Love how you explain how all the machines work Andrew just brilliant
Lovely update, looks like a nice show… thing with seminars and live events at county shows (I know Cereals is more specialised, not a county show per se) is there’s already so much to see and do, so having to be in a certain place, at a certain time, for a certain duration of the day is a bind. Burghley has a live time TV channel, which must cost a bomb, but I do think there’s something to be said for a ‘watch later’ option, with a videographer filming any seminars etc, that people can watch afterwards. And to cover the cost of or/monetise that, machinery manufacturers and trade stands could pay for five minute video brochures about their products and services hosted on the site and on socials… QR codes, ‘scan to watch us online’
That’s a great idea, thanks Rob.
It was really good to meet up with you and have a quick chat in the car park.
Excellent video, Andrew, that tractor pulling was awesome.
They’ll be more on Monday evening!
Great video Andrew we find all your information and details all so interesting , thank you for visiting us here in Great Eccleston we had a brilliant weekend , busy day cleaning up the showfield today at least it's been sunny Thanks again Andrew for attending the show ,very much appreciated .
Thanks Harold, I really enjoyed it. Great show. Good job you got started on the clean up before the rain!
brilliant as usual
Great update Andrew, another good video with plenty going on, good to see the Elita working.
A great update Andrew, its nice to see how you do the wild bird seed. Can't wait to see the rest of the show coverage.
Me day night!
As usual, lots of useful information, and an insight into what may be to come. Thanks Andrew for the glimpse into a possible future.
Hi Andy, I like all of your content especially the machinery new and old. Thanks
Great update Andrew. You seemed to be getting some stunning shots in today's updates, both of the machinery working and of the beautiful countryside. Really nice seeing the close up shots of the earth crumbling so perfectly. Nice to have a guest outro too. I definitely think your videos gain more from the personal intros and outros.
With regards to what I would like to see, its always machinery. You might not be able to get good shots of machines working at certain shows, but with any machinery display I'm always interested in the older machinery and the older operators anecdotes. New technology is still interesting but I'm far fonder of the older kit, and it's another reason I like your videos is because you never cover the audio of the engine notes when they are working.
Great video as always mate, keep up the good work!
Thanks for the feed back. 😊👍
Really good to meet you today on the jcb stand
And you, thank you.
Re cereals I go to schools showing the children how the process from planting the seeds to the harvesting to selling right the way to bread making sandwiches etc and the all process. I think this would be a good thing to show children that come to the show. Also how about showing new crops and the new strains of them. I was at this years show and this was what I was thinking
Very few children go to cereals. I think they’re was a section of new crops, I’ll check. Thanks.
@@WardysWaffleAndrewWard I think more of the new strains and the way they are changing. I am a farmer up in the Lake District and have got a few new crops
Cracking update again Andrew, you would think that oil seed rape from harvest 23 would go at the front off the shed so it goes out first. I like that saying zip up your pockets batten down the hatch’s and shut the cheque book 😂😂😂
😊👍
Thanks Fer explaining everything that is going on.
😊👍
Appreciate the close ups of the land being worked! I wonder if some sort of time lapse of various crops growing could be of interest at cereals? Had a day out in Lincoln yesterday, the car hesitated as it left yorkshire and we got our local dialect guides on the ready! Had a great day looking round the cathedral and rolling down the steep hill, finished off with refreshments at the white hart hotel before heading home! Thanks Andrew
Glad you enjoyed Lincoln, it’s great up around the cathedral and castle.
Another great update and it looks like joe put you to shame in his Yorkshire Show Tweed Jacket LOL. See you Wednesday or tomorrow
🤦♂️😂😂
Great videos information visuals narration
Thanks from Maryland USA
Thank you. 😊
great update andrew enjoy the show
It was great, thanks. It’ll no up tomorrow night.
Excellent update as usual. Love how you explain everything about the imements. I learn more about farming every update. Pleased you reverted to personal intro.
Thanks for the feed back.
Great video Andrew
I really like these programs.
😊
Great upgate. 👌
When you built the Elita, did you experiment with where to drop the seed? Watching this video it looks like seed placement is a bit compromised in front of the rubber roller, would it be better swapping the seed and fert lines round?
Enjoyed your update on Sunday Andrew. Wondering what your thoughts are regarding grain merchant’s importing “European” wheat with end users claiming a low carbon footprint and dragging down uk wheat prices, considering uk farmer’s wheat stores are not empty. No loyalty from uk grain merchants who ask us farmers to buy their expensive seed, fert and chemical?
Totally agree. It’s wrong. All they think about is lining their pockets, no thoughts for UK farmers.
Great video,
Would it be possible for cereals to get some plots sown this autumn with various drills to then have comparable plots to view next June!
I’ll suggest it
Thought you weren’t going to bother doing the OSR storage.
I said there was far more in commercial storage but the market is dead at the moment so it’s better to get something rather than nothing.
hi great video Andrew will you show a video of the mole drainer working that would be interesting i spent days doing that job but only one leg tho
I will do when we get going.
There is a lot of noise about farmers and nitrate runoff, perhaps you can do a piece on this.
No money in that storage deal you said last year 🤷♂️😳
I said there was far more in commercial storage but the market is dead at the moment so it’s better to get something rather than nothing
@@WardysWaffleAndrewWard hard times ⏲️ 💪 then💰
Hi. I thought you were done storing oil seeds for ADM. Hoping they are paying a better rate for all your hard work. Thanks from Canada, I always learn from your content
We were but the commercial storage (or non ag use) is flat at the moment so it’s a case of get some cash in or none at all.
Wonder how the 8RX would perform on the tractor pull or indeed how the pullers would perform on the Elita ! Probably best sticking to their own jobs.
It would have been good to try the RX!
Great vid as usual Wardy , have you not put the Biosolids on for OSR establishment? Lot of farmers swear by it.. 🤷🏻♂️
We’re not drilling rape, it’s winter bird food. We spread 10,000 tins a year if it and it’s great stuff, very low in potash though. We’ve not put it on any of these plots because all are next to a 6m margin or ditch and you can’t spread sludge nearer than 10m
Morning Wardy
Cereals-demo plots need to have a bit of body about it so we can see the machines working in proper conditions. Preferably not rattling grass roots about in dust
@hughwood1 they do but the event has to be on kind soil because of the risk of heavy rain leading up to the event and then cancelling it.
@@WardysWaffleAndrewWard fair point but the demo plot wants to be no kind 😉
Cereals is for networking totally agree. Glad you’re looking at layout because that was bloody awful.
Q? Didn’t think you were storing Osr again ?
Thanks for the cereals feedback. We were going to be storing it but the non ag commercial job is flat at the moment.
winter wheat you hope that view sure is nice if that new SINGINGPOSTMAN Government chap will eye it as suitable for a solar farm , i can guarantee his new version of blowing in the wind wont be a hit
Hi Andrew, just a quick question, you said that chicken litter can deter flea beetles, do you have any extra problems with slugs with having chicken litter on the top ?, great video again really enjoyed it 👍🏻
I’m only quoting a neighbour who uses chicken muck so I’m not sure about slugs.
👍👍👍👍👍👍
AS exhaulage contractor with all the recording cameras legislation i was forced to fit the handiest from driver point of was loading and reverse cameras
A single ending is not a true Joe Seals ending ...😉
😂😂😂
Re cereals - just make it feel like it was all together - the layout was awful . Needs more networking as you say. Seminars with no one in are pointless
👍😊
