting your looks the way you moved. Looked at the camera. Austin Butler did a Fantastic job! He really embodied the spirit and all the traits and mannerisms of the great legend! I went to watch "Elvis" again!
Austin Butler did an awesome job! I grew up listening to Elvis from my mother’s albums before she would send us off to school. I was so impressed with Austin’s acting!
Absolutely! He did Elvis justice and deserves all the accolades and awards that come his way!
The film was amazing. I was speechless at the end! Austin did an amazing job😍
WoW what an brilliant achievement . I also feel worry and I hope with my whole heart Austin looks after himself!!!
