Great video - I think with a lot of reasonable singers it's not that the note is flat but the TONE is flat, the last point he makes is the most important. The 'Singer's Smile' I think it's called?
My problem is not going off key. I don't sing flat or sharp, per say. My problem is between words. When I go from one word to the next or from verse to chorus, that one word that connects tends to sound a little flat. It's not a lot, but it's in every song. I do it at least 5 times in a song and it's usually in the same place or on a similar note. Normally not the high notes. I have a good, strong voice and when I'm belting the songs out, I never go flat and everyone says that's my forte. But I can't yell out a whole song...lol...Any tips on that? I'm willing to pay for pointers and help.
@@normtuckeroria that's why. Head voice is supposed to be light. Unless it's really light. Then just practice your head voice with exercises. If you want it to sound like chest voice, then gotta learn mixed voice. It's pretty much high chest voice, but with head voice like vowels and no strain.

Same problem for me: connection between words
Try singing vowels only. Consonants can mess with vowel shape.
