I don’t actually think EVERY idol wants to go solo- I do think there’s a few that are prioritizing their solo careers over the group, but that seems rare
I think this is more true for mid-level to low-level famous groups. The public often only knows one or two names out of all the members which probably makes the lesser known members want some recognition and time to shine.
I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to go solo, since I'd feel lonely and don't like to have 100% of the attention on me. But I mean, if you become and idol I guess you like to get attention and time to shine
I think many kpop artists joined their group to get the kpop experience as celebrities, cause many of them don't have talent as a solo artist and they know it. It takes a certain ambition and understanding of your own talent to want to be a solo artists and many aren't up for it.

It's easy to say you don't want the money to go to the "company", but, girl, there are tons of people working behind the idols and they should get compensated well for their work, too. Costumes, mvs, shows, etc. these cost money. You can't dismiss all the time and effort that happens behind the scenes just because you want the idols to make bank. Of course, it sucks that a lot of idols aren't making millions, but it's a business. Some make tons of money, some do okay, and some don't. Some are in good companies and some are in bad ones.
As a reveluv, I just want to say that rv won't disband. No sm groups ever disband. They just go on an indefinite hiatus until they or the company want to cb. With that said, I'm sure rv is going to get a cb this year since it was already hinted by the members, but due to some issues it was postponed

Getting mad at each other is just a path to form strong bonding

And I think the more time you spend with someone, the closer you’ll get, as you said you’ll learn to adjust with each other. It’d be pretty impossible to know and live with someone for 10 years and not eventually become friends with them.

I thin yes their relationship can strengthen with time and bcs they have to live with and to see each other every day, but i also think it can make things worse. They have a system. The company pays for comeback promotions videos n stuff. But then the money they make views from album sales and views goes to getting back the money spent on the comeback. Once they exceed that amount, idols gets paid. If they don’t exceed, they go in debt

But the comment just means it’s kind of invalidating (even if you don’t mean it in that way) to say “All of us get sad or anxious” because it can make those who actually have anxiety or depression feel invalid because it increases the dismissive attitude towards mental health. A lot of millennials say “it’s just a phase... everyone is anxious and sad” which makes the person feel worse because they feel like they are overreacting about their feelings when it’s okay to feel the way they do. Basically, it can cause a stigma with mental health and as a society we are trying to normalize problems not tell people to basically “suck it up”

people are underestimating aespa sooo much and i really don't get it. yes their dancing isn't the best but it's an improvable thing. other than this they don't have any flaw, their vocals are the best among those 4th gen ggs and their popularity gets stronger day by day, they are really good at digitals. also even a huge brand givenchy saw their potential and chose all of them as their global ambassadors like do you see any 4 month old group other than them to achieve things like that

Even if Aespa made horrendous music and had 500 million scandals they would still find great success purely bc they are under SM. But Black Mamba is a pretty good song and they are phenomenal vocalists (one of the only things SM does right is finding talented vocalists) so I think their talent alone will garner them pretty good success plus they have great digitals for Black Mamba
i stan a lot of groups and to me, all of them seem close. but of course that might not be the case. what i know for sure is that bts, got7, stray kids, gidle and mamamoo FOR SURE see each other as family, not even as best friends. maybe dreamcatcher too but i wouldn't be so sure because i only started listening to them a few months ago. that's all.
The assumption that Red Velvet will disband doesn't have any substance because it wasn't a hiatus that was intended. It was a hiatus that happened because Wendy had to go through recovery and rehabilitation because the injuries she suffered are difficult to heal and to recover from. On top of that, they take a while as well. I'm sure they'll get a comeback after Wendy has her comeback.

some ( not all ) kpop agencies are pretty fair about money and payment, for example BigHit and YG, about 60% of the whole income goes to the artists themselves, when 40% goes to the company, like the members of BP BTS BIGBANG most if not all them are ranked on the richest kpop idols in the industry, like waaay up maybe top 30 or 20 smthn. i didn’t bring this up by myself, i saw the percentage of incomes of some kpop agencies, and kpop richest idols from some articles, but i do respect the person whom in 8:00 💗.

