    It was a long travel day and the problems that we encountered at the Swan Hotel didn't help things at all.

    You seemed to have been accommodated just fine. They gave you two more rooms, and you found one to your liking. Maybe the hotel at first was a drab, but they did go above and beyond to help you. You just seem like one to complain

      James, you obviously didn’t watch the entire vlog. This happened in a 5 hour period. We had to ask for assistance which should have been offered. They did not go above and beyond. Don’t judge me when you don’t know anything about me. Jen

    Just stayed here and had an awesome stay. Sorry you ran into a problem, but the negativity during the video was over the top.

      3 rooms in 5 hours was ridiculous. The first room just felt musty and I knew there was a problem. It just wasn’t normal, lol. Jen xo🤣🤣🤣

    What a bummer! They really do look like nice rooms too! I think we’d try it at some point, but other resorts are definitely higher on our list.

      We were so disappointed Kayla. We had read so many good reviews. I'd rather stay at an All Star Resort for a 1/3 of the price.

    My parents always enjoyed the Swan and Dolphin but to us it just didn't have that same feel as staying at somewhere like Old Key West! We're so thankful getting to see it from a different perspective :D

    I am so glad I didn’t end up staying there glad I listened to my inter self and saw a video on it that wasn’t good 💗 give me disney real resort’s for sure

    So frustrating! And to send you guys to another room that smells and the a/c doesn’t work, Good grief! Glad in the end they were able to get you guys a third room with no issues. I can’t say I haven’t stayed at a Disney hotel that I haven’t liked. But, I’ve had my share of room issues. Port Orleans Riverside is one that comes to mind. The room smelled musty/moldy when we entered and I found black mold on the bathroom ceiling (I’m allergic to mold.) Notified the front desk. They made right by moving us to a different room & comped us a nights stay.

    That’s too bad. 😢😢 We’ve stayed at both the Swan & Dolphin in the past (last time in May) with no issues.

    Sorry you had a bad time at the Swan. I have stayed there many times, and have a few small issues. But nothing that would keep me from staying there again. I'd much rather be right next to Epcot than off site. The Dolphin is great too.

    Oh no!! That sounds awful. A. I can't believe they didn't try to move you over to the Dolphin to begin with! And b. I feel like that is the curse of moving up a flight! That's the only time we've had a bad experience is when we added on a night to our trip, got delayed 5 hours, almost got hit by a Disney bus and ended up at Bay Lake Tower with no water in the building 😂😂 but they gave us club level for the rest of our stay so it all worked out!! 😄

    Funny how things don’t change with these sister resorts. In 2011 I stayed in the Dolphin. The room had a horrible musty smell. It was unbearable. I called the front desk. They placed me in an executive suite. Room smelled much better.

    Believe it or not we didn’t like Animal Kingdom Lodge. Felt too far from everything and not Disney to us. We actually asked to be moved and quickly switched to Beach Club which we love.

    What a frustrating experience!. We had a similar experience at Coronado Springs, but for neighbors yelling and screaming and ended up moving three times! Ugh!! I really wish hotels would stop putting lock off rooms in due to noise and people trying to open that door. I will tell you this, we have trained our kids since they were toddlers to whisper when walking past rooms at a hotel and be considerate of other people. Recently we had a family park their stroller next to our room while their kids had a massive meltdown, I had to say something.
    All the rooms looked great. I think I liked that Swan room better.

      Lol!! There’s not one thing I disagree with you on. It’s called hotel etiquette. No one wants to hear screaming when they are trying to relax in their room or sleep.
      Sounds like you had a worse experience than we did and ours was pretty awful.
      I liked the Swam more too. The Dolphin is HUGE. But the Swan needs a refurb. The hallway carpets were disgusting and I can’t believe we didn’t take video of them.

      Lol! This carpet was literally black and totally needed to be replaced.

    Hopefully the rest of the vacay was better. Can't believe they sent from bad to worse. At least you were able to swap locations and get some sleep but still...at that price point...not a good look for the Swan.

    I love the location of these hotels and we have stayed in both many (maybe 20+) years ago mainly because of the ability to walk to 2 parks and the price. Then we fell in love with the Yacht and Beach Club and I think I'd find it hard to go back to either of them though I am often tempted by that price. After watching your vlog I'm definitely less tempted. Would you ever try the new Swan Reserve or are you done with that hotel group?

      No, probably won’t try the Reserve. But, only because we can use Timmy’s family rate which is sooooooo good and will allow us to stay at our favorites. Jen xo

    Oh no! that is not good at all. We’ve never stayed at either the Swan or Dolphin. Sorry you had so many challenges. That’s kind of how we felt with our first room at the GF. The rooms do look nice and spacious though. Glad they were able to finally get you into a decent room.

    Oh wow...sorry you guys didn't have the best experience at Swan and Dolphin! I am DVC so we are used to the deluxe hotels but we stay at Swan and Dolphin a lot in between or in conjunction with our DVC stays and I love these two resorts. We have had our share of problems including no hot water during one of our stays at Dolphin but the pros out weigh the cons. I love the quick coffee places like Java and Fuel and pre Covid the restaurants were great. The location is great, the pools are great and Mandara spa is also great! The location is prime with friendship boats to Epcot and HS or a quick walk to both. They were much better before Marriot took over but still just as nice as some of the deluxe resorts. However, I am not a fan of Ill Mullino..very expensive and underwhelming.

      @@themeparkcheetah Got back last week from our long weekend at the Swan. Check in employee was amazing. He asked if checking out at 11was going to be good for us. ... He bumper it up to noon for us because of our flight time. The room was perfect. Corner room, 4th floor, with floor to ceiling glass with a balcony over looking the waterway and bridges to Hollywood Studios. I spent every morning and evening sitting on the balcony.
      My son hates the heat, he had the room at 60 degrees. We had no issues at all with the temp. We will be back on 12/21.

    Stayed at the Dolphin one time, not impressed. For me, the only thing that Swan/Dolphin has going for it is that it is close to Epcot. Not having the AC work and the musty smell that comes with that, not acceptable! Lesson learned for sure!

      Most definitely. Unfortunately, we won’t be staying there again. They did give us a slight refund but the fact that it took 5 hours and 3 rooms to correct the problem is just unacceptable. Jen xo

    We spent four nights at the Swan in June and had no issues. The location is awesome and my teacher discount brought the price to something I couldn't pass up.
    Stuff happens that puts a damper on vacations. In the end, it worked out for you. In a few years, you may want to give it another chance. Never say never!

    You definitely had a bad and unacceptable experience. While it sounds like they weren’t able to solve the problem, this should have been a compensation situation - partial refund or points etc. That said I really would suggest this vid should be shorter given the content breadth. Still what counts is Marriott failed you.
