I really like that K+C like finding other things like rocks and fossils as well. We all have the same types of hobbies from metal detecting to finding agates. This feels like an amazing community and that's why I love it!
Great finds! Don't blame yourself for the button, Kate - just think, no one would ever have seen it if it wasn't for you! I think the last mystery object is an agate burnishing tool - used for gilding or bookbinding. The square metal thing with moving parts I think is the lock off a briefcase or small suitcase. The long metal thing could be the inside of a penknife or just a knife handle. One day we will make it to the Thames! xx
Yes to another doll crafting video please! I loved watching Bitsy take shape! Her new dress is gorgeous, an absolute triumph. I do so appreciate Fleur's gothic sensibilities - especially the little "noose", which is exactly what I saw! ;) Lovely finds, so interesting. Please tell Kate not to be too distressed about that button. It is a miracle that it had ever survived long enough to be founf and appreciated at all, and happily it as found by someone who did see its beauty. For the button, that was enough :)
Yes...Another doll video would be nice. I loved the information on the pins. Can you imagine how many times a woman would be stuck when wearing a dress.
I add my vote as a yes to another doll making video. Fleur's patience in crafting Bitsy was admirable. I love the way you can take broken bits and bobs and put them together to make things that are so whimsical. Looking forward to Thursday!
Lovely finds ladies, thanks for sharing your lovely day on the foreshore. I love the pins and the history of the phrase. I would love to see the making of Bitsy #2. Stay safe and happy.
Thank you ladies and Oscar, always the highlight of my week! Nice to see Bitsy "pulling herself together", the dress is so cute! Perhaps a sibling or playmate for her in the future? Tremendously loved the end video on the history of pins. Amazing! As always, great finds in good company! Thank you so much ❤️
I think my favorites are the chunky bits of pottery you find and then second, the glass bottles. Your filming is wonderful! The close ups make me feel as if I’m right there with you looking in your hand.😊

Hi lovely ladies Thanks for sharing your latest video 👍 so cool. And so many mysterious finds. I especially love the pins too as I love to sew ❤they are amazing 😊 Can't wait for your craft video on Thursday.
Ah, my Sunday relaxation, have been making a large dog box for a friend all morning, Jane made the cushion, it's going to be beautiful. I should receive pin money from all the pins I sit on, Jane is a costumier and sewing is a huge part of her life. I loved the history of the pins by the way. Wondered if the pepper pot top thingy was a sugar shaker, but agree it could be a talkcum powdering top for drying ink. Lovely thing to find. Looking forward to Thursdays addition. Cracking finds, well done you two and thanks for the lovely film. Nick.
The history of the pins is interesting how each one was handmade And unique and strong enough to hold clothes together!!! My Grandmother was a seamstress and straight line were what they use With the patterns, I love pins with the pearl ends and colors which are way modern, But these pins you find are so magnificent!!!! Thanks for sharing ☺
You can get beautiful modern pins you are right. I like the art some people made with them on their pin cushions in Victorian times ( I think that is right haha)

Mudlarking With Kit & Caboodlers...oh, that’s so kind of you to ask! I’ve sent you some pics through Messenger/FB. We have no lovely Thames foreshore to lark, but we do have hundreds of kms of sandy shoreline (Google, “Prince Edward Island” and you will see what it mean) and there I have picked several huge jars of the very large, seaside snails...Kate would love them! Your lovely videos are a constant inspiration! ❤️🇨🇦 Millie P.S. please continue with “Bitsy” making...she’s lonely, and needs a family!
Another doll video would be awesome! Also, I have no idea why I'm thinking of this so early, but during your round up I envisioned buying some lovely Kit and Caboodlers Christmas ornaments from your Etsy shop made from your amazing finds 😊💭❤🎄...it was a lovely vision indeed 😁👍!! If that is a possibility during the holiday season that would be sooooo cool!
Great video ladies!!! So wonderful to see that Father Thames blessed your foreshore adventure! Now when you find things I can imagine what you might do with it. Fleur, do you have enough tesserae for a project yet?? Loved seeing you all enjoying a lovely day! Such fun!💕 I vote yes for a video of making Bitsy’s sister Betsy and maybe brother Ben!