i feel like every company has brought views for their idols at least once. now im not going to hate on blackpink (im a blink) but the numbers on their dance practices just dont add up to me sometimes, i will go in and it will have maybe 200k views but then i refresh the side and it suddenly has 1.2M views and the video might have been posted like 45min - 1 hour ago and thats enough time for half of the fandom to watch it, it just doesnt add up. I can't really say anything about other groups, but BTS have said many times that they have had many fights, you'll have members not even speaking each other, or they don't want to be in the same room, there is even a clip in Burn the stage episode 4 where Jin and V fought but they literally had to go on stage and perform like 5 minutes later. BTS have said they deal with arguments by talking things out, and not letting it sit because things get worse when you don't address them, which you also see in that Burn the stage episode.

If i buy an album. I buy it because i like it and because i think it is worth my money. Not because i want to give my money to the idols. I don’t want to sound harsh but most of the idols have much money.( most of them are millionaires) why should I „give“ them a big part of my well earned money. Please if you want to buy sth. from your favourite Idol, do it because you actually like the thing you’re buying and not because you have the need to give them even more money.

I think all the stuff I see about Red Velvet's disbandment is just dumb. People keep talking about how long of a hiatus they've had which must mean its the end but did y'all just forget that Wendy was in hospital for months? And then after being discharged had to go through physical therapy for even more months? If they had had a comeback before now it would have meant that Wendy would have been preparing for a comeback before she had completed her physical therapy, do y'all not want her to get better? I find it baffling that people will drag SM about the lack of an RV comeback when they should actually be praising them for letting Wendy have a really good amount of time to recover, lets not forget how severe her injuries were people. This past year the girls have all been active besides Wendy, Yeri with Yerihanban & modeling, Joy with all her modeling and acting and obviously Irene & Seulgi with their subunit + other promotional activities. This year was actually really good for them in the long run as it really allowed them to progress with their solo careers without having to worry about Red Velvet scheduling. My bet is they'll have a summer red comeback

My opinion is that Exo has the best vocal line in k-pop like when you watch their lives and you see what there able to do is something not many groups can do! I see in the comments that lots of people start mentioning groups they think are genuinely close. In my opinion, the most common thing would be that in a group, happens like at school, in class: you have your best and closest friends, or at least someone with who you spend your school day together, a friend. But when you have to do a project with other classmates, even though you don't consider them your friends, you still can have a good time with them, and there's respect; you know each other, you can be together, there's no tension or awkwardness, but you wouldn't talk about more personal things or issues and there's not enough trust and familiarity compared with your close friends. In my opinion, in a group they are not all close friends "like siblings", but they appreciate and know each other. Also, remember, they live together in most cases, and spend a lot of time together. After being with other people for years 24/7, usually, you end up becoming friends, maybe not the closest ones (or maybe yes, you never know), but they have shared a lot of time and moments together, enough for vlives and variety shows. Of course, things like AOA's Jimin's case can happen too, but in general if they all respect each other and are willing to get along enough for cooperation and teamwork, they shouldn't have any big problems. Everyone can argue, even with close friends and also classmates, but as long as it doesn't end in a toxic relation and they end up talking and understanding the other's position it's okay. I wouldn't say the group as a whole are siblings, but niether that they aren't colleagues. For example, ina grupo of 6, maybe A and B are real close friends, C and D are also very good friends with each other, and then A, E and F are quite good friends. And, as a whole, they are not close enough for being considered like brothers and sisters but the environment is very nice.
For example, I believe that bts' Tae and Jimin trully are bestfriends. I'm not assuming or thinking that the other members or groups are fake friends, I'm just talking about just one specific example. Also, Stray Kids it's a special case because members were chosen by their leader and not by the company. I think Chan really took into account the chemistry of the team, not just putting random people in a group. And, I suppose that he didn't choose people who were not going to have chemistry at least with him (not wanna say that he's selfish, just want to explain that for obvious reasons, no one would choose someone they don't like for their team, doesn't matter how good it's singing or dancing or rapping).

