That is awesome news. I got rid of my key a long time ago and always wondered if there was a way stop it from starting. I’ll be in touch about a few of your products soon. Thanks
I know im asking randomly but does anybody know a trick to get back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb forgot my login password. I would appreciate any help you can give me
@Colten Xavier Thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
I assume this is the same for the 2024 EU bikes? (i am in AUS) i have a grey/white wire from the kill switch to the ECU which i assume is this wire. in this model will it drain the battery if this wire is earthed?
My 2018 KTM 500 exc has that white & Gray Stripped wire but there is a blue wire already connected to the white/Gray. Can I remove that Blue wire and connect my push button switch? What is that Blue wire for?
@@baccy81 ok I have 510 te husky .... keyless from factory .... I was told they couldn't add a key start since it was never key start from factory .... they could only add kill switch..... was ur bike keyless from factory? because I'm trying to add a key to mine .... thanks for the replie
@@josechavez4854 yes my bike was keyless and it was a major concern for me since I ride it legally on the road and stop occasionally in the city. The dealership had the ignition key kit ready to install, they also told me there are several aftermarket options to choose from. As far as I know KTM owns Husky, so I don't see why you should not be able to fit a key switch, I think your dealer is either uninformed or just can't bother
How do you prevent someone from noticing your routine every time you start the bike? I assume every time you un-kill your bike you give away your secret location to an extent? I ride in some places where the same people might start to notice.
At the end of the day it’s still a 250 pound bike, two guys in truck will have it loaded into a truck and stolen in 30 seconds. Lock your bike to a structure w a security cable and a lock for true security
It's a nice idea, but can't the bad guy just unplug the fancy kill switch that is connected to the grey wire (thus disconnecting it from wherever it may be hidden) and off they go?
I feel this is less effective than a key. 1. You can literally press a button and ride away. 2. If you’re not smart enough to press a button you can literally rip the button off and ride away
I think this is just a back up to the obvious on/off switch. Or if you did a key eliminator mod then you would could have a hidden switch. Obviously someone could find your hidden switch or even pick your bike up and walk away with it lol. Just meant to slow them down

Nice. I actually have wondered what that wire was. Great tip! I plan to make use of it.

@Colten Xavier It worked and I now got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thank you so much you saved my account !
@Jedidiah Kevin no problem xD
You guys are awesome! Thank you so much! Works flawlessly. I purchased a waterproof push button switch.
Today I learned something new, I no longer need to change my switch, now I will just put an off button.
I love those fork-leg turn signals...
Can you do a front suspension setup for this year of forks. The newer ones are totally different.
It would be awesome if you made a video on anchoring a chain and some other bike security tips/advice in a video

What would plug into that white/grey wire? I noticed it on my bike but wasn’t sure if something was supposed to be plugged into it
I'm not going to tell you which wires, There's only 2 on there 😂. Great info on the kill switch though!
Definitely 3 if you ain’t realize but still have most people the news
Awesome video and spot 9n advice once again keep up the great work.
what about a 2002 400 exc ? i’m trying to install a hidden kill switch
Does the FE350 have a similar wire?
thanks for this man. going to put my alarm on this. that wire should work as my starter kill wire off the alarm, right?
Trying to figure out how to do this on my yz!
I have trail techs dash light and need help wiring in the dash light from factory speeedo

Thank you👍
New to your videos, and I like 'em, thank you. Will running this wire to a ground source slowly discharge the battery or is it a non-issue?
It’s the same as your kill switch being on kill.

I have this same blue wire disconnected and also wonder what its for... If you find out please tell me
Is it possible to install an ignition key to these keyless bikes?
that's what I'm trying to do
@@josechavez4854 by the way, I had an ignition key installed on my KTM 250, easy peasy

@@josechavez4854 plus, the key switch IS basically a kill switch with a key mechanism, so you can add one to any circuit, your dealer is BS
Thanks for that 🤝
Any way to do something similar on an '03 exc?
Couldn’t find it on my 2020 exc-f eu model (I’m in Australia)
On the euro spec models this lead is plugged into the left hand kill switch
does this ground wire exist on the 17-19 bikes? I looked around on my '18 FE501 but couldn't find this wire.
Yes. All exc’s since 12 have this

What if my bike wont turn off if I touch that contact to the ground as you demonstrated? My bike is still running when I connect this to the ground :(
Then it’s something else. Call us at the office if you need any more help

I like the turn signals. Did you make them?
Fred G yes. You can message me and I’ll get you set up w some. Are you on the Instagram? I’m @hobomoped
Yes. Can I hook you up with a set!?

Does having no key drain the battery? Also I thought the sicass plugs in by the battery. Thats where I have mine plugged in.
no
