Dear Sir, I want to know if I set the gain in right way, when I am setting Low shelf and High shelf of EQ, the volume meter goes more than unity gain. So should I set the gain back aftert set tye EQ????? Thanks
The input gain can remain what you set it too originally. You only really want to readjust it if the source itself becomes louder. Every adjustment you make to EQ, fader, etc. is happening after the initial gain stage. So if you are getting really hot levels on your main meter, then you will want to pull down the channel fader and/or pull back on any EQ that is boosting.
