I feel like it's somewhat hard to ignore Ball nowdays due to the buffs he got. Pair a buffed Ball along with a Tracer, Genji, or any flanker of the sort and you'll eventually have to deal with him somewhere down the line. It's why imo Sombra is essentially required to fight him. The Ball player will probably whine but they usually have over 1000 HP with no crit spot. It's honestly warranted.
Ya they didn’t really fix the problems with him, the adaptive shields change to teammates is cool but they need to make it more useful cause it’s too niche in most instances. They just mega buffed him the patch after making him too good in the hands of an experienced ball player meaning that countering him with sombra is a necessity
I feel like Cass is a nice soft counter for ball, it might be 'cause I'm on low elo but at least Cass always works for me, used to be better with the magnet bomb, you just throw E, double right click and the ball should be scared enough to run away and get healed since with that combo it recieves a lot of damage, now if you double that combo with Ana sleep + nade that ball is gone.
May be a hot take. But I think this is just one of the many core issues of overwatch as a concept. Designing characters with extreme strengths and weaknesses is great. But wrecking ball literally can do everything until he gets hacked or stunned consistently. Like, say what y'all want about sojourn, sigma, tracer, or kiriko. but if someone is shitting on you with any of those characters it's probably because they are just better than you or most of your team. If a ball is shitting on you it's probably because you just don't have a decent Sombra player.
I know that champion players are built different, but man, that first game had 2 awesome teamfights that made me put a comment to really show my appreciation! At 1:49, we start 4v4 with both Cass dead. Next, we got Cyx trying his usual hook-kill against a half-health Doom in the middle of the battle space. In response, Doom got nano and all the enemy team rushed in, so Cyx got cut off and isolated. In normal circumstances, Cyx dying is a no-brainer. But no! Soj and Kiriko went around the tower to save Cyx and turn the tide! I think the enemy team was too focused on cutting off Cyx but not finishing him off. That's their mistake. Next at 6:15, we start 5v4 after a successful Lucio hook-kill. We heard from Cyx earlier at 5:57 that staying near pushbot may lead to cryo, and that's what happened here. But thanks to a timely suzu and beat, Cyx was saved and the fight was won. I think the enemy team not trying to stop suzu and beat (either by CD bait or isolate both heroes) was their mistake. I think the first instance was impressive because Soj and Kiriko saw that fighting head-on was futile, hence their turnaround. While the second instance was pretty amazing to me, seeing that Cyx was standing NEAR the pushbot just for A SECOND, and Mei quickly took advantage of that, THEN Lucio and Kiriko with their book move saves. It's just crazy, what space awareness and timely skills could mean in a high rank teamfights.
“Healers” or *Supports?* Blizzard made a mistake when their “Support” heroes were designed (mostly), around healing rather than just.. *supporting* the team by other means or, having heroes specialising at a certain way of supporting [the team] without having any remotely similar ways of support in any other hero. *Or…* Having two types of “Support” heroes, a Main-Support, and an Off-Support, where one is/must be mostly (“mostly” there generally = 70%) focusing on their whole team or, most of their team *[Note1]* by themselves (mostly). And an Off-Support is the opposite, where they (mostly), focus on the enemy team without the help of any team member *[Note2],* or split the “Support” hero category based on their abilities and capabilities into two types of supports, *Assistance* and *Reinforcers.* *Assistance* heroes are defined and *recognised* as: *_Heroes who solely excel at assisting and relying on their (single) teammate to get value._* *[Note3]* *Reinforcer.* Reinforcer heroes are defined and recognised as: *_Heroes who excel at sustaining, buffing, protecting and or enhancing all or most their team to get value._* *[Note4]* *Note 1:* “most”, there means: 3 to 4 teammates considering the context. *Note 2:* An exception being, an Off-Support hero, could support their team by providing additional firepower or covering fire for any teammate that is retreating or providing single cover-fire to any teammate for attacking, defending, occupying, distracting et cetera…. *Note 3:* Just as their (single) teammate is relying on their (Valuable) Support “Assistance” Teammate to get value or even more value. *Note 4:* Reinforcer heroes cannot do anything to all or most of their teammates at the same time and or instantly, and they may NOT be allowed to excel at sustaining, buffing, protecting and enhancing the team all at the same time, otherwise by definition, they *will* be even more broken than pre-release Ramattra or even Release Brig in Overwatch 1. Baptise is a *close enough* example of that.
I hate wrecking ball with every fiber of my being. It's not fun playing against him, and it's not fun learning how to play him either. You get through a surplus of 1k HP to kill him once, and suddenly he's back in 5 seconds or less to annoy the rest of your team.
If a ball can 1v4 the entire game and have literally zero risk of dying then he needs nerfs. It shouldn’t really be possible to distract that many people with no risk even if it’s your teams fault for diverting that much attention to the ball player.
I mean tbh that Mei played very veryyyy good. you only killed her with the kiri let at the end. the rest she was super annoying. insane gameplay and insane supports
I feel like overwatch is in such a boring state currently. Tank just feels like counterwatch, and honestly the whole game is just countering and composition diffs. And I get that's like a key part of overwatch. But man it is so frustrating when I see my team has like moira/Lucio vs literally anything else lol. Or let's say my tank is on hog vs Ana, getting rolled, no value, but just doesn't swap. Some days I win 8/10 games no problem. Other days I lose 9/10 while putting up good numbers. I have an off game or 2, but honestly those games aren't even the ones I lose, or care about. It's when I get 40+ elims on DPS, twice their teams DPS, and somehow still lose.... 5x in a row....
i don't make the thumbnails anymore. i do give the prompt for the thumbnail and dexter (thumbnail guy) renders them out. i used to create my own thumbnails back in the OW1 days but it was a lot-- streaming, editing the video, and then doing thumbnails. i'd be staying up till like 5am every upload to get everything done.

"How these balls are getting so much value"
same...
I think it's because the balls are deep in Cyx backline, and he cannot prevent the damage on Hog efficiently. Pretty tough man!!