Another wonderful, mudlarking, adventure! The iridescent glass is gorgeous, in the US. we have glass made to look like that, we call it Carnival Glass. Oh, how I would love to visit there and get a permit and mudlark the Thames!
Powdered sugar lid. Yep, very cool hook. 22:40 may have been a belt buckle one time now it just fell apart. 22:59 Caveman legos, LOL, 24:29 reminds me of some broken jewelry. Party dress. I know I'm a sad sod but I wanted to watch it again, I do love the Thames and one day you will find the most beautiful elegant whole pipe with a long stem. It will definitely have a certain flourish. ( like the way your mum says "flourish " ) 🤗
Marvelous finds! I am so excited! Could the broken pipe be made into a pram for a tiny frozen Charlotte, perhaps? Anxiously awaiting your next video, with much admiration- and kisses for Sunny cat!
I think the yarn used in the Bitzy's dress is a bit stiff (;p) Hee Hee. Just look at the way she sits. Kind of quirky, and painful looking to say the least. She's in need of some surgical repair I think. A heavy duty bendable wire from her head to the tailbone (backside of course) should do it. So she can sit properly. Complements to you both~ Gail your quiet smirky giggly laugh always makes me laugh with you. Kate~ I see you maturing beautifully in every video. Even your voice. And sometimes your profile reminds me of your mom's. So...I really enjoy watching you guys pick thru the rocks and shells finding whozits and whatzits. And watching you give each find a new life, thru your crafting, so they can live on beyond their years. I thank you :D JulieV. CA/USA 26 July 2020
Enjoyed watching another amazing episode. So many very interesting finds. The small round disk with the square hole looks like what was used to make a water tight seal with a nail. We find small lead caps that cover the ends of nails from roofing material around here. The ones we find are a little different but more modern. Thanks for sharing, good luck, happy hunting and take care.
Oh my😳😁!! Looks like Oscar has gone through a "growth spurt"!! Gosh, they grow up so fast 😒. Cool coins 👍👌. Well... it's just the beginning 🤞. Now you've got your "coin eyes" dialed in. Maybe next visit...a rose farthing or a hammered coin🍀🍀. You never know 🤷. I love the pins, also☺️. Sometimes it was children who worked to produce them. Back then EVERYONE worked to help the family survive. Hope your all safe and healthy as the UK starts to "relax" restrictions 🤞. 😽 kitty hugs and kisses to Sir Sunny 😻, and hello 👋to Steve and Tony 🐟🐟. ☮️🕉️☺️🤗🤭😘See you on Thursday, sister-friends 👋.
Sugar shaker? What I find amazing about the little hand forged hook is the lack of rust considering it is iron. You would expect it to be caked in crud. It’s not. How come? I think it is quite lovely.
The young oners just don.t listen do they mum? Nice scramble Kate. I was pleased that the dog wasn't allowed to piddle on her. Nice finds too you did well. That salt shaker may have come from a fish shop maybe? Your gothic hook is a bent up NAIL dears. LOL. Yes, an agate.Leave the bones alone for goodness sake. That black thing a burnishing tool or runner on a machine? What did Oscar find?
Kate u need to get a finds box with separate compartments and put cotton wool in each compartment so u can put your delicate finds in so they don't get damaged.
The object at 24:13 looks like a tungsten carbide cutting tool that you would find in a machine lathe. Very old style. The bone at 22:55 🤷♂️ can’t tell what kind of creature it came from.😬
It was the first 3 hole button I had every seen. That may be why there were no many made. Pipe bowl - Wheat sheaf? The second broken bit looks like a oak leaf. the oddity before pins, looks similar to Bakelite, maybe a key from an accordion or something?
I save your videos till the last moment of bearability. Its a bit like as a child I wanted to save the chips and roast potato's till last. Savouring the guilty pleasure then putting full concentration on eating ( if it lasted that long. Your a lovely warm half jar full people, just what the doctor ordred, thank you 😁🤗🍦👍❤

So...I really enjoy watching you guys pick thru the rocks and shells finding whozits and whatzits. And watching you give each find a new life, thru your crafting, so they can live on beyond their years. I thank you :D

Thank you so much, Bitsy is a law unto herself haha :)
Ah that would make sense, maybe from boat making or dismantling :)
Thank you for another great video and you craft things from your finds which is great
Thank you so much :)
Nice one girls love the video as always a nice day on the Thames can’t beat it for finds
Thank you :)
A hammered coin or a rose farthing are both on our bucket list! :)
I believe that Kate's shaker lid was from a sanding dredge. As you said, to sprinkle on a letter to dry the ink.
Of from a flour shaker?
I think so too. It seems too big for salt or pepper and too small for other things :)
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers That was my thought, the ones for letters are smaller.
The black heavy thing looks like the end of an ebony piano key. Loved the video.
Thank you so much for that :)
Love your content and music. Keep on going.
Thank you :)
Cool 7 Germany Coins
Beautiful Video
Sugar shaker? What I find amazing about the little hand forged hook is the lack of rust considering it is iron. You would expect it to be caked in crud. It’s not. How come? I think it is quite lovely.
Another great haul and day.
Oscar was just relaxing and lying around so he did not really find anything :)
Wonderful video, thank you☮️🇨🇦
Kate u need to get a finds box with separate compartments and put cotton wool in each compartment so u can put your delicate finds in so they don't get damaged.
I think we will :)
The object at 24:13 looks like a tungsten carbide cutting tool that you would find in a machine lathe. Very old style. The bone at 22:55 🤷♂️ can’t tell what kind of creature it came from.😬
A few people have suggested the same thing. the bone is possibly a human toe bone!!
That music is so relaxing. Thank you for your video. Beautiful day.
Thank you :)
Yes, please show us the making of Bitsy Junior!
Get better Kate! I ❤ your channel!
When Mudlarking the Thames you should go where there is lots of mud, you will find whole pipes.
Raewyn Rush, they may not have permits for those areas.
YES!!! To the doll making video. Please. :)
Like 739. Buenos hallazgos amigas. Saludos desde Chile.
I would LOVE to see another doll made/JulieV.
So many old german coins 🥰👍🏼
Would love to hear the history of pins. Yes
What neat finds! I would love another doll video. I don’t even know how I missed Bitsey’s video in the first place! Glitch in the algorithm?
Not sure, the video was never very popular so maybe just never came up in recommendations :)
It was the first 3 hole button I had every seen. That may be why there were no many made. Pipe bowl - Wheat sheaf? The second broken bit looks like a oak leaf. the oddity before pins, looks similar to Bakelite, maybe a key from an accordion or something?
Thank you :)
