Most definitely a success for you. Well done. It was tough. The Big Half is a quirky route - in particular the long stretch of cobbles are nasty. I was in wave J and the heat/bright sunlight was a problem for me and I think it was for many others too. Good luck for working out your future plans for running - some races do pose the question of what to do! I look forward to the next video. Thank you.
I appreciate your kind words and encouragement. The course may not have been the quickest, but I concur with you on that. The weather was quite peculiar that morning, very humid. Despite that, the atmosphere was fantastic and made the experience worthwhile, in my opinion. I am excited about some upcoming races and can't wait to share them with everyone. Thank you once more, I hope your own half marathon went well!
@@inmruns A pleasure. I look forward to hearing about your upcoming races. I can understand the excitment - further chances to smash out a great time. Agree that the experience of TBH is worthwhile. I am told that I did well although I always wish to do better! I have Ealing Half on 29th September and Brussels Half on 3rd November...
Well done and thanks for sharing! Love your content, please keep it up. I was in Wave G, was about 26C by the time we were done. Tough run out there but first time I managed to do a sub 2hrs.
Great job! such an incredible event! I'm thrilled to hear that you had a good time. I hope the weather wasn't too unbearable for you. It seemed like there were plenty of water stations available, so I'm sure that helped keep everyone hydrated. Thanks 👏
You have two options: secure your spot now or take a gamble and wait until next year to potentially snag a community place(£10)through a running club. Additionally, if you frequently volunteer at parkrun, you may have a chance to receive a spot as well.
I'm thinking of signing up for it for next year. It's a slightly better weekend for me next year. Would you recommend it? I've never done the London Marathon, and it looks like a mini version of that.
Hi Simone Thanks for watching the video. I hope you liked it! I highly suggest giving the Big Half Marathon a try. The event organization is top-notch, comparable to that of London Marathon. It's a great stepping stone towards running a full marathon someday, given that it's half the distance. The route overlaps with the marathon course in some sections but mostly runs in the opposite direction, giving you a taste of what the full marathon experience could be like. While the crowds may be smaller, the support is still fantastic, especially around iconic landmarks.
Chin up, still a great time.
Look forward to the next video 👍
Thanks 👍
Cracking time
Thank you
Great job Ian!!
Thanks Todd

Great run and a great video.
When does the ballot open for next year's race ?
Thank you. Happy to hear that you liked it! I just checked the general admission price, and it's quite steep at £56.50.
@@inmruns 😮 is there a ballot or first come first served ?