Only the biggest idols get paid well. People who don't debut under the big 4 are basically immediately put into debt and work their asses off for mediocre pay checks, and some don't even get paid. Because idol careers has such a short lifespan in most cases, idols invest their paychecks in things like stocks and real estate to ensure they're well off in the future as well. The biggest idols don't even need to spend their paycheck on expensive boujee closets and items because they're often sponsored or gifted to them
I think that the money doesn't go to just the company or the idols, acc its distributed to the producer, the song writers, the choreographers, the idols, the company, etc.

I don’t actually think EVERY idol wants to go solo- I do think there’s a few that are prioritizing their solo careers over the group, but that seems rare
I think this is more true for mid-level to low-level famous groups. The public often only knows one or two names out of all the members which probably makes the lesser known members want some recognition and time to shine.
I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to go solo, since I'd feel lonely and don't like to have 100% of the attention on me. But I mean, if you become and idol I guess you like to get attention and time to shine
I think many kpop artists joined their group to get the kpop experience as celebrities, cause many of them don't have talent as a solo artist and they know it. It takes a certain ambition and understanding of your own talent to want to be a solo artists and many aren't up for it.

It's easy to say you don't want the money to go to the "company", but, girl, there are tons of people working behind the idols and they should get compensated well for their work, too. Costumes, mvs, shows, etc. these cost money. You can't dismiss all the time and effort that happens behind the scenes just because you want the idols to make bank. Of course, it sucks that a lot of idols aren't making millions, but it's a business. Some make tons of money, some do okay, and some don't. Some are in good companies and some are in bad ones.

The thing about pretending to be friends like c'mon people you can't live with someone for like 10 years and be with them 24/7 and still continue to hate/dislike them. Humans don't work like that. Yes they may or may not like each other at first but over the course of time, you start to understand and accept people for who they are. I'm pretty sure they all adjust with each other over time. Getting mad at each other is just a path to form strong bonding

And I think the more time you spend with someone, the closer you’ll get, as you said you’ll learn to adjust with each other. Even if Aespa made horrendous music and had 500 million scandals they would still find great success purely bc they are under SM. But Black Mamba is a pretty good song and they are phenomenal vocalists (one of the only things SM does right is finding talented vocalists) so I think their talent alone will garner them pretty good success plus they have great digitals for Black Mamba
i stan a lot of groups and to me, all of them seem close. but of course that might not be the case. what i know for sure is that bts, got7, stray kids, gidle and mamamoo FOR SURE see each other as family, not even as best friends. maybe dreamcatcher too but i wouldn't be so sure because i only started listening to them a few months ago. that's all.
The assumption that Red Velvet will disband doesn't have any substance because it wasn't a hiatus that was intended. It was a hiatus that happened because Wendy had to go through recovery and rehabilitation because the injuries she suffered are difficult to heal and to recover from. On top of that, they take a while as well. I'm sure they'll get a comeback after Wendy has her comeback.

i mean almost all netizens said that snsd, exo rv and nct and any other sm artists flop but look at them now. thats a normal case for sm groups to not do well in the start but for aespa they have been doing well and breaking records since debut
some ( not all ) kpop agencies are pretty fair about money and payment, for example BigHit and YG, about 60% of the whole income goes to the artists themselves, when 40% goes to the company, like the members of BP BTS BIGBANG most if not all them are ranked on the richest kpop idols in the industry, like waaay up maybe top 30 or 20 smthn.
i didn’t bring this up by myself, i saw the percentage of incomes of some kpop agencies, and kpop richest idols from some articles, but i do respect the person whom in 8:00 💗.

i feel like every company has brought views for their idols at least once. now im not going to hate on blackpink (im a blink) but the numbers on their dance practices just dont add up to me sometimes, i will go in and it will have maybe 200k views but then i refresh the side and it suddenly has 1.2M views and the video might have been posted like 45min - 1 hour ago and thats enough time for half of the fandom to watch it, it just doesnt add up. Like i said i feel like every company has brought views or likes at some point of their groups existence 🤷🏼♀️

I can't really say anything about other groups, but BTS have said many times that they have had many fights, you'll have members not even speaking each other, or they don't want to be in the same room, there is even a clip in Burn the stage episode 4 where Jin and V fought but they literally had to go on stage and perform like 5 minutes later. BTS have said they deal with arguments by talking things out, and not letting it sit because things get worse when you don't address them, which you also see in that Burn the stage episode.

