I remember back when I first started playing DST, I wasn't comfortable with kiting yet but I needed to get a beefalo horn. I stumbled upon a fairy ring of red mushrooms, so I dug them all up and fed them to a beefalo in order to kill it.
Was it efficient? No. Was it worth it? Probably not. But is it a memory i'll cherish forever? Also no, I literally forgot I did that until I watched this video.
That’s a yikes... I did the same thing when I started playing Half a year ago, but I know how to kite and damage and stats etc. now lol
i just discovered the joys of the marble suit. i still havent bothered to learn kiting. just put on a marble suit and take all the damage to the face like a real champ. and for infinite marble suits just plant a field of marble beans.

Tip for wormwood players: since food items don't do anything to wormwoods health,
A red mushroom is as filling as a carrot so you can leave carrots for others and eat red mushrooms for yourself.
And that also means they're worth planting in mushroom planters! :D

@@twoDie4 yeah, wormwood doesn't get any HP or HP loss from food.
Food fills his stomach but not his heart.

Why not make a guide on fire? How well things burn, how it can be contained and/or prevented, how it can keep you thermally regulated, etc.

During Winter's Feast event you can obtain Festive Lights. When placed in Mushlight or Glowcap will produce light even at 0% durability! Infinite light, no spoilage!

Red caps are also a good food source for Wormwood, who takes no health penalty when eating them raw :)

In RoG the mushrooms grow into trees or are the trees separate? Also, in RoG when you cut a mushroom tree down you can't regrow it correct?

Blue mushrooms are my lifeblood and you can’t change me
Actually for any normal character, EAT red caps followed by 3 butter Fly Wings especially when you dont have a Crockpot.
Also the blue mushroom can be found in birch Biome

Maybe someone can help me. Iv been farming toad who spawns roughly every 20 days. But after my 4th or 5th kill he hasn't resurfaced. It must be about 50 days now and there's no toad stool. Just an empty whole I don't know why😞
Toadstool will respawn at 3 potential growing spots, typically they can be found relatively close to each other however you could be having to run across the entire cave system just to get to one that spawned far away from the others (like me) so if your soloing the fight he prepared to make 3 whole arenas for each spawning location. Trust me, it isn't easy and thus the reason I didn't get the glowcap blueprint till almost day 800.
If your after those blueprints, always take advantage of Klaus each winter since he has a chance (be it low) to drop the blueprints too.

I got real triggerd when i found out that there spawned TOW shrooms in the mush planter even tho you only planted ONE (KLEI please fix).
Mushrooms in the planter grow to form more mushrooms.
Thats the entire point of a muchroom planter, to get more mushrooms.

You’ll need more than one of any weapon
If you make yourself a campfire (no rocks variant) and a hambat or dark sword, you can stand near the campfire while attacking him and his attack won't freeze you allowing you to easily kill him in 1-2 minutes (with armor of course) wouldn't recommend this strat with Maxwell

There is a speedrunner who does very informative guides on the game while speedrunning boss kills. Look up Don't starve together speedruns and one of his videos should pop up first. Definitely one of the best DST players I've seen.
