  • Manish Assar, MD, a physician on the medical staff at Baylor Jack and Jane Hamilton Heart and Vascular Hospital, explains syncope.
Syncope, or fainting, is a sudden loss of consciousness with a rapid, spontaneous recovery. Syncope often recurs and it can be harmless to life threatening. Therefore, people who experience an episode of syncope should seek medical attention.

I like to troll people in the cam rooms, women, men, trans. I will type in some embarrasing stuff to watch them get freaked out or offended. I laugh and everything goes a bit white and my seems to rush with blood or something. I almost pass out. I'm gonna die trolling people in cam rooms. It's too much fun getting them to ban me from their room. Stupid people trying to make money because they look good or because they refuse to work. I just want to mess with them.

    ACID REFLUX INDUCED SYNCOPE.
If you have bad acid reflux for many weeks or months the lower gullet sphincter seems to stop working so food backs up in the gullet and feels like you cannot swallow or are choking.
Then the pressure of the food causes pressure on the blood vessels from the hart and that reduces blood flow to the brain which suddenly shuts down.
It is quite terrifying when it occured to me three times in ten days.

I had two syncope episodes happening and I’m happy to have a fear of blood which makes me faint a lot. But my seizures are not returning back at all. It’s ok for my body to have blunt moments to change to fainting syncope instead. It’s not stopping me from doing anything in my life.

Thanks. I do however get annoyed always being told it's because I get up too fast. Sometimes it happens while laying down or sitting. It's frightening and seems somehow to have gotten worse and I can't explain how. But thanks for the term as I didn't know.

Last night I had what is called a cough syncope. I had a serious coughing bout where I had a reflex that was telling my throat to keep expelling air... I eventually let out so much air that I went into a full blown, what I felt like was a seizure, and I just kept releasing oxygen out of my lungs and ended up into a seizure where I was in a state of being aware and having conscious thoughts, but my body was suffocating for air. I realized that I urinated on myself and snapped out of this loop. Thank God I was sitting down. My upper respiratory system is definitely system and/or throat gag reflexes is making me feel like I have to expel air for some reason. It's a dry cough that is tickling the very bottom of my throat that is causing this gag reflex I think...Ugh.

If you have this, get an ultrasound of your carotid arteries as they may be blocked and need surgical clearing. This reduces blood to your brain. Especially if you are over 40 or have cholesterol problems.
Also tell those around you what happens and ask them to lift your legs above your heart if you pass out. And then get you some water or liquid to drink as you can. That will help.

So a year ago i was on holiday having a great time and it was about lunchtime and i just finished looking at the river in the full sun and decided to go and get lunch because i was feeling a bit funny i like cant put it to words it kinda felt like i was feeling sick but I just thought its probably mental not physical so i walked it off until eventually everything goes black 😂 pretty sure its heat syncope but now for a year ive been living with panic attacks and throwing up and feeling nauseous and panicked when i get to hot. I dont know if its some kind of trauma from the holiday? Or whether ive literally got heat syncope as a condition? Pls summer is my fav season i dont want to fear it 😓

January 11 i was transported to er from a minor medical center. Er said syncope but minor medical where it happened diagnosed me with unresponsiveness. I passed out ( was sitting down just my head dropped forward) I was never dizzy only hallucinated confused and my vision was what I called near and far sighted at same time that’s all the symptoms I had. I was out and unresponsive for around 30+min dr preformed sternum rub and no response I was unresponsive until EMTshowed up. This sound like syncope to you?

Tina G. “Until EMS showed up”. Did EMS intervene in a way that increased your neurological state and level of consciousness? Would you know if they had? Vital signs, ecg, gcs (among other things) during all of this? Lab tests? Imaging? Other matters of medical investigative inquiry?

My PCP thinks its anxiety. I am afraid I could pass out and that’s it. My cardiologist says I am not likely to have heart attack. My neurologist doesn’t think I could have stroke. I need help. I need some help. My husband who is in great physical condition has started having this. It started when he was put on high blood pressure 10 years ago. He has had a few over the years. Recently it’s getting worse. This last one we had to give him CPR. The hospital has ran every single test and kept him for three days. He was taking. Very low dose of Losartin and he is off that. His doctor agreed he does not need it. He felt great, but now today had another one. His tinnitus is loud and he said he can’t get a deep breath and is struggling to get that. In the past two weeks he has had one bad one and he hurt himself on the fall, and since then has had three more. He is doing everything right and even the hospital said we don’t know as he is in great health. They ran every test. We are so frustrated. We need some help as I am worried sick.

It seem like if I get an infection or some flu symptoms and immediately after I use the bathroom my vision vanishes, I can't see, I sweat profusely, but as soon as I lay down my sight regains
