The lyrics man... the lyrics!
Joseph Thiery thought the same!!!!
*The Human Stain*
See the cemetery sky,
carmine red and deep.
Watch the oceans rising high,
it’s the human stain.
Talk about the growing hunger,
ask why with deep concern.
Don’t you think the human race
is ceaselessly vain.
But it hurts to be alive, my friend!
In this silent tide we're driftwood passing by.
Don’t you wish you were a child again,
just for a minute, just for a minute more.
Hear the ticking of a clock,
the sound of life itself.
No one really wants to die
to save the world.
Tell me that you're torn asunder
from how we fail to learn.
And tell me as the earth goes under,
where’s your anger now?
So it hurts to be alive, my friend!
In this masquerade where all one day must die.
Don’t you wish you were unborn again,
just for a minute, just for a minute more.
Tic toc!
The ticking that could tear asunder,
the beating from a heart of stone,
the lust of your divine prosperity.
Because it costs to be alive, my friend!
And this life that someone merely gave to you.
That's the price you pay, minute by minute,
you beg for a minute more.
He plays his voice like an instrument
I love Roy Khan. My favourite singer
No one noticed the uniqueness of the lyrics?
Best lyrics i've ever heard.
2015 ftw.!
2018 still the best
Every time I hear the singer's voice, I feel the desire to listen to more.
"So it hurts to be alive, my friend"❤
My favourite Kamelot song .... not their best for sure , but it has a deep meaning ... love it !!!!!
I really miss Roy... He sings with his soul, this song is really profound and it leads me to think deeply about a lot of aspects of life... Thank you Roy for this kind of enlighment
I'm certain about one thing: the lead singer is one of the best darn vocals I have ever heard! Just beautiful!
When he sings "minute by minute" at the end... holy shit the emotion! Just amazing, the first time I heard this I was literally in awe.
this is definitly one of the greatest band ever. there skill as a band is unmatched
kick ass vocals..can never get bored at the way he sings
this is opera/metal at its finest... its so incredibly melodic
Why have I only just found Kamelot? My life now feels complete!
This song gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. Will always be one of my favorite Kamelot songs.
I second that!
Roy Khan always knows how to relax me when I'm angry or upset...I love his voice
This song's lyrics are so spot on on describing how pessimistic the life can be. I love this song and it's prolly ma favourite song from kamelot as well
Damn, i get chills. Every single time.
This is the best song in the world, so much meaning and passion. Everything... soo... tragically beautiful.
i love how kamelot's earlier stuff is pretty much just straight power metal, but the newer stuff has kinda branched off of it into it's own very unique sound. makes me appreciate them as writers alot more.
Deep down inside of everyone is the longing to be a child again, yet in this life or the next we will regain that childhood we so desperately want again.
Kamelot rocks! The drumming in the chorus is astonishing! Casey Grillo has managed to build his own unique style through the years, and I think that nowadays he is one of the best metal drummer!
I understand the part of Roy, and I wish all happiness and gratitude for a demonstration of his voice in Kamelot. And members of Kamelot, all sorts and support, thanks for all musicality in all this time. Continue to follow their good message!
No importa cuantas veces la escuche, esta melodia siempre me hace estremecer... Una de mis favoritas desde luego...
"Don't you wish to be a child again?" -> adults after become parents
I agree with Jagster, Roy Khan has some of the most unique vocals I have ever heard. I think he used to also sing operatic. I fell in love with his voice the first time I heard it
The saddest thing for me is that when i find sick-awesome kickass music I become addicted...but when I listen to it after 100 times, the music loses it's magic and I get tired of it.
I'd hate to get tired of Kamelot THE BEST FREAKIN BAND IN THE WORLD. I hope their songs never lose their magic ever and I never get tired of listening to them.
I cant understand why they haven't gotten more views. They are just soooo good. Favourite band over all ~ love you.
11 years later, I still haven't managed to listen to Human Stain without crying. And it's not even my favorite track from them, my undisputed favorite band. No lineup changes will ever be able to diminish the depth of my love for you guys.
I LOVE it...just found them! I wonder if Queensryche is one of their inspirations. Sounds a "little" bit like them.
April H Yes actually my dad and I looked it up and that's what my dad said when I showed him this band LOL
Actualy their drummer just filled in for Queensryche last year
Brilliant song. Brilliant band. They touch my soul.
My favourite Kamelot song...lets get it to 2 million views in remembrance of Roy!
I f**king love kamelot, will always be one of my favorite bands!
I love Kamelot. His voice is unique and beautiful, the genere is awesome.
My favorite song from Kamelot. Can't believe its nearly 10 years.
if Roy was around I kinda wanna see him and Tommy do an album together just cause I love both of their abilities of being a singer for this band
Khan is by far my favourite male singer on the metal scene. This is one of my favourite Kamelot songs!
Reading this, I can't help but wonder now, when the album is out... What do you think now? I actually was in doubt to, when I first the news and started listening to Seventh Wonder. I wondered if he really was going to fit. To be honest I think he does an amazing job with Kamelot, and I am happy it was him who replaced Roy and not someone else. Yes, he is not Roy, he's Tommy, and I think he's amazing as he is.
POTWIZZ Yes man!!!! Yes!!!!😘
Best metal band ever without no doubt :) They bring something new to metal that I've never heard. F*CK YEAH KAMELOT FTW!!
this song hit me so hard u.u
I started listening to Kamelot just resently, and I have to say that this band is on a total different level than most of those I have listened to! Khans voice - i don't know what to say - it is incredible, magnificent, beautiful and unforgettable. No one can oust Kamelot!
