- The defendant dated the plaintiff’s son. The plaintiff claims she gave the defendant a credit card to pay attorney fees with the agreement she’d pay her back. Unfortunately, the defendant failed to pay, so the plaintiff is suing. The defendant argues her boyfriend also owes money, and the plaintiff shouldn’t solely put the blame on her. Besides, the defendant says she made payments consistently.

For her to not pay her "mom" back is really heartbreaking and shows ignorance and being not appreciative. She really has been a really good mother figure to her and I dont think she's really took that into sincere consideration.
This woman was picked up by ICE and on her way back to El Salvador and she’s been in the US since the age of 10. And had to audacity to not pay this woman back after she helped her from being deported. Not only does that sound ungrateful but Crazy!
If the son really love her, he would marry her and give her papers so she would not get deported, that's the least he could do for his kids mother.
So it's obvious how he really feels.

It is sad because there are good people who do pay back gifts and loans but people would never help them out because they were burned by people who just want handouts, it's just a shame that people won't even attempt to give back, help out or pay back things when they were in a bind.

That kills me. If she was so against having a loan that she didn't ask for then decline the money and tell her you'd prefer to stay in jail 😒
She has no shame, why did she do this to this poor woman. You could see the plaintiff is a loving woman, I would have worked overtime to give her back her money with interest.
And so would I, but i struggle to understand why she is continually pushing herself on this ungrateful woman , she needs to leave the alone. We need to be Wise in what we do.

Your English isn’t the best yet I’m not judging you for it because I am also an immigrant and understand that knowing more than one language you’re bound to mix things up/forget sentence structure for your non native tongue.

I'm not buying her acclimating story, she came here at 3, that's practically her whole life. I came here at 9, and I went to college and everything. She's been in the states longer than her own country. I teach ESOL and kids pick up English so fast even when the parents don't speak english themselves. If her excuse was she had to help at home and could not focus on school, then yes I get that. Immigration process is no joke thank God for the lady that helped her.

I went to elementary school in Southern California, and a few kids only spoke Spanish. We were a language immersion school, and all of the students were bilingual. Teachers spoke to ALL of the student body in Spanish most of the time.
After all she'd been through, the Defendant still turned out to be a POS to the generous woman that took her in as a 3 year old and raised her as her own.

This is a perfect example of why Foundational Black Americans need to focus on helping themselves and stop trying to assist non-Black people who aren’t from this country.
In this case, you have a Black woman referring to a Hispanic immigrant female as her daughter, but yet the immigrant didn’t even have the respect and integrity to pay back the person who assisted her to become a legalized US citizen.
Wonder why that same Black woman didn’t put her compassion and sympathy towards finding a Black husband?
Ummmm 😒 I would've helped once, twice but she would've been back in El Salvador. I've helped so many to where I've been tapped out and when I needed help, they gave me there behinds to kiss. RANDOM: I am all for name creativity, but I just personally don't like Jacqueline spelled as "Jacquwlyn:. EDIT: Spanish is basically California's second language. The defendant speaks English quite well now and evidently has for a while. I am aware of many, many people here in California who can barely speak English and do quite well. There are portions of California cities, where English is rarely spoken. She states it was hard for her to acclimate linguistically, but she acclimated very well to the scamming and dishonest ways of Americans.
This was actually a win-win since the show pays the judgment.
