??? They never said they nerfed him too much, they said tanks dont feel tanky enough which is absurd btw. They will be individually buffing tanks to make them more tanky and i dont think hog will be on that list.

@@mrvampire2292which is why 5v5 will never work, for tanks to be good, they need to be virtually unkillable. When tanks are unkillable, you NEED to counter them. Hog before he got hit with nerfs was a perfect example, they had to go all the way to that length to make tank playable, but made it unplayable for everybody other than hog. The only solution is 6v6. If you REALLY want to stay in 5v5 my suggestion would be to actually nerf the tanks for them to be much more squishy, this would fix the counter swapping issue hence these tanks would actually be killable. The only way to kill tanks right now is to counter them, when they make them EVEN tankier, the game will be done for.
I don't get how everyone keeps ignoring the rework she got. It gave her faster missile speed and fire rate. Also horizontal mobility. People were whining about it being bad but it seemed strong to me from the start. Now they got used to it, and also the armor changes were an indirect buff to her damage against armor. EDIT: The rework did even more stuff, now that I looked at it again. She is faster in the air and she can slow her descent without needing fuel (like Echo does), meaning she can make herself more unpredictable when she falls. She does less damage to herself with her rockets, meaning the "fly above someone (through a vertical flank route) with your zero-noise jetpack and get a bunch of guaranteed directs" playstyle is more effective. Her boop does damage now, so you can use it in a burst combo for more than just CC. So, you know, you're bursting them while throwing off their aim.
Pharah can't two shot without some form of damage boost though, hence why I'm confused. If she's just grounded for most of the game too, then why not play Junkrat? Where you can play extremely safe and find that good spot to just spam in. He has more reliable ways to kill (crazy as that sounds), better Ultimate, also has no fall off, and can come from unexpected places just like Pharah. She just gets hella oppressed in everything that isn't high rank and needs to hit multiple directs. Also Pharah only has that kind of hover like Echo when she has no fuel at all, and unlike Echo's she seems to drop significantly faster than her. It just doesn't feel good compared to Echo's at all.
@@shade7728 The idea with her no-fuel hover is not to stay in the air as long as possible, it's to use it at the right time while falling so as to throw off the aim of hitscans trying to predict your path. Junkrat's projectiles are a lot harder to precisely aim at absurdly long ranges since they don't just go on a straight line. His spam vs high-ground hitscans that play cover is way less oppressive and his unexpected flanks are nowhere near as easy to set up. His footsteps are way too loud, crouching around is way too slow and he won't get to the places Pharah can get, unless he uses both of his mines, which denies him damage CDs for the upcoming fight (or forces him to wait longer, wasting even more time). His trap is way less useful mid-fight than Pharah boop and good players don't often step into it. All in all, worse at spamming and slower and worse at flanking. There's a reason one of these heroes has a 58% (!) winrate (not Overbuff stats - confirmed by the devs) and the other is not very good outside of some unhinged OTPs. Also, she might not be able to two-shot, but she can two+boop-shot (even vs 300 HP Reaper, let alone 275 HP Cassidy or 250 HP targets - Bastion is the only one who survives due to big HP pool with armor), and that is quite fast since rocket-->boop is not affected by the fire-rate of Pharah's gun; boop cancels the delay between rockets and shoots out immediately. Also you can soften a target up with spam splash damage and then use mobility cooldowns to go for the kill; depending on their HP status you can often rocket-->boop-->splashdmg-shot them. You can also try to do something like rocket-->boop-->rocket to put heavy kill pressure on someone while throwing off their aim. Keep in mind that every rocket has a slight boop as well. This makes it hard to nail enough shots in a row to kill her before she kills you. And if she sometimes opts for longer-ranged engagements, she can afford to have a higher ttk since she will have no falloff but she WILL be outside the falloff range of most hitscans, esp Cassidy, who happens to be the strongest one right now outside of maybe Tracer, who is obviously always prevalent in T500. Another thing she can do that Junkrat can't: vertically jiggle peak. Sure he can mine up and throw a bunch of bombs while in the air, but that is nothing like vertical jiggle peaking, where you use fuel to move in-and-out of cover vertically, just as you would with side-to-side movement on the ground as any other character.
The idea of Mauga's guns is so fun, but both of his abilities are so... why. Like Overrun is better mobility than a Rein charge, has a hard CC, and gives Mauga Fortify, on a 6 second cooldown? Crazy. And Cardiac Overdrive is kind of ridiculous when playing against certain tanks (mauga mirror, hog, winton, etc)

Buffed damage and no falloff. You can two shot squishes from so far away that the hitscans can't reach you effectivelly.
