I lovely ballad & a constant remnant of my late Bro Johnny who passed away last december whist home for the Christmas !! He loved Clare & our few wanders up & abouts Wicklah !!
What a beautiful song. People always love Christy's humorous uptempo songs but nobody sings a slow song or ballad with such feeling as Christy does. He has a great ear for a good song and this sog written by Gary Moore is a classic!
I'm remember being at one of Christy's concerts in Galway years ago. Everyone sang along and clapped to the humorous songs but they completely ignored the slow songs such as 'Nancy Spain' and just kept on chatting to each other. Strange behaviour. I think his slow songs are the best.
@@seanodomhnaill2518 I fully agree with you Sean. I always found his slow ballads and songs very moving, songs like "The Diamantina Drover", "John O' Dreams, "The Voyage" etc. all great songs.
Thank you for this gem, Christy Moore. I am a big adire of both you and of the late great Gary Moore, and hearing you singing this is so heart warming. I've given two of your songs a try on my own page, and you are very welcome to have a listen. 🙏☘🙏
Mighty! Go Raibh Mile Maith Agut. 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿 For those who walked up the Wicklow Mountains: they’ll remember that there are no paths… and you’ll need strange attractors to bring you where the song goes.
Beautiful rendition of Gary's amazing song, Christy a chara. I saw both of you in concert here in Cologne over the past 30 years with my family. Wonderful times. We love you very much.
