For the new farming system, you can use the one man band to "talk" to every plant in its radius. Pretty helpful for farming without wasting time
The ocuvigil can be put on a boat and sent off to map out the ocean if you haven’t found the island yet.

@@kiro1469 I assume you’re talking about the moonrock, which you can get easily on the main continent.
Additionally, you have to remember that back when I commented that the oceans were much more bare, boring, and overall annoying to explore. All I was saying in the comment was that the seemingly useless item had a use if you were lazy enough or just had excess materials for it lying around.

5:17 I find the Ocuvigil to be of some use:
- Each time the map re-sets after an update you'll always know where to head for find the item you marked.
- It can be placed in your base so friends joining you can know where to head from when they arrive from the portal.

You forgot to mention that the ocuvigil also shows updates that occur in it's radius.
You can use it for things like toadstool by putting it near all the spawning points so that when it spawns you know where it is.
Still a very specific use, but the use is it's main feature as you can just use the moon rock used to make it to Mark a point on the map and not use the other materials it takes to make it.
So I "forgot" to mention a specific use that the vast minority will use...
Come on people, these guides aren't for individuals who do these types of things. Nothing is more annoying than these, "Beard you forgot"post.

But you can just use cratered moonrock! Its much less expensive
I think the Ocuvigil is for a few things, like showing people where the camp is immediately which can be useful in wilderness mode upon death, showing if a lure plant also spawns if you dont have carpet etc, and the funny use of putting it on a boat and sending it away. I agree though, they should increase the radius by 200%
Yo beard, here's a use for ocuvigil: place it on a boat and now when you find an important place like the lunar island, everyone does. It also shows a WAY bigger area on the map that way so u can use it to outline the map for others

One very useful purpose I've found for the ocuvigil is opening up the map of the sea. Though I'm not entirely sure how you go about letting loose a boat to roam about but I thought that was neat.

i think mandrakes don't have much to talk about..
they don't have too much uses,EVEN KNOWING that the uses that they have are VERY usefull..

A fire staff has some merit at a long range fire starting device. You can pair it with the ice staff to burn and freeze spawning buildings like beehives or spiders so you can scare them out without getting too close
Make a video on living log farming, I'm having trouble getting it.
The fire staff is good when fighting bee queen in specific phases.
Well, when it comes to farming living logs there really isn't a "farm" for it. Treehguardians are essentially random in that one person may get one or two every 20 trees chopped while others may get one every 200 chopped. There is no guaranteed way to spawn them so you can't really farm them like you can other mods. That being said making massive rows of trees yourself and having some big-bads knock them down for ya is still going to be better than personally chopping hundreds of trees to get guardians to spawn.

omg i had everthing on default and world was set to large and i found like four mandrakes at spawn as well as a ice hound staff set piece. it was a keeper

Good sir or madam, Mr. Beard did say that they were very rare, but he forgot to explain that the mandrakes found on the surface are almost always found in close proximity to one another. Which would explain why you found three of the creatures on the same road.

when i was playing dont starve pocket edition (on a phone) the meat effigy was unbreakable after dying player was automaticaly teleported to it and resurected
after resurection meat effigy was automaticaly repairing and preparing for another death
In don't starve hamlet the one man band can be used to lure the pig queen around for your own personal uses.

Hey beard, had an idea, could you not put the Ocuvigil on a boat (in the next update) and sail it along to reveal more map area for all players?
Sure can but since the update is still in beta and it will see changes I am not really going to highlight things within it cause what I say may not be true a couple months from now!
Fire staff is extremly usefull to quickly get rid of spider nests when you don't want to spend 4 day fighting spiders coming from 5 different nests ( no i mean it's really handy...) Except that i don't have any uses for it, yet it's handy.

What you may refer to as magic was to the ancients but the natural course things - Yet you should be careful not to dwell in too deep in the dark arts including the fuel as it may come costly, something the atlantean-like civilisation found out a long time ago.

Night Lights are amazing for caves basing. You're gonna be insane down there for the most time anyway, so it's not like sanity loss is a big deal. More than anything else, it just gives you more nightmare fuel for the lights (and dark swords).
Could you do Shipwrecked guides?
you can do ocuvigil in a boat (return of them) and them make the boat sails,it will reveal some map but it still not the best use

Sure! It’s basically a structure that requires two to be placed in the world to get the full use out of it. Once both are placed and you have a player at each, the 1st player uses it to get it started up and then the 2nd player uses it on their end as well and for a cost of 50 sanity, the 2nd player will be teleported (much like a wormhole) to the location of the 1st player! Very useful for instant traveling around a world as long as there’s more than one player. Otherwise if you are solo, you can utilize it as a quick method to lose sanity if that’s something you are interested in! Hope this helps a bit!

Hey beard... So I'm just Casually playing Rog(Reign of Giants) and i see the Shipwrecked Parrot on a Ship wreck, WTF DO I DO WITH IT!?

A little late but if you still need the info you can trade with the parrot and when it flies away you can destroy the shipwreck to get the seaworther which can let you make the seaworthy, allowing you to go to shipwrecked
