I watched this tutorial and literally learned to do the back handspring within 10 minutes.the crooked backflip really does work if u don't have a spotter. I was able to do it without the round off but it does help a lot. Thanks GNT

My record is 9 back handsprings in a row... but that was like 20 years ago when I was a competitive gymnast. Your video makes me want to be able to do them again :)

The basic things you need to learn backhandspring
    1.Confidence and determination(most important matter)
    2.Bridge(flexible spine)
    3.Handstand(strong hands and shoulder)

i have always wanted to learn to do this. When I was 15 I had a track coach who was no longer my coach but was visiting me an my running track friend. We practiced back handsprings and it was really fun.But since then I have never tried.I do yoga and run still and am in half decent physical shape. Do you think adults in their 30's 40's and 50's should try things like back handsprings and such?I'd like to see more places for people to do gymnastics, body weight exercises, yoga, parkour and other body oriented things.I think this stuff is fun, psychologically freeing and is good exercise. It just is not really as common or accessible as tennis courts, basketball courts or ball fields, or average gyms.

If there's something i learnt from this, it's about FORM FORM FORM.
I would have liked to learn this moves and others but the risk is great. I don't have much room at hoom nor do I have a spotter nor do you get mats that easily.
But I'm trying the low risk moves that don't involve flips.

Im hoping to improve my back flicks. I keep leading with one shoulder/turning my head all the time and cant keep them in a straight line. Its fustrating. But I might try and do some conditioning training to improve my shoulder and back flexibility to see if it helps with co-ordination.
