    I love how you said the B stone wasn't "butt ugly." You are so real and sooo refreshing! I get bored with so many "precious" garden shows. Thank you!

      I am loving the front step too! I think it would be a great option for our home. Question, I think you mentioned that you extended it more to one side than the original stoop. I have always wanted our stoop to be wider, but was concerned about that looking unbalanced, meaning not centered on the door. Thoughts how you determine that from a design standpoint?

    Beautiful transformation. Really found the info on the pavers and stoop installation helpful. Hardscapes aren’t nearly as glamorous as pretty flowers but so important for a functional landscape. Thanks for including this part of the process 🧱 !!!

    It looks wonderful! The steps and stoop are something I have never seen. Beautiful and classic looking. Plants look great. What a great crew! The installation was meticulous. However, Michele, you need a pair of work boots if you are working with that heavy stone🤨! Those cute open toed sandals are a no no!

    It looks very nice. For people who want a more filled in look, I'd add more hostas. Doubling the amount of them would surely be cheaper than the conifers or a Japanese maple. Even if they would eventually become crowded they aren't too difficult to dig out and divide. But then again, maybe the homeowner doesn't want to do even that maintenance. As you said, filling in the gaps with flowering annuals in pots like the beautiful ones in your own house tour video shouldn't be that cost prohibitive.
    It might be fun to put in some reliable old daffodil varieties in the fall. I had a clump of 'Ice Follies' that bloomed for 20 years. :)

    Really enjoyed your video tonight I have only just found you and have subscribed to ensure I don’t miss any of your great content👍the transformation of this front garden was wonderful and I definitely agree with you about not cramming shrubs and trees together. Are the homeowners doing something with the front wall of the house as the brickwork looked odd.
    Looking forward to more of your videos

    The stoop looks wonderful……I love it! You did a very job at explaining how the pavers are installed! We are awaiting for our new paver sidewalk to be installed! I think are from NU Lock probably the name wrong.

    Don’t you use native plants? They establish deep roots and use less water, feed pollinators.

    • @gardeningTLC

      When the situation calls for it. Every job is different and this homeowner specifically wanted some of the plants we planted.

  • @lindatogliatti6463

    When you planted three you removed the wire, but left the burlap. Why didn’t you remove the burlap too?

    • @gardeningTLC
      @gardeningTLC  10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The burlap keeps the rootball intact...if you break that rootball, your tree will probably not make it
