thanks for covering this. kill my doubt had such itzy spirit throughout the whole album, cake had the classical itzy themes of self-assurance and encouragement. and its still getting support from midzys trying to get it to 100 million views.

Finally someone else talking about this EP 😭 all of the songs were amazing and I loved cake. I thought it was the “itzy” sound people were missing so I was shocked to see people hating on it

yea i kind of agree but I'm a die hard midzy so when cake came out i went to twitter , TH-cam comments and reddit to see what people thought about it and id say about 75% of hate comments were about the views being lower cause people didnt understand that they didnt have ads. If they had ads like pretty much every other group gets it would have like 140 mill views and over a 100 mill streams and people would be praising them cause most people form there opinion around numbers instead of what they like.

I don't really stan the groups that already has a fan base before debut because when they debut even if their songs are average still they would get that immense popularity because their seniors already paved the path for them.......
But there is something about itzy and nmixx that i really like... Idk specially itzy is like my comfort group.... They have been constantly working hard for the past 5 years and i feel like they deserve to be at top than anyone else.
I am not saying others are not deserving or not hardworking or anything but its just that everyone at this point is cyberbullying itzy... When itzy's documentary was released people started hating on jyp for forcing his artists like its literally his job to help them with production and ofcourse he would know them better than anyone of us.... But when these so called fans were calling itzy flopzy, hating them for not being talented, hating them for not writing their own songs, hating lia for not being a good vocalist and yuna for being a pick me was not a problem for anyone..... Like wth they are humans too bro what the heck do you expect from them??????

you are so real, its true that if u debut in a big agency you’ll be known before ur debut but i dont its fault of the artists. especially itzy and nmixx are truly talented!! nmixx incredible vocals and itzy hardwork and dance talent and everything, theyre really amazing. ofc their hate was nonsense, as many hate trains, but also yeah i hate jyp for his behavior because “you can do your work” but even being kind and costruttive, hes not. hes just dumb and mismanage his groups, bleah

@@avvocadosss yeah that's true but I think out of all the companies jype is the only company where the idols are very much comfortable with the founder.... That's something I really like about jyp

I definitely enjoyed it for a time. The only song I still listen to is Bet on Me. I actually didn't like it initially but it's really grown on me.
No offense to anyone but I felt that the rest of the album were good songs, but would not last, and the act that I don't listen to Cake, None of my business, Kill Shot and the last one (i forget the name) kinda proves the point. Don't get me wrong, I loved hearing some of these songs at a recent concert, but I don't have them on my playlist.
However, their most recent album (Born to Be) was perfect. From top to bottom. Except that most of the songs are ot4. Their solos were great, the group songs were great, even the ones that are generally considered throwaways in the kpop industry (aka not the b-side and title track). And although it's more recent, I have all of that albums' songs in my kpop playlist. I guess we can really test my argument that BORN TO BE was the best album in a year of so, to see if it stands the test of time, cuz kill my doubt didn't.
To be fair to ITZY, i find most kpop releases to be songs that don't last. That's why they do such frequent comebacks (or may it's the result of the frequent comebacks? Kinda the chicken or the egg type of scenario...) Like for example, although I love SKZ new album, and I currently love every song, I'm pretty sure that Mountain, JJAM, Runners, and Straykids will not be added to my kpop playlist. I listen to them now cuz its the seasonal craze.
Hate to draw the comparison, but it's like seasonal anime, there are some great ones that you will keep a watch out for, and there's those you watch just bc it's releasing currently.
And these are the only 2 groups I even give the consideration of listening to the whole album, except maybe NJ if there's some good things I'm hearing about it)

it is okay, i mean these are just taste, im a midzy and i have my favorite, we use to remember songs that we like and this is subjective and yes btb is really a great album and its so different from kmd, so i guess these are just taste :)
