personally im a cummins man but the fact that you bought that truck in high school and built it up to what it is just amazing dude if i had to sell my truck i would die awesome chevy man
Hope the next truck is as badass as that one. I feel your pain i just put a lifted chevy to rest a few months ago that i had for 16 years, and had so many memories in.
Dude your truck is the role model for my maroon 98 Z71. Hope to get it repainted two tone with lift kit in the future. Got it running like a bad ass right now.
All I have to say is whoever bought this truck better take good fucking care of it!! I had a 1992 Chevy k1500 all tricked, best truck ever but I was forced to sell it also. Beautiful truck man definitely the best I've seen built!
I don't see the point of doing that to a truck, however, I can relate to loving your truck. Tweaking and tuning your truck to your own tastes is really enjoyable and brings me (and I'm sure you as well) lots of pride.
Awesome video man! That truck is killer! This economy is ruthless and i have been its victim myself..You built one hell of a truck and did it right which most ppl these days dont do. I have one or two of your videos of that truck saved in my favorites and they get watched repeatedly! Good song choice too lol
dam man i no how it is to go through hard times and havin to sell ur pride and joy hope things got better for u im hopin one day they will get better for me too and i can build a new mud truck too
that was an amazing truck hate that you had to sell it im kinda goin through the same ordeal right now with my old 89 f350 its only got 9" lift 44" boggers and an old worn out 460 but i still love it, it was my first truck and if things dont start lookin up for me it might have to go to but theirs no way i could stand their and watch it go, it would be me handin over the keys and then runnin back inside and cryin myself to sleep hahaha
Massive set up ! 👍🏼 I always see vids of trucks like this in the Midwest with massive 800hp motors and want to go to one of the muddn events. I did the same thing in highschool, one pay check at a time. Now it just sits and gets driven once a year, if even that.
Right you are, Billy gun actually owned a badass F-350 on 2.5 tons years ago that he flipped at an event. If you ever get a chance to watch Trucks gone wild 1 you can see it go down.
Well actually we did rent out our house and move in with my Grandmother, after several months and still losing ground I put it up for sale and sold it at asking price. Over the last 2.5 years things have gotten alot better and on track, there are some thoughts in my head about the next Mega truck. The next one will be EPIC!!
Sad you had to sell it man I'm trying to save my 97 k15o0 with a frame issue I'm not letting him go I might have to a frame swap at 16 with very little money but over the past almost year of owning the thing I can't let it go
wow! I had seen that picture at the end before, cool to now know where it comes from. That's a bad truck. I have a '90 K2500 Z71, only on 32s now, but if I can hold on to her long enough, id like to go like 38s
cool transformation video. I wonder how much money he would have saved if he had gone right from stock to the final truck w/o doin the ones in between? enough to do a second truck maybe?
id like to know how u built ur ladder frame and set up the steering on ur 2.5 ton axles and ur suspension please thank u. it was a nice truck thanx Dave
Hey i just did a injection to carb conversion on my 97 k1500 and trying to figure out how to set up the gauges i like how you did yours any info on how you did it would be great
i was wondering where the hell to get the 5 ton axles and about 90+ plus inch tires cause im at 18in lift leaf springs 8 in fender cutout 14in shackle drop 12in blocks front and back with a 8 in body lift totaling 60in of lift and i need some big axles and tires for a relatively good deal
this made me cry. my truck is not as cool as yours but i got to sell it cuz i got a job what is to far from my house to drive it and cant find a place bi my new work what i can afford
@@tylerwenberg1605 coils? Their has never been coils on 88-98 Chevy 4wds its IFS with torsion key front suspension. The only 88-98s with coils in the front is 2wd

So cool to actually see someone start something with a goal in mind and actually follow all the way through with it
This is one of the most badass trucks I have ever seen. It's even better that you did it all yourself. Props on an unforgettable Chevy.
Had some fun back in high school in a white Z71 like that, fun times.
You never know you may be able to buy it back one day. If you want it back that is. Nice video. It was a bad ass truck.
Hope the next truck is as badass as that one. I feel your pain i just put a lifted chevy to rest a few months ago that i had for 16 years, and had so many memories in.

Tbh your should have done up the donor truck man that would have been so sweet

@deathfactor050 Yes the torsion bars were tweeked, and I don't remember the exact tire size. I think 265s but IDK for sure.
good job! love it!!!!
if i want to build a truck or frame like this, is there any template that i can buy or did you measure and cut everything to your own design?
About 10k but I had to dig deeper because the stock transfer case broke shortly after so another 2500 on top of that.
Hey i just did a injection to carb conversion on my 97 k1500 and trying to figure out how to set up the gauges i like how you did yours any info on how you did it would be great