I saw them live 6 days ago. I shook hands with Roy and ended up with four of his water bottles.
Just discovered Kamelot a few days ago... This song actually moved me to tears. I hope they tour near central florida sometime. Definitely one of my fave bands now!
just for a minute....just for a minute...more...
Excellent video clip band Kamelot!
This song is just fucking amazing!
I just now came across Kamelot. I was listening to symphony x and i looked over at the suggested artist list . . . . . and bam my life is changed.
Where have i BEEN
Beautiful memories... \m/.
One of my all-time favorite songs.
Annotation: "Watch in HD!"

Really liking this band, though.
same
2007 vid after all.
Well this video is old af
KAMELOT IS LIKE THE BEST SINGER EVER!!
Hes voices is amazing and i love how he act in the videos. Peoples shot hear more about him. =)
Just saw them live with Tommy. He was perfect! I hope they keep him. I worry with the news of nightwish abruptly getting rid of Anette... And Kamelot had Fabio after Roy and now Tommy... So I hope they settle with Tommy. His voice was an AMAZING replacement.
His voice is divine... One of the best vocalists out there ,in my opinion.
The new vocalist is incredibly talented, but dammit do I miss Roy Khan. So much.
brings back so many old memories and each one are great
that guy is way to cool were can i learn those hand movements lol
Kamelot is not an emo band!!!! Just straight in your face power metal with an awesome singer. Sadly underrated and unknown band...here in North America.....KAMELOT ROCKS!!!!!!
Nostalgic!
This is the kamelot station dude...as in the people who market their music made it and are happy people are checking the music out
The tombstone with the cross at 3:18 has the date MMXXIIV, which its probably MMXXIV, which is 2024. I wonder if there is a significance, or if it's just a tombstone
Best song along with Rule The World on the Ghost Opera album! The lyrics are especially awesome in this one. Kamelot forever!
"watch in HD!" - 240 ... guess the definition of "hd" changed quite a bit^^
Just saw these guys last night in St. Paul, Minnesota. UNBELIEVABLE show for such a small venue. They sounded amazing and the crowd had a blast.
I can feel you, dude.
Saw them live in the 29th of October. T'was amazing, and I ended up walking away with some of Kahn's water bottles.
It has got to be probably the most amazing experience of my entire life.
His gesticulation is quite impressive even though I never even noticed it -_-
I love this band!!!
Is the drumer Casey Grillo? Because he looks so different in The pendulous fall
Yes. It's him. It's little older in The pendulous fall.....
Awsome, breathtaking, stunning. Lyrics to this song is work of pure genious - so good it literarly hurts!! Love it.
This song made me leave a "human stain" on my pants.
the sound and look of this vid, really good. kamelot is an awesome band.
woah, general zod sings for a metal band?
lovely voice!!!
@SimulereAvDetPokkerz Sorry but Kamelot was nothing before Khan.Almost everyone knew and loved Kamelot because of Roy Khan... I hope they can go on without him :/
I kinda see this song in a new light after seeing the video. I get the 'woe is me' feeling from this. We as humans constantly complain about how life is difficult, but when it comes down to it, we're not really willing to change anything. The line 'and it hurts to be alive' brings this out, but in the end we'll still beg 'for a minute more'.
124 people don't wish to be a child again.
just so nice... just so beautiful music!
This song matches withs actual world pandemic state. Look what we've done. All the scratches in our motherland. Can we repair it someday? Or are we doomed within her fall?
Very... Very...Very... Good!!!
a Brazilian fan of metal!
Kamelot metal and yes it real!
Kamelot and Epica the best !!!
good ol 144p days xd
man the vocals in this band are amazing! it suits the music perfectly imo
I do agree, their first singer was horrible... But the music was still amazing. And now it's been a while, have you listened to their new stuff? Amazing, Tommy does an amazing job.
this song makes me have to fight back tears every time i hear it, and fucking NEVER cry, thats how damn moving khans vocals are, best clean vocalist inthe world
Beautiful. I love Kamelot.
I love their videos. Kamelot is one of those bands that you simply cannot forget & dislike even if you like extreme metal.
absolutely amazing...
first metal band of which I'd listen to every song.. no screamos, no emos, just metal and symphonic - feeling the powah :D
these guys take all the cheese out of power metal and just leave complete unbridled awesomeness refined to the most perfect complex form.
amazing.
the harmony part with the soaring vocals and the guitar during the chorus is fantastic!
never ever heard of this band before.
Im really impressed.
Good song and good band all around
brilliant song m8s, simply brilliant...
I love the "clanging" sound the guitars are making. ooooohhhhh this songs sends shivers down my spine.
Money shold always take a back seat to the message or expression of a band sirofcydonia. If you sell off who you are for a bigger bank balance you won't have much left.
I'm only checking out Kamelot on my little Prog/Industrial odyssey but I have to say the sound they have is both huge and beautiful plus the bass lines they come up with are relentless. I'm going to have to pick up an album or two this weekend. Very happy I stopped by.
This song has such haunting vocals and has such a captivating sound. Always makes me contemplate life.
i seem them to 21.03. in Cologne, Germany
I love their music, they are so good.
Keep on Metal
Kamelot always has the best music video's. I love the clock part...
I slip into an awe-struck daze whenever I hear Kamelot play.
They're positively amazing, and Kahn has a godly voice.
My god I can't stop listening to this song its just so beautiful.
Beautiful song!