I think all the stuff I see about Red Velvet's disbandment is just dumb. People keep talking about how long of a hiatus they've had which must mean its the end but did y'all just forget that Wendy was in hospital for months? And then after being discharged had to go through physical therapy for even more months? If they had had a comeback before now it would have meant that Wendy would have been preparing for a comeback before she had completed her physical therapy, do y'all not want her to get better? I find it baffling that people will drag SM about the lack of an RV comeback when they should actually be praising them for letting Wendy have a really good amount of time to recover, lets not forget how severe her injuries were people. This past year the girls have all been active besides Wendy, Yeri with Yerihanban & modeling, Joy with all her modeling and acting and obviously Irene & Seulgi with their subunit + other promotional activities. This year was actually really good for them in the long run as it really allowed them to progress with their solo careers without having to worry about Red Velvet scheduling. My bet is they'll have a summer red comeback

My opinion is that Exo has the best vocal line in k-pop like when you watch their lives and you see what there able to do is something not many groups can do! For example Baekhyun mood sampler that came out today him hitting a C6 which really shocked me and told me that damn no one is going to be able to cover that song.
as an exo-l for 8 years and know about vocal technique, they aren't the best but they're one of, the 2nd actually just behind super junior's kry.

I see in the comments that lots of people start mentioning groups they think are genuinely close. In my opinion, the most common thing would be that in a group, happens like at school, in class: you have your best and closest friends, or at least someone with who you spend your school day together, a friend. But when you have to do a project with other classmates, even though you don't consider them your friends, you still can have a good time with them, and there's respect; you know each other, you can be together, there's no tension or awkwardness, but you wouldn't talk about more personal things or issues and there's not enough trust and familiarity compared with your close friends.
In my opinion, in a group they are not all close friends "like siblings", but they appreciate and know each other. Also, remember, they live together in most cases, and spend a lot of time together. After being with other people for years 24/7, usually, you end up becoming friends, maybe not the closest ones (or maybe yes, you never know), but they have shared a lot of time and moments together, enough for vlives and variety shows. Of course, things like AOA's Jimin's case can happen too, but in general if they all respect each other and are willing to get along enough for cooperation and teamwork, they shouldn't have any big problems. Everyone can argue, even with close friends and also classmates, but as long as it doesn't end in a toxic relation and they end up talking and understanding the other's position it's okay.
I wouldn't say the group as a whole are siblings, but niether that they aren't colleagues.
For example, ina grupo of 6, maybe A and B are real close friends, C and D are also very good friends with each other, and then A, E and F are quite good friends. And, as a whole, they are not close enough for being considered like brothers and sisters but the environment is very nice.
For example, I believe that bts' Tae and Jimin trully are bestfriends. I'm not assuming or thinking that the other members or groups are fake friends, I'm just talking about just one specific example. Also, Stray Kids it's a special case because members were chosen by their leader and not by the company. I think Chan really took into account the chemistry of the team, not just putting random people in a group. And, I suppose that he didn't choose people who were not going to have chemistry at least with him (not wanna say that he's selfish, just want to explain that for obvious reasons, no one would choose someone they don't like for their team, doesn't matter how good it's singing or dancing or rapping).
The money idols get depends on the activities,of course,companies and idols help each other,never forget that there are so many people working behind the idols

Only the biggest idols get paid well. People who don't debut under the big 4 are basically immediately put into debt and work their asses off for mediocre pay checks, and some don't even get paid. Because idol careers has such a short lifespan in most cases, idols invest their paychecks in things like stocks and real estate to ensure they're well off in the future as well. The biggest idols don't even need to spend their paycheck on expensive boujee closets and items because they're often sponsored or gifted to them
I think that the money doesn't go to just the company or the idols, acc its distributed to the producer, the song writers, the choreographers, the idols, the company, etc.
