Hi! Been binging all of your travel videos getting ready for my own Korea trip coming up :) Did you find that the KTX to Busan was an actual memorable experience or key part of your Busan leg? For the dates I am looking at, the flights are also cheaper than the KTX so I was thinking of just flying if it's just an ordinary (but fast) train ride experience!
Tbh not memorable in terms of the sites for us. But we found it to be more convenient since the train station was right in the city whereas if we flew we would have to plan to get to the airport even earlier and also factor in cost of traveling to airport. Train was also very comfortable!
hey i enjoyed ur video! but i have a question, is it difficult to travel by KTX when we have big luggage and a child under 5? my family and i want to go to busan by train but i am kinda worried. it looks fun tho in ur video. thanks before!
It definitely is possible :) I would just give yourselves enough time as the train leaves super promptly! But big suitcase and strollers for instance are brought into the train and stored in the front of each cart. The folks are super helpful there too and I’m sure they’d be happy to assist

Good question! Each cart on the train will have a section where you enter with a luggage rack for larger bags that you can put below your seat or above your seat
Hi. Nice information. im going to Seoul solo next month and planning to go to Busan. If i go there for 2 days/ 1 nite is it worth it? The transportation is easy over there like in seoul to everywhere for shopping/ eat/ beach ...etc. Thanks
2 days should be good! But you should think of a specific neighborhoods to spend time in. That way you can get the most out of it. Transportation is similar to Seoul, but places are a bit more far apart we find.

Nope! Just going into South Korea. BUT this would depend on where you’re headed to next. If that country requires a pre departure test then you may need to take one at Incheon
OMG I just purchased my KTX tickets through RailNinja yesterday, and just now stumbled upon your video. Ugh had I known lol.... Anyways I'm excited to also be visiting Busan in late August! I am also staying at a hotel in Haeundae beach! So if I want to avoid bus and take a local subway, is the connecting line or train found within Busan Central Station?
Ughhh nooo haha. But still very exciting!!! Yes subway is connected to Busan Central Station. There’s one transfer I think but very straightforward and that’ll take you to Haeundae beach station!
Just wanted to ask I booked through rail ninja the saw alot of people said it was a scam OBVIOUSLY it worked for you! When you got the tickets was it right away? I booked our tickets but only got a confirmation number not yet a ticket
next time just go to Seoul Station like after 9-10pm or Busan Station in early am like 8 - buy tickets for a few days early counter agents are easy to deal with little english those kiosks are a pain in ass and only take korean credit card price is like Boston to NYC reserved seats
Ah interesting! We didn’t have issues with Rail Ninja but soooo expensive and not worth it. Better to go in person if the official Korail site doesn’t accept foreign card
